Healing from Hashimoto's Thyroiditis & Fatigue

Watch Brittany share how Medical Medium information helped her heal. Diagnosed with Hashimoto's, her conditions and symptoms included chronic fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, anxiety, panic attacks, postpartum depression, tingling and numbness, neurological issues, and more. Thank you for inspiring so many with your healing story Brittany!

The same virus—Epstein-Barr virus— that causes Hashimoto's and other thyroid conditions can cause fatigue. This symptom can occur at different stages of EBV. Early on, during the mono phase, fatigue can result as your immune system puts its energy into fighting your first active, present, and ready-to-go-into-action viral blood infection. Once EBV is in the organs, a second type of fatigue—neurological fatigue—can occur from the virus releasing its neurotoxins. Neurological fatigue is frequently mistaken for adrenal fatigue, though they are truly distinct. Neurological fatigue and adrenal fatigue can occur either separately or at the same time, because one has to do with the nervous system and the other with the endocrine system.

Adrenal fatigue is a real and legitimate condition—there's a reason that I devoted a chapter to it in Medical Medium. Still, we must be careful not to identify every case of fatigue as adrenal fatigue—which is what's happening in many medical communities today. Adrenal fatigue as the across-the-board answer is distracting from the truth, which is that late-stage Epstein-Barr virus is targeting the central nervous systems of countless people. Viral neurotoxins are flooding their systems, creating an undetectable viral encephalitis (brain inflammation) that creates irritated, lethargic, sensitive nerves throughout the body and can get in the way of life in devastating ways.

Healing Lyme Disease, Transverse Myelitis & Brain Fog

Kate was suffering with Lyme disease, transverse myelitis, misdiagnosed MS, chronic fatigue, itchy skin, tinnitus, depression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and brain fog. Since following Medical Medium information she's experienced a 90% reduction in these symptoms. Thank you Kate for sharing your incredible healing journey!

To understand the undiscovered truth about Lyme disease, read this excerpt from Medical Medium Celery Juice: The Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time Healing Millions Worldwide: "You may be interested to know that Lyme disease is a chronic viral infection. While you might have been diagnosed with a bacterial infection, the symptoms of Lyme are viral. Even if bacteria such as Borrelia are present, they're not causing what makes Lyme patients suffer. The symptoms of Lyme are neurological, and bacteria don't create neurological symptoms because they don't produce neurotoxins. Only viruses feeding on toxic heavy metals such as mercury, aluminum, and copper—as well as gluten, eggs, dairy, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides that are inside our livers and other parts of our bodies—create the neurotoxins that cause Lyme disease."

Crispy Spanish Potatoes

Enjoy these Spanish-style crispy potatoes when you’re looking for some comfort food or a healthier option than potatoes fried or roasted in lots of oil, which is hard on the liver. The crispy outside coated in spices gives each bite a wonderful texture and an explosion of flavor. Enjoy alongside a fresh, leafy green salad or another salad of your choice.

“Potatoes: Abundant in amino acids that specifically inhibit viral growth. Potatoes are high in glucose that provides substance to the liver, as it’s precisely what the liver relies on to keep strong. It also helps build up glycogen storage, the very resource that protects us against blood sugar problems, weight gain, fatty liver, and dirty blood syndrome. Potatoes keep the liver grounded and stable, giving us a good constitution. They’re also shunned for being a nightshade, when in truth they have the ability to reverse many varieties of chronic illness.” – Excerpt from Liver Rescue

Crispy Spanish Potatoes

Ingredients:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400F.

Place the potatoes in steamer or colander set over a pan of boiling water. Cover with a lid and steam for 10-15 minutes, until almost tender. Remove and place in a large bowl. Set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together the tomato paste and aquafaba/water. Pour the mixture on top of the potatoes and mix until well covered. Add the optional brown rice flour, smoked paprika, cayenne, garlic powder and sea salt. Mix until evenly coated. Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray covered with parchment paper and roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring half-way, until crispy. If the potatoes aren’t crispy then leave them in a little longer.

When ready, serve the potatoes with a squeeze of lemon juice and freshly chopped parsley.

