Banana Milk

Banana milk is a delicious homemade alternative to other less healthy milks. Try it out over fruit cereal or with oatmeal, enjoy it as a drink on its own, or served alongside a cookie recipe like Banana Oat Breakfast Cookies or Raspberry Linzer Cookies

The fructose in banana is the liver’s favorite source of food. It provides quick fuel to the liver and wakes up sleepy cells, increasing their ingenuity and work output. Banana soothes the linings of the intestinal tract and also soothes the nerves attached to the intestinal tract. Contrary to popular belief, bananas are one of the most antibacterial, anti-yeast, and antifungal foods. They are a great food to combine with other nutrient-rich foods or to take with supplements, because they improve the liver’s ability to absorb nutrients.

Banana Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 fresh spotty banana
  • 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cups water, to desired thickness

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until very smooth. Pour over cereal, chopped fruit, drink as a glass of milk, or any other way you choose.

Fruit Fear - They Lied To You

You have been told “one of the largest, greatest deceptions of our day – that fruit is bad, fruit is harmful, fruit is dangerous.” The lie that fruit is harmful and should be avoided is part of the war on fruit and has created what I termed Fruit Fear.

Sugar and the Body

Fruit is critical for your body for many reasons. In fact, without sugar, your body could not survive. Your brain requires sugar to function! That’s right, your brain runs on sugar, which is glucose, and not fat. Every single movement you take, task you do, thought you think, and word you speak requires glucose. Your brain heats up when you think and requires sugar to keep it cool. This explains the instinctual cravings for sugar that we experience during highly emotional and stressful situations in life. Like antifreeze acts as a coolant for an overheated car, the glucose we get from eating fruit helps to calm and cool our brain.

Neurological symptoms like anxiety, brain fog, eye floaters, aches and pains, chronic fatigue, and many more, require consistent, uninterrupted levels of glucose. Fruit is the incredible healing tool needed to recover and heal these symptoms.

Fruit and Trendy, High-Fat Diets

Many people today are being steered away from fruit and instead, steered towards trendy, high-fat diets. These high-fat diets cause a stagnant, sluggish liver and weight gain. Fruit haters, however, spread the belief that the sugar in fruit is the reason you’re gaining weight. This is a lie. The occasional banana or orange a person consumes is not the reason they’re gaining weight. The reason they’re gaining weight is the fatty meals they are consuming on their high-fat diets, regardless of if it is plant-based or animal-based.

Insulin Resistance

The sugar you consume from fruit attaches itself to insulin to get into your cells and keep your body alive. The fat you consume does not attach itself to insulin and go into your cells, that is not its job. The fat gets in the way of sugar entering your cells – it’s a menace. Insulin resistance occurs when the fat and the sugar combine. Fruit haters would like you to believe that fruit is causing this insulin resistance but that is not the truth.

Fruit as Medicine

Fruit is the most anti-aging food on the planet, critical for keeping our immune systems strong, and therapeutic for our bodies. Do not fall victim to this fruit fear propaganda and disinformation.

Other Topics in this Podcast Episode Include:

  • How fruit is not sweet enough anymore, and that’s why many people don’t like it
  • Fruit is the most anti-aging food on the planet, and how anti-aging experts are so off the mark
  • Fruit is needed critically to battle your caffeine addiction that’s aging you
  • The value of fruit with seeds and without seeds
  • Fruit is critical for those who suffer with gastroparesis, colitis, Crohn’s and other digestive system conditions

Moving Forward

Fruit has become a scapegoat so you don’t have to look at the real problems and issues that are causing symptoms. This protects the industries, continues the war on fruit, and keeps you sick. Fruit is medicine. As with anything, you need to learn how to use it, the power it holds, and what it can do for you. In the world today, nobody is teaching you how to use a piece of fruit. The health industry wants to use fruit to scare you. Do not let fruit scare you. Fruit is powerful medicine and a critical healing tool for everyone.

“Just because professional fruit haters don’t know how to use fruit as a tool, they would rather throw it under the bus along with the people who are sick.”

Chemtrails: The Sky Is Falling

In this podcast episode, you will learn the shocking truths from Spirit of Compassion about Chemtrails, how they affect all of us, and what your body needs from you to protect your health.

My first experience with Chemtrails was as a child when Spirit of Compassion explained to me that there are Contrails and then there are man-made poison trails, where man is poisoning man. This harsh truth I learned as a child, is what we now know as Chemtrails. So, I call it “The Chemtrail Game.”

Chemtrails and Animals
When bees are docile and seen crawling on the ground, people often assume they are misplaced, but instead are dying a slow death.

Chemtrails and the Environment
Each new generation doesn’t know how clear and blue the sky was in the past, we were born and raised with the new sky and that is all we know. We have become frogs in a pot of boiling water. Just like the frog that doesn’t know the temperature in the water has changed until it’s too late, we don’t realize the sky is becoming less blue.

Tools to Protect Yourself
To support your liver and flush out these harmful toxins, I recommend bringing these Medical Medium tools into your daily life:

  • 16 to 32 ounces lemon water
  • 16 ounces celery juice
  • Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie

Other Topics Discussed in this (Podcast) Episode Include:

  • The hidden history of Chemtrails and secrets behind the planes you see in the sky
  • Flocks of birds dying all at once, we’re losing our bees, and sea life washing up on the shore, what’s the deal?
  • What we are really breathing in when jogging in the mornings
  • The dirty secret of the red tides, and the real reason our skies are no longer a rich blue
  • Is there anything in our rain besides water?
  • What’s going on with grass-fed animals and the health of our soil
  • Are Chemtrails affecting weather and the climate?
  • Why are the Polar Caps really melting?
  • What your body needs from you and how to protect yourself

Moving Forward

It is not enough in the health world today to just be a health expert; you need to know why you are sick and what you are really up against. There is hope when you are empowered and have the truth about what is going on. Your body needs to be validated and know you understand its fight, that you possess the right tools to heal, and that you are ready to work together to fight for your health.

“There is a reason we need to take care of ourselves. We need extra help. We need the right tools. Your body needs to be validated. It needs to know you understand it’s fight; that you understand what it’s up against. Your body needs to not only have the right tools you possess to offer your body, but it needs to know you’re in the game with them.”

Troublemakers That Make Us Sick - Food Chemicals

If you have a chronic illness or symptom such as acne, eczema, headaches, reproductive issues, bloating, anxiety, IBS, weight gain, SIBO, or any other symptom or condition, or you simply want to have the best health possible in the future, it’s important to avoid common food chemicals that can exacerbate symptoms. I talk about these food chemicals in Medical Medium Cleanse To Heal: Healing Plans for Sufferers of Anxiety, Depression, Acne, Eczema, Lyme, Gut Problems, Brain Fog, Weight Issues, Migraines, Bloating, Vertigo, Psoriasis, Cysts, Fatigue, PCOS, Fibroids, UTI, Endometriosis & Autoimmune and share how you can cleanse to remove them from your body.

If you wish to heal, I recommend limiting or altogether avoiding the following:

  • Aspartame and other artificial sweeteners
  • Citric acid
  • Formaldehyde
  • Monosodium glutamate (MSG)
  • Natural and artificial flavors
  • Nutritional yeast
  • Preservatives
  • Alcohol

Many people are sensitive to these ingredients, and while some of them can seem fun in the moment, their effects on our physical and emotional well-being aren’t so enjoyable. I share exactly how you can cleanse your body of these food chemicals in Cleanse To Heal.

Aspartame and other Artificial Sweeteners

You’ll find this in diet sodas as well as hidden in flavoring. Aspartame goes into the liver’s deep, inner core and is unique in the way it’s stored in the liver—it tends to injure small blood vessels inside the liver, causing them to atrophy or shrink. Other artificial sweeteners are also highly toxic to the liver.

Citric Acid

Citric acid is very irritating to the linings of the stomach and the intestinal tract, so it can create a lot of inflammation and discomfort if you’re sensitive to it. Citric acid (the additive) is not the same thing as naturally occurring acid in citrus. Try not to confuse the two. Citrus itself is a healing food. The isolated ingredient citric acid, however, is often corn derived. Especially if you’re experiencing any kind of stomach pain, keep an eye out for citric acid on ingredient labels and consider skipping foods that include it.

Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)

MSG typically builds up in your brain, going deep into your brain tissue. It can then cause inflammation and swelling, kill thousands of your brain cells, disrupt electrical impulses, weaken neurotransmitters, burn out neurons, make you feel confused and anxious, and even lead to micro-strokes. It also weakens and injures your central nervous system. MSG is especially harmful if you have an illness that involves your brain or central nervous system. However, there are no circumstances under which it’s good for you. As a result, this is an additive you should always avoid.