Serves: 3-4

Truth About The Ketogenic Diet

If you’ve looked into the trendy diets of today, you’ve probably come across at least one diet that focuses on getting enough protein and minimizing carbohydrates. The truth is that there are many high protein and low carbohydrate diets that have been trendy over the last few decades. Today’s ketogenic diet is just one of the latest iterations of the high protein, low carb diet trend that started in the 1970s. While some benefits can be gained from any diet that eliminates processed foods like candy, cake, cookies, and fried food, there is only so far a high protein, low carb diet can take you when it comes to healing your body. In truth, this way of eating is as misinformed—and nearly as harmful—as it was when it started decades ago. I know you might have read or heard that high protein and low carbohydrate diets are beneficial, but today I will share why they are problematic, especially for someone with a chronic health condition or symptom.

Following a keto diet is damaging for your body and brain whether you eat an animal-based keto diet or a plant-based keto diet. Some people experience temporary relief or weight loss on a keto diet, but it’s important to understand that these improvements are short-lived. Especially if you suffer from chronic illness, autoimmune disease, neurological conditions or mysterious symptoms, you’ll want to run the other way from anything close to the keto diet.

For a full understanding of what your body really needs for healing and long-term health, check out Liver Rescue: Answers to Eczema, Psoriasis, Diabetes, Strep, Acne, Gout, Bloating, Gallstones, Adrenal Stress, Fatigue, Fatty Liver, Weight Issues, SIBO & Autoimmune Disease.

Inherently Flawed

The entire premise of the keto diet is incorrect to begin with. The diet involves restricting carbohydrate intake while focusing on high protein and fat intake. The theory is that this way of eating causes your body to go into a metabolic state called ketosis, where you efficiently burn fat as an energy source for your body and brain.

The reality is, it’s not possible for your body to go into ketosis if you’re eating any amount or form of sugar whatsoever, including the natural sugars found in most foods. That means anyone eating even a tiny bit of nuts, seeds, avocado, cheese, butter, tomato, or green juices is taking in natural sugar. Unless someone is eating only bacon three times a day (in which case they’d feel terrible and cause even more damage for themselves down the road), they’re not entering ketosis.

The idea that your body can switch to burning fat as fuel is also flawed. We don’t run on fat. We run on glucose, which is sugar. If it were true that our bodies could flip from burning glucose for energy to burning fat for energy, as the keto diet suggests, then it would be impossible for someone who was overweight or obese to starve. If the ketosis theory is correct, you could take away an overweight person’s food completely and they’d continue to live for a long period of time, using their fat as energy. But that’s not how it works. Fat does not convert to usable material for our bodies.

Anyone of any weight can starve or be malnourished without the glucose and nutrition their body needs, that is, without the glucose and nutrients that are bountiful in carbohydrates such as fruits and starchy vegetables, and without the nutrients found in leafy greens and herbs. These are what I call the CCCs, which stands for Critical Clean Carbohydrates. I detail why these foods are necessary, helpful and healing in Liver Rescue and share how dozens of the foods in the CCC category bring healing to the body.

The Old Roots of High Protein, Low Carb Diets

To everyone’s detriment, the world has become anti-sugar and anti-carbohydrate. Shunning fruits and starchy vegetables is taking away people’s ability to heal. How did we get here? The answer requires a quick history lesson and an open mind. In the early 1930s, the meat packing industry and the government joined forces to promote protein. Around this time, instead of going to the farmer and the butcher shop for meat, animal products were becoming industrialized. They were made cheap and available in mass. They were promoted as critical. Monetary interests were put ahead of people’s health.

The idea that protein is more important than anything else was pushed by the partnership of industry and government. This belief was indoctrinated into the conventional medical model and taught in grammar schools. It got drilled into everyone’s thinking and consciousness (and has remained there in the decades since).

Before this colluding effort to push protein, health practitioners were not focused on protein and meat. Protein wasn’t the top choice to sustain people. Alternative practitioners and healers especially believed in fruits, leafy greens, vegetables, herbs, potatoes, nuts and seeds. And although they weren’t focused on protein, the reality is there’s some protein in everything you eat. It’s in spinach, it’s in berries, it’s in bananas. It’s everywhere. Nonetheless, the baseless but calculated decisions to promote heavy protein intake continue to influence and confuse our thinking today. For more on this topic and how we have been misled, check out my podcast and article on The Truth About Protein

Taking Aim at Fats...and Missing

People who are in the health industry have always been in search of the best diet. In the 1970s, doctors were seeing the rise of heart disease, high blood pressure, liver disease, cholesterol and diabetes. People were cutting out fast food, processed food and greasy foods, yet they still were experiencing all kinds of symptoms and conditions. In the 70s, doctors and the medical system had correctly recognized that too much fat, too many animal products and too much red meat was contributing to disease.