The following terms usually mean that MSG is an ingredient: glutamate, hydrolyzed, autolyzed, protease, carrageenan, maltodextrin, sodium caseinate, balsamic vinegar, barley malt, malt extract, yeast extract, brewer’s yeast, corn starch, wheat starch, modified food starch, gelatin, textured protein, whey protein, soy protein, soy sauce, broth, bouillon, stock, and seasoning.

Natural and Artificial Flavors

Any ingredient with a name like natural flavoring is hidden MSG. Natural cherry flavor, natural orange flavor, natural lemon flavor, natural fruit flavor..they’re not just fruit extracts. The same goes for smoke flavor, turkey flavor, beef flavor, natural peppermint flavor, natural maple flavor, natural chocolate flavor, natural vanilla flavor, and so on. (Although pure vanilla extract is safe to use.) Each type of natural flavor potentially contains multiple biohazards and chemical compounds.

Artificial flavors can represent any of thousands of chemicals that were birthed in a lab. Don’t take risks by consuming them.

Nutritional Yeast

Nutritional yeast is an MSG-contaminated ingredient—there’s a reason why it’s so addictive, with people pouring it on to flavor countless foods. It also has the potential to be an irritant to the digestive system and feed bugs such as unproductive bacteria.

Preservatives

If you’re already anti-preservative and take care to buy foods that don’t list them in the ingredients, it doesn’t mean they’re not sneaking into your food. Accountability is reckless as far as preservative labeling goes. Not to mention that there were all those years before you became aware, so your liver had plenty of time to collect different varieties of chemically created preservatives. Your liver could be holding on
to preservatives from hot dogs you ate decades ago, cotton candy from a fair, a milkshake with imitation fruit flavoring, a purple ice cone…the list is never-ending.

Alcohol

Alcohol is extremely hard on the liver, causing it to become sluggish and stagnant and injuring liver cells. When someone drinks, it hinders the liver’s ability to acknowledge, decipher, extract, and retain the vitamins, minerals, and other helpful materials that are also coming in through the blood. It slows down the liver’s ability to run its over 2,000 chemical functions for the body. (Don’t let this stop you from using hand sanitizer with alcohol in it. Killing off the flu virus or strep from a public bathroom or other germy spot outweighs what your liver’s going to receive from that sanitizing wipe.)

In the case of herbal tinctures, actively seek out alcohol-free versions (avoid the word ethanol, too). You can also refer to my supplement directory of preferred supplements. I don’t sell supplements or own a supplement company; I simply maintain a directory of high-quality supplements to help you.

Formaldehyde

You can be exposed to this troublemaker from so many sources, everywhere from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals to carpets to food. It does what alcohol does to the liver, only much more extreme. It’s also a viral fuel.

Find out more about the troublemakers to avoid and how to heal in Cleanse To Heal.

Papaya Pudding

The key to this vibrant healing pudding is to let your papaya properly ripen. When ripe, papaya is sweet and delicious and blends into a creamy decadent pudding you can savor.

This healing recipe is one of over 75 recipes in the book, Medical Medium Cleanse to Heal

When someone’s intestinal tract is nervy from inflamed nerves caused by troublemakers all along the gut lining, papaya soothes those nerves, allowing inflammation to reduce. This improves the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream to head up
to the liver. The red-pigment phytochemicals in papayas allow liver cells to become more agile and versatile so the liver can function at its optimum.

Papaya Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1/2-1 large Maradol papaya, cubed

Directions:

Place the papaya in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tip:

  • It’s important to only use papayas that aren’t genetically modified. Maradol papayas are a large variety that are not GMO.
  • Make sure to use only ripe papaya—you want the flesh to be spoonable. You can usually judge ripeness from the outside, when the skin gets some orange or yellow and yields like a ripe avocado under pressure from your thumb.

Medical Medium Bread

A great sandwich bread is one of the most versatile recipes to have in your repertoire. Whether you’re making lunchbox sandwiches for your children, spouse, or yourself; making avocado toast for your family on weekends; or serving it alongside a bowl of delicious veggie soup, a reliable bread recipe that is gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free, & corn-free and made without any harmful ingredients is welcome in almost any kitchen.

Medical Medium Sandwich Bread

Ingredients:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Mix together the ground flaxseeds and water. Set aside for 5 minutes, until thickened. Add to a medium-sized mixing bowl together with the applesauce, maple syrup, and water. Whisk until uniform.

Add the oat flour, millet flour, tapioca starch, and baking powder to the wet ingredients and stir until evenly mixed. Set aside for 15 minutes for the batter to expand.

Pour the batter into a loaf pan, being careful not to lose any of the air bubbles that have formed in the batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Remove from oven and carefully tip out of the loaf pan right away. Remove the parchment paper and place on a wire rack until it has completely cooled. Slice and serve!

Sweet Potato & Zucchini Stew

Stews really are comfort in a bowl. Sweet potato and zucchini come together in this recipe to provide a delicious, liver-healing meal you can enjoy all for yourself or to share with loved ones. This stew is wonderful on its own or with a fresh salad by its side.

This delicious recipe is one of over 75 recipes in the new book, Medical Medium Cleanse to Heal: Healing Plans for Sufferers of Anxiety, Depression, Acne, Eczema, Lyme, Gut Problems, Brain Fog, Weight Issues, Migraines, Bloating, Vertigo, Psoriasis, Cysts, Fatigue, PCOS, Fibroids, UTI, Endometriosis & Autoimmune

Sweet potatoes: Sweet potatoes have phytochemical properties that calm heated, angry, stagnant, sluggish, and toxic livers and help prevent spasming. They also offer a range of hormone-balancing phytochemicals for the liver; the liver uses sweet potatoes and yams to regulate and control some of its hormone functions.

Zucchini: Zucchini is soothing to the intestinal tract walls, pushing out pathogens such as bacteria and fungus, allowing for better absorption of nutrients that can be sent up to the liver. Zucchini is a beneficial gallbladder food, containing phytochemicals that actually reduce gallbladder inflammation.

Sweet Potato & Zucchini Stew

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 1/2 cups diced sweet potato
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 1/2 cups roughly chopped zucchini
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup diced tomato
  • 2 tablespoons pure tomato paste (find one without additives)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup tightly packed fresh cilantro, roughly chopped, to serve

Directions:

Place a saucepan on medium-high heat, and then add the onion, sweet potato, and garlic. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the onion is soft. If the vegetables stick to the pan, add a bit of water.

Add the zucchini, together with the ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, paprika, red pepper flakes, tomato, tomato paste, and the cup of hot water. Stir well. Place the lid on, lower the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove the lid and cook for another 10 minutes, until the sweet potato is cooked through and the stew has thickened.

Serve topped with fresh cilantro.

Asparagus Soup

If you’re looking for more ways to enjoy asparagus, try this nourishing Asparagus Soup. This recipe lets asparagus speak for itself, while offering accents of lemon and herbs to bring out its natural flavor. It’s a lovely, light choice all on its own, served alongside a flavorful salad, or alongside another dish of your choice after the 3:6:9 Cleanse.

This delicious recipe is one of over 75 recipes in the book, Medical Medium Cleanse to Heal

Asparagus provides a wealth of flavonoids, many of them undiscovered or unstudied, that are highly anti-inflammatory; they act as natural aspirin and soothe a hot, overburdened, struggling liver. The liver’s ability to cleanse increases greatly from this calming effect. Asparagus brings order to a chaotic, sick liver. The liver’s immune system strengthens instantly from asparagus. It increases bile production yet doesn’t allow the liver to overwork itself in producing bile. Asparagus helps dislodge fat cells, expelling them from the liver, and helps rejuvenate the liver’s deep, inner core. Asparagus is one of the most important liver-healing foods. Consider putting it on the menu at least a few times a week.

Asparagus Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped onions or leeks
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 pounds asparagus, ends trimmed and chopped
  • 3 cups water or Liver Rescue Broth (recipe on page 394)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or basil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Asparagus ribbons, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Place a large ceramic nonstick pot on medium-high heat and add the onion and garlic. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the onion is translucent, adding a spoonful of water if needed. Add the chopped asparagus and cook for a further 3 minutes, until the asparagus begins to soften.

Add the water or Liver Rescue Broth, dried thyme, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until the asparagus is very tender.

Ladle the soup into a blender and blend until smooth, letting steam escape as needed (you might need to do this in batches). Alternatively, you can use an immersion blender for this.