All that fat intake leads to higher fat content in the blood, which leads to a lack of oxygen in the blood. Over time, diminished oxygen levels getting to the heart and brain contributes to problems like strokes and heart attacks. Too much fat in the bloodstream also triggers the adrenal glands to shoot off adrenaline as it tries to clean up your blood to protect you.

Unfortunately, the realization that fat was harmful to our health didn’t translate into an effective response. Instead, grocery shelves filled up with low-fat and fat-free products (which often contained unhealthy, processed ingredients or trans fats). People began eliminating fats that actually had healthy properties, such as coconut oil, avocado, nuts, seeds and olives. And on top of that, people continued to eat lots of animal protein. People didn’t realize that animal protein translates into animal fat, which means they were still eating high fat diets even if they thought they had a “lean cut.” They were still consuming way too much fat—and often even worse types of fat than before—on their low fat diets.

With this flawed approach, any progress that could have been made fell apart. Health professionals realized the low fat diet trend wasn’t working. Eventually, the only thing left to do (because protein remained untouchable due to the agenda and money behind it) was to go after carbohydrates. That was the birth of the keto diet.

Since then, it’s been one version after another of a trendy low carb, high protein diet. The same concept has been repackaged into different names over the decades with just a slight twist to market it as its own unique diet program. One thing that has altered slightly is today’s high protein diets have a little more carbohydrates. Modern versions allow in some leafy greens, a bit of avocado, or a few berries and nuts. That’s because the older versions that allowed none of these healing foods destroyed people’s health. Our bodies and brains need the nutrients, antioxidants, phytochemicals, vitamins and minerals that are packed into leafy greens, fruits, berries, vegetables, coconut water and raw honey. Sprinkling these healing foods into today’s high protein, low carb trends makes these diets a little less harmful.

Why Keto Can (Sort of) Work (Temporarily, Sometimes)

When people commit to almost any diet, including a high protein, low carb diet like keto, they get off all the worst of the worst foods. They eliminate fast food, greasy food, processed foods and refined sugar. They clean some things up and eliminate some toxins, which offers their bodies a bit of reprieve.

The true cause of most chronic health conditions and symptoms, including weight gain, are what I call troublemakers. In Liver Rescue I explain more about these troublemakers: viruses, bacteria, toxic heavy metals and man-made chemicals. All of these have been prolific since the Industrial Revolution, and they’re making people sicker than ever at younger and younger ages. Your liver works incredibly hard to capture and filter out troublemakers, but it’s got a big job to do.

Diets that are high in fat and protein are a huge burden to a liver that’s already working overtime to deal with toxins. And think about how fat and sugar usually go together: doughnuts, cakes and cookies; pasta with butter; Asian food with sesame oil or peanut oil; fatty ribs with BBQ sauce; even peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. People don’t consume a lot of sugar alone. Nobody’s on an all-candy diet. Yet sugar has become the scapegoat for health problems in recent years while the fat that goes hand in hand with it is overlooked.

Instead of just removing the unhealthy, refined sugars, the fear went too far and people became afraid of the healthy natural sugars in fruits and starchy vegetables. Now people are taking all sugars out and keeping fats and protein high. Certainly people see some relief upon taking out refined sugar because that’s one troublemaker to the body. For instance, when people remove sugars they’ll see A1C levels might drop or diabetes and prediabetes improve. But it doesn’t fix the problem altogether.

Too much fat in the blood is a big problem. When there’s too much fat in the blood, the body tries to get rid of the sugar. It tries to move sugar into the cells because your cells need sugar to survive. But it can’t accomplish this well because the fat blocks the sugar from entering the cells. So then your body produces more insulin and you end up with insulin resistance. The sugar gets trapped in the bloodstream, insulin resistance begins, A1C levels go up and the liver becomes more sluggish.

So that improvement seen when someone removes sugar is a smoke screen to the real problem. The minute they bring any sugar back, their problems return. That’s because sugar was never the problem in the first place. The real issue for chronic illness, diabetes, blood sugar issues and weight gain is a sluggish, fatty, tired liver that’s overloaded with pathogens and toxins. I explain exactly how diabetes, blood sugar issues, weight gain, and many more symptoms and conditions develop and how these troublemakers are at the root of chronic illness and autoimmune disease in Liver Rescue, along with guidance on how to heal.

Another Keto Downfall: Intermittent Fasting

People tend to do intermittent fasting when they’re on a keto diet. This is because they feel better. They feel better because eating fat and protein all day eventually makes you feel terrible, like you’re falling apart. With all that fat clogging the bloodstream and reducing the blood’s oxygen levels, your organs and cells can’t get the oxygen they need. Fasting offers a reprieve compared to the alternative of eating more fat and protein. So people often fast, filling their depleted energy levels with caffeine and coffee and chocolate to get through the day.

Of course, this is harmful too. Dumping caffeine into the body floods your system with adrenaline. Adrenaline is corrosive, and it’s another thing your liver has to sop up and try to filter out. Down the road, people who are eating lots of fat, and caffeine in the meantime, will sadly find themselves getting sicker and sicker.

If someone does temporarily feel better eating an animal-based keto diet with multiple meals a day, then aside from the removal of the processed foods they may have been eating, it will be because of the adrenaline naturally found in the animal foods they are eating which can make someone temporarily feel better. But this isn’t a true healing that’s happening, but a mask to how they’d really feel without that adrenaline. Eventually, the person will start to feel worse and worse.

Sustained Healing That Works

Now that you know the truth about the keto diet and high protein, low carb diets in general, it’s important to educate yourself on what your body really needs to heal and thrive. That’s what I cover in detail in all of the Medical Medium book series. In Liver Rescue I lay out exactly how you can heal and move forward. You may not think you have any issues with your liver, but the truth is that nine out of ten people right now have an overburdened liver to some degree and if you have any symptom or condition, such as acne, eczema, migraines, cold sores, fatigue, vision problems, digestive issues, or any other, it means your liver needs your help. Fresh Salsa

Fresh Tomato Salsa is one of the most versatile recipes to add flavor and nutrients to any meal. Try it as a dip; a topping for salads, steamed or baked vegetables, potato nachos, or pasta; or in lettuce wraps, collard wraps, nori rolls, potato tortillas, sweet potato tortillas, or any other meal you enjoy! You may want to make this Tomato Salsa in larger quantities so you can enjoy it with your meals many days in a row.

Tomatoes: Harness critical micronutrients, phytochemicals, vitamins, and minerals to support many functions of the liver. Lycopene is a beloved nutrient that the liver admires: the liver uses it to shield itself from cell damage, plus lycopene helps the liver detox red blood cells safely, smoothly, and efficiently. The fruit acids in tomatoes help keep the gallbladder healthy, helping rid sludge from the gallbladder and even reduce gallstone size. Even poorly grown tomatoes have a high mineral content. These minerals often get to the deep, inner core of the liver, helping prevent disease where it commonly starts for people. Tomatoes grow at night, under the moonlight, and the liver also responds to moonlight—when it’s a full moon, the liver tends to work harder at cleaning, filtering, and processing in the wee hours of the morning. When organic or heirloom tomatoes are in the diet, the full moon energy that they collected during their growing cycle works with the liver’s ability to cleanse. If you’re avoiding tomatoes due to trendy nightshade hatred that constantly recirculates over and over again, you’re missing out on keeping your liver healthy and preventing disease.

Onions: Very similar to garlic, onions have antimicrobial sulfur compounds that expel unfriendly pathogens from the liver. Onions have a disinfecting quality for the liver, keeping it from becoming inflamed. They also improve the temperature control or “thermostat” of the liver so it can heat and cool itself properly.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1/2 serrano chili or jalapeno, finely minced
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Sea salt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients to a medium-sized bowl and mix well. Serve immediately or refrigerate until needed.

Serves 3-4

Healing Brain Fog, Panic Disorder & Numbness

Watch Jennifer share how she healed crippling brain fog, tingles and numbness in her legs, extreme panic disorder, joint pain, fatigue, endometriosis, trouble breathing and swallowing, and more. Thank you Jennifer for sharing your story and inspiring so many others!