Pour the soup back in the pot and bring to simmer. Taste and adjust seasoning. Divide between bowls. If desired, use a vegetable peeler to create asparagus ribbons as garnish. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • If you have this soup on Day 9 of the Simplified 3:6:9 Cleanse, skip the garnish of asparagus ribbons and just enjoy the blended soup.
  • When choosing between water and Liver Rescue Broth for the ingredients, keep in mind that the broth will produce a richer flavor. Store-bought vegetable stock isn’t called for because it’s very difficult to find a variety that’s free from oil, salt, natural flavors, and/or other additives. For convenience, make a batch of Liver Rescue Broth in advance and freeze it (consider ice cube trays for easy thawing) so you have it on hand for recipes like these.

5 Fun Ways To Serve Watermelon

One of the fun things about watermelon is how many ways there are to serve and eat it! Cutting your watermelon a different way can make it fresh and new for children, family, friends, or even yourself. Watch this video to see five fun ways to serve watermelon and read on below to find out some of the healing benefits of this delicious fruit.

On every level, including biochemically, melon is exactly what our bodies need. Melons are essentially balls of purified water. This highly active fluid binds onto poisons of all kinds in the body, including mold, mycotoxins, viral neurotoxins, undigested protein toxins, ammonia gas, and bacterial toxins, flushing them out to allow the immune system to restore itself. Further, the fruit’s high electrolyte content helps protect the brain and the rest of the nervous system from stress-related strokes, aneurysms, and embolisms. Melon thins the blood and reduces heart attack risk, helps prevent heart disease and vascular issues, and can even reduce liver and kidney disease—if someone is suffering from liver or kidney malfunction, melon can mean the difference between life and death. The water in melon is nearly identical to our blood, and its sodium, potassium, and glucose are also abundant and bioavailable, making melon one of the most hydrating foods you can eat. This hydration is critical, as it helps to lower high blood pressure, among other benefits.

Melon is one of the most alkalizing foods. The fruit’s highly bioavailable and bioactive trace mineral count is responsible for driving electrolytes higher than normal, making them easily usable by the body. In return, the body’s detoxification processes become amplified, driving out traces of DDT, other pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals from deep within the organs. High in silica, melon is an excellent food to restore ligaments, joints, bones, teeth, connective tissue, and tendons. Melon is also one of the most powerful glucose balancers, working to prevent insulin resistance and lower elevated A1C levels.

Tip: Remember to eat melon on an empty stomach to avoid a stomachache from this predigested food getting held up in your gut by slower-digesting foods. Melon is an ideal breakfast food (after celery juice if you drink it) for this reason.

Potato Salad

It’s hard to beat a good potato salad. Whether you enjoy it during the 3:6:9 Cleanse or you make it a staple afterward, it’s a meal that is always satisfying and comforting. The fresh herbs plus the cucumber and radish in the potato salad give it flavor and crunch while helping you digest the potatoes better. That’s a win-win.

This delicious recipe is one of over 75 recipes in the book, Medical Medium Cleanse to Heal

All of the ingredients in this recipe hold healing properties. Let’s take a look at two of them.

Potatoes: Abundant in amino acids that specifically inhibit viral growth. Potatoes are high in glucose that provides substance to the liver, as it’s precisely what the liver relies on to keep strong. It also helps build up glycogen storage, the very resource that protects us against blood sugar problems, weight gain, fatty liver, and dirty blood syndrome. Potatoes keep the liver grounded and stable, giving us a good constitution. They’re also shunned for being
a nightshade, when in truth they have the ability to reverse many varieties of chronic illness.

Parsley: Its phytochemicals have anti-troublemaker effects that dislodge poisons and catapult them out of your liver. The intense green pigment in parsley contains an alkaloid specifically for liver rejuvenation; tissue in the liver improves when exposed to these alkaloid compounds. Parsley has
a purging effect on gallbladder sludge, though not on gallstones. Its phytochemical compounds settle at the bottom of the gallbladder, where the sludge lies, to do their good.

Potato Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

OPTIONAL ADDITIONS

  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced radish
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup chopped asparagus, steamed or raw

Directions:

Add 3 inches of water to a medium-sized pot, bring it to a boil, and add a steaming basket. Place the potatoes in the basket, cover, and steam for 5 to 10 minutes, until tender. Remove and place in a bowl.

Add the garlic, parsley, green onion, mustard powder, and lemon juice. Mix well. Add any additions you would like.

Divide between bowls and serve.

Tip:

  • If you don’t like parsley, you can replace it with another herb you do like, such as basil, dill, or cilantro.