Chronic brain fog can be very disruptive in someone's life. "Brain fog mostly stems from the liver and partly from the brain. As you know by now, the liver harbors certain troublemakers—for example, the pathogen EBV. Many, many people carry an EBV viral load in the liver without realizing it. If your liver is also filled with other troublemakers, they'll provide food to the virus. One such food is adrenaline, which you know the liver soaks up like a sponge in order to protect you from this stress hormone scorching your central nervous system when you're in fight-or-flight (even the milder forms of it, like driving in heavy traffic). That fear-based adrenaline is one food source for EBV. Toxic heavy metals and pesticides are other favorite viral foods. The very reason that viruses such as EBV camp out in the liver is because the food sources there are so plentiful. When EBV consumes them, it releases different forms of waste matter, one of which is a neurotoxin. As the liver fills up with these neurotoxins, it reaches capacity, at which point they escape into the bloodstream as blood is flowing from the liver. Neurotoxins have a unique travel ability, an infiltration quality, almost like a fumigant, that allows them to easily transport themselves to different places—it's what lets them cross the blood-brain barrier. In the brain, they can cloud up, interfere with, and short-circuit neurotransmitters."

Find out the true cause of brain fog, panic disorder, and more and how you too can heal in the NY Times best-selling book Medical Medium Liver Rescue: Answers to Eczema, Psoriasis, Diabetes, Strep, Acne, Gout, Bloating, Gallstones, Adrenal Stress, Fatigue, Fatty Liver, Weight Issues, SIBO & Autoimmune Disease by Anthony William.

Celery Juice for Eczema, Psoriasis & Other Skin Conditions

In this article, I’ll be sharing the truth about a range of skin conditions, from eczema and psoriasis to keratosis pilaris and others. Some of these skin conditions, such as eczema, are considered to be autoimmune conditions. Before I share more about skin conditions and how celery juice can help, it’s first critical to understand that the autoimmune theory that suggests the body attacks itself is inherently flawed. The truth is that your body never attacks itself. It’s always working for you and loves you unconditionally. There is a real reason for your symptoms and conditions and it’s vitally important to know what that is and why so many health conditions are said to be autoimmune today. I provide a full explanation of what I call the “autoimmune confusion” in Medical Medium Celery Juice: The Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time Healing Millions Worldwide and also check out Medical Medium Thyroid Healing: The Truth behind Hashimoto's, Graves', Insomnia, Hypothyroidism, Thyroid Nodules & Epstein-Barr.

The real cause of skin conditions that are labelled as autoimmune is a cocktail of viruses and heavy metals that can be found in your liver. What does this have to do with your skin? Everything.

Eczema and Psoriasis

Put simply, most skin conditions are caused by viruses in the body. Eczema and psoriasis, for example, are the result of a low-grade herpetic viral infection inside the liver. As I share in Medical Medium Celery Juice, “Most commonly, that virus is Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). When the virus feeds off toxic copper and mercury that are also in the liver and then excretes them, that copper turns into a dermatoxin. These dermatoxins build up and exit the liver, eventually finding their way to the lower levels of the dermis. Once there, the body tries to detox them by pushing the dermatoxins up through the skin. This can lead to almost 100 varieties of rashes that are deemed to be eczema or psoriasis or are given different names. In none of these cases is the immune system attacking the skin. That’s an inaccurate explanation that comes out of misunderstanding how eczema and psoriasis really work.” Medical research and science are unaware that this is the true cause of these skin conditions.

It’s not difficult to have a build up of toxic heavy metals in your body for viruses to feed on. Copper, which is partly responsible for skin conditions like eczema, can be passed down through your family line or you can be exposed to it in daily life. Copper pots and pans in restaurants that have been scraped and overused are a common source. So too are copper pipes. Pesticides are another source of toxic copper that build up in the liver from years of eating conventional food products and being exposed to pesticides used on your garden or nearby farms. Mercury is another part of the equation when it comes to psoriasis.

Rosacea and Actinic Keratosis

Rosacea is a particular form of eczema that can appear in many forms on the face and neck. Actinic keratosis is another form of eczema. People with more advanced, aggressive cases of eczema and psoriasis usually have a higher toxic heavy metal load and viral load inside the liver. It’s critical to start removing the toxic heavy metals from your body by including the five foods for safe and effective heavy metal detox daily: cilantro, wild blueberries, barley grass juice powder, spirulina, and Atlantic dulse. A convenient way to have these foods daily is in the Medical Medium Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie.

Vitiligo

Medical research and science are unaware that vitiligo is caused by a virus such as HHV-6 or EBV feeding on aluminum and traces of formaldehyde in the liver and elsewhere in the body, releasing an aluminum-based dermatoxin that, when it enters the skin, destroys the melanin pigments inside skin cells. This is what leads to the white spots and other discolorations that occur for someone living with vitiligo. It is not the skin’s immune system attacking the skin pigment. It is a real illness with a real cause. Aluminum byproduct can float around the bloodstream, waiting to interact with an underlying viral infection, due to something as seemingly minor as your last fluoride treatment at your dentist office (fluoride is an aluminium byproduct). Eventually, science and research will catch on to the effects of viruses and heavy metals on the skin but for now this information is unknown.

Lupus-Style Rashes

This type of rash is caused by EBV feeding off mercury and aluminum, creating a dermatoxin that surfaces to the skin in areas where important lymphatic highways reside. It’s why butterfly-shaped rashes can appear on the face, along with other forms of rashes that can land somebody a diagnosis of lupus. Once again, this is not the body attacking itself. It is a low-grade viral infection. Many people with lupus also get diagnosed separately with EBV because the doctor sees EBV come through in a blood test. Usually, they still won’t associate the virus with the lupus-style rashes. If a lupus patient visits a Lyme doctor, they may end up with a Lyme diagnosis as well—still not realizing that it all traces back to the same source: EBV.

For more on skin conditions and how to heal, you can read Medical Medium Celery Juice and also Medical Medium Liver Rescue: Answers to Eczema, Psoriasis, Diabetes, Strep, Acne, Gout, Bloating, Gallstones, Adrenal Stress, Fatigue, Fatty Liver, Weight Issues, SIBO & Autoimmune Disease.

Celery Juice and the Skin

Drinking celery juice can help heal each of these skin conditions and a multitude of others, including acne, prematurely aging skin, and dehydrated skin. Celery juice works such wonders on the skin for three primary reasons: coumarins, vitamin C, and sodium cluster salts.

Coumarins from celery juice travel to the top of the skin and reinvigorate skin cells from the inside out. This results in less skin cell death, less deterioration, and it supports nerves and blood flow. Many people are getting facials or visiting the sauna for the results they could see if celery juice was consistently consumed daily in the way I recommend in Medical Medium Celery Juice

The vitamin C in celery juice is unique from that found in other foods. This special form restores the liver’s immune system, increasing its capacity to fight off viruses and bacteria. Science and research know that there are white blood cells in the liver, but what they don’t know is that there are six different types of immune cells specific to the liver. For more information on this, take a look at Liver Rescue. You may take vitamin C supplements and that is important, but the vitamin C found in celery juice is different in that it doesn’t need to be converted. I’m not saying that supplements aren’t beneficial, because high-quality supplements of the right kind absolutely are, but celery juice offers this unique vitamin C that is part of the reason so many people around the globe are healing by drinking straight celery juice every day.

Sodium cluster salts are a natural subgroup of sodium that is found in celery. Research and science are still unaware of these cluster salts and how they help the body heal. These sodium cluster salts act as a poison to viruses and bacteria while remaining completely nontoxic and healing to your body. Celery juice also disarms the destructive charge of toxic heavy metals inside the body and helps the liver—where the toxins and pathogens responsible for skin conditions reside—to heal. I cover all of these healing properties of celery juice in great depth in Medical Medium Celery Juice

As celery juice kills off the underlying viruses behind so many skin conditions and heals your body in the other ways mentioned and more, over time you will see your skin improve. I always recommend also bringing in the other healing guidance I include in the Medical Medium books, such as Medical Medium Celery Juice and Liver Rescue, along with celery juice, in order to heal. Celery juice is a powerful tool, but it takes more than one 16-ounce glass. It also takes cutting out certain foods, such as eggs, dairy products, pork, gluten, canola oil, soy, and fried foods. I share the foods to avoid and the foods to emphasize and why in Liver Rescue

For those with more severe cases of eczema, drinking celery juice may appear to cause some initial symptomatic reactions. The reason for this is that in severe cases, the person will have a higher viral load and build-up of toxic heavy metals in the liver. When you first start drinking celery juice, then, the byproducts of this viral load feeding on the metals—the dermatoxins—get pushed out through the skin. It’s important to know that it isn’t the celery juice making your symptoms worse; the celery juice is effectively killing off the virus and detoxifying the dermatoxins.

The truth is that eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions can absolutely be healed. If you’ve been told you will have to live with it forever or that it’s genetic or autoimmune, you can now find peace in knowing this isn’t true. You can heal; it just takes understanding the true cause and taking the steps necessary to address it. For some, skin conditions improve rapidly. For others, it can take some time. Have patience and keep persisting. Read the Medical Medium books and apply what you learn so you have the tools and information you need to heal. Healing Tourette's, Weight & Sleep Problems

Having battled Tourette's all of his life as well as weight issues, sleeping issues, and skin issues, John's life was forever changed when he found the information shared by Anthony William, Medical Medium. Watch John share how he has transformed his health and life since. Thank you, John, for sharing your transformation and for inspiring others!

Most of the time weight gain is really about the liver. While two other factors, the thyroid and the adrenals, can often be involved, it's about what your liver is up against. Anything that overburdens the liver can be a factor. This includes dietary choices, toxic heavy metals, DDT and other pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, solvents, plastics, industrial chemicals, and other toxins—if any of these have built up in the liver, they're taking up valuable storage space, which can become a problem if they build up to a certain point. There's also viral and bacterial damage. Another factor is excess adrenaline and cortisol, and another factor still is fluid retention.

To fully understand how all these factors impact the liver and then impact weight, as well as how they cause skin issues and neurological issues like Tourette's, and to discover how you can heal, check out the NY Times best-selling book Medical Medium Liver Rescue: Answers to Eczema, Psoriasis, Diabetes, Strep, Acne, Gout, Bloating, Gallstones, Adrenal Stress, Fatigue, Fatty Liver, Weight Issues, SIBO & Autoimmune Disease by Anthony William.

12 Foods That Help Heal Epstein-Barr Virus

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is behind many symptoms and conditions, including multiple sclerosis, thyroid problems, fibromyalgia, cancer, chronic fatigue, lupus, Lyme disease, eczema, anxiety, endometriosis, infertility, rheumatoid arthritis, aches and pains, eye floaters, ringing in the ears, and many more, Medical communities are aware of only one version of EBV, but there are actually over 60 strains and mutations and each can create different symptoms and conditions as they move through the four stages of invasion in the body.

To understand how EBV works in the body, how it’s contracted, why so many people are sick with it but don’t even know it, how to heal, and more, check out Medical Medium Thyroid Healing: The Truth behind Hashimoto's, Graves', Insomnia, Hypothyroidism, Thyroid Nodules & Epstein-Barr.

Below you will find 12 foods that help heal EBV. Include them daily or as often as possible.

Wild Blueberries help restore the central nervous system and flush EBV neurotoxins out of the liver. They also help remove toxic heavy metals from the brain and liver and are a critical part of the Medical Medium Heavy Metal Detox. Wild blueberries smaller than their larger, cultivated cousins and can be found in the freezer section of many grocery stores.

Celery Juice has a subgroup of sodium that I call “sodium cluster salts” that inhibit the growth of EBV (and other pathogens). The sodium cluster salts also attach themselves to the viral neurotoxins that are responsible for so many neurological health issues and carry them out of the body safely so that nerves are less exposed to EBV’s damaging neurotoxins. The unique form of vitamin C in celery juice fuels the immune system so it can seek out and destroy EBV. These are just a few of the ways celery juice helps. For more on it’s incredible healing properties check out Medical Medium Celery Juice: The Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time Healing Millions Worldwide

Sprouts are high in zinc and selenium, which strengthen the immune system against EBV. The special probiotics that live on fruits, leafy greens and vegetables are what I call elevated microorganisms or elevated biotics. Elevated microorganisms are not to be confused with soil-borne organisms and probiotics derived from soil. The elevated biotics on sprouts make all the difference when it comes to true absorption of vitamins and minerals to benefit the liver and entire body so it can help fight off EBV and perform all of it’s other functions. Versus the difficulty most people with conditions have absorbing nutrients due to the overload of troublemakers in the liver and intestinal tract.

Asparagus has phytochemicals in the skin and tips of its spears that push back EBV and help stop it from reproducing. Asparagus is also an incredible alkalizer, meaning it helps anyone who has become acidic with a load of troublemakers like EBV and its byproducts return to a healthy state.

Spinach creates an alkaline environment in the body and provides highly absorbable micronutrients to the nervous system, which is critical because EBV targets the nervous system when it gets to stage four (read all about the stages of EBV in Thyroid Healing). Spinach binds onto and removes the jelly-like EBV waste matter in the liver that can contribute to mystery weight gain, mystery heart flutters and more. Spinach is best eaten raw to receive its benefits.

Cilantro is a miracle worker for EBV. It’s critical for binding onto toxic heavy metals such as mercury and lead that feed the virus. It also binds onto the EBV neurotoxins that, when loose in your system, can cause tingles and numbness, aches and pains, inflammation, depression, anxiety, and more.

Parsley removes high levels of copper and aluminum, which feed EBV and in turn cause skin problems. Parsley’s specialized mineral salts bind onto unproductive acids in the body to drive them out. This alkalizing skill makes parsley helpful for preventing and battling every type of cancer—and 98% of cancers are caused by a virus, which is oftentimes EBV.

Garlic is a powerful antiviral that defends against EBV by killing off virus cells. It’s also an antibacterial that kills off streptococcus, EBV’s cofactor, allowing for fewer UTIs, sinus infections, and opportunities for SIBO. Garlic helps flush toxic viral and bacterial waste out of the lymphatic system. Raw garlic is the most potent way to receive garlic’s healing benefits.

Ginger helps with nutrient assimilation and relieves spasms associated with EBV. With its own signature variety of bioavailable vitamin C, ginger is also a powerful antiviral against EBV. One of ginger’s special qualities is its ability to bring the body out of a reactive state—which can happen easily when EBV is on the scene—by soothing nerves and muscles. Use fresh ginger root whenever possible.

Raspberries are a great full-body detoxifying food, rich in antioxidants that specifically remove EBV’s byproduct and other viral debris from the bloodstream, allowing for easier overall cleansing. Raspberries also tend to bind onto and remove impurities delivered to the intestinal tract by a liver burdened by EBV waste matter.

Lettuce helps cleanse EBV from the liver and lymphatic system and is alkalizing to the body.

Papaya has amino acids and enzymes that when combined create undiscovered subcompound phytochemicals that repel viruses. Its vitamin C content is an anti-EBV secret weapon and also helps cleanse and rebuild the liver. Look for the Mexican and Central American papaya variety known as Maradol. These medium-to-large papayas are preferable to Hawaiian varieties, which have suffered GMO contamination.

Aloe Grape Slushy

Get the incredible healing benefits of aloe vera in this sweet grape slushy. Refreshing and delicious, this slushy makes a wonderful light breakfast or snack. If you suffer with constipation, you might find the combination of grapes and aloe vera in this drink bring you welcome relief!

Grapes contain high amounts of powerful antioxidants known as bioflavonoids, resveratrol, and anthocyanins. These phytochemicals are anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-microbial, anti-aging, and anti-cancerous and provide protection against anemia, degenerative nerve diseases, heart disease, viral and fungal infections, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disorders, and all forms of cancer. Grapes can also help provide relief from asthma, migraines, constipation, gastritis, chronic acidosis, indigestion, kidney disorders, fatigue, and vision problems.

Fresh aloe leaf gel binds onto toxic debris in the intestinal tract and carries it out of the colon during elimination. Aloe also reduces poisons and toxins in the intestinal tract so that they don’t travel up to the liver. It expels and diminishes ammonia inside the intestinal tract that otherwise seeps into the liver when food is putrefying due to low hydrochloric acid and bile production.

Aloe also works wonders for assimilation, circulation, and elimination. It is known to purify the blood, reduce inflammation, ease arthritis pain, prevent kidney stones, lower high cholesterol, prevent Candida, boost physical endurance, benefit cardiovascular health, and protect the body from oxidative stress. Aloe soothes ulcers, hemorrhoids, gastritis, diverticulitis, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and other digestive disorders. Aloe provides recovery from fatigue and aids in muscle function as well as optimal utilization of several vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It’s alkaline nature, helps to soothe acidosis and alkalinize the whole body.
