Healing From Allergies

Have you ever been to an allergist or taken an allergy test? Perhaps you’ve been told you’re allergic to certain fruits or vegetables, like celery or apples, but you’ve never noticed any reactions. Or perhaps you haven’t been told you’re allergic to a particular fruit or vegetable, but after you eat it, you experience symptoms like bloating, stomachache, headache, fatigue, itchiness, or burning sensations.

There are many tests available that claim to show if you’re allergic to certain foods. Unfortunately, these tests aren’t always accurate, and they often provide people with misinformation that can lead to confusion and frustration. This isn’t the fault of the practitioners who provide the tests. Science and research don’t yet understand how the foods we eat act inside the body and all the ways foods affect us. That makes it difficult for tests to accurately assess whether someone is sensitive to a specific food, or whether they’re actually experiencing detox symptoms, or whether their symptoms are caused by something else altogether.

Medical communities also don’t yet understand what really causes food allergies, sensitivities, and seasonal allergies. The true cause of allergic symptoms and reactions, which I’ll discuss more in this article, is usually pathogens in the body. For more detail on healing allergies, check out Liver Rescue.

The Truth About the Digestive Process

Think about when you ate your breakfast this morning. You probably enjoyed the delicious taste of the food as you took a bite and chewed it up, but do you know exactly what happened to the food once it entered your stomach? No, because science and research are still in the primitive stages of discovering what actually occurs when we digest food.

For instance, science has yet to discover that the hydrochloric acid in your stomach is actually composed of a blend of seven different acids. I revealed this truth in Medical Medium. These seven acids carry out a number of tasks that no one in science or medical has discovered. These important acids can be built up with help from particular foods such as celery juice.

Also, researchers haven’t yet identified the valuable subgroups of mineral salts that celery contains (though they are aware that celery contains sodium). These powerful mineral salts change the chemistry inside the intestinal tract, which helps to support the liver and other organs in our body.

If you juice celery, the drink can help kill off H. pylori, reduce inflammation and completely change your digestion for the better, all of which helps heal allergies. Once medical communities have a deeper understanding of digestion—which won’t happen for some time—they’ll be in a better position to help heal health issues, including allergies.

The Truth About Allergy Testing

Have you or a loved one ever had an IgG test done? This test claims to showcase the foods you’re allergic to, but it’s often inaccurate, and it can negatively affect the dietary choices you make. It’s vital that you don’t let the inaccuracies of this test keep you from eating foods that support your health.

For example, when an IgG test reveals that you’re allergic to celery, it’s likely that the celery is killing off a pathogen and that pathogen is releasing a toxin that’s creating a histamine reaction. Unfortunately, this may inaccurately appear as a celery allergy on the IgG test. In reality, the powerful celery juice in your system is healing you and destroying H. pylori, streptococcus, mold, and more.

Unfortunately, patients who aren’t aware of this can sometimes feel panicked by the long list of foods the test suggests they’re allergic to, and they may dive into unnecessary elimination diets. Hold onto the idea that you may be able to handle powerful, nourishing foods, like celery, just fine. (This is very different than someone who has an extreme, immediate reaction that causes a restriction in the throat, restricts breathing, or swells the mouth and needs immediate medical care).

Other examples of incredibly powerful foods that may inaccurately trigger the IgG test include:

  • Figs, which can help fight off E. coli and streptococcus.
  • Garlic, which can help eradicate H. pylori, C. diff, staph, streptococcus, E. coli, and mold.
  • Bananas, which are incredibly antiviral.

The reason these foods may trigger incorrect results on these type of tests is because when these foods enter the body, they kill pathogens, which then explode and release poisons. Because experts don’t realize this is occuring, they associate results on the test with the foods that appear to elicit these reactions.

Dairy Allergy & Lactose Intolerance

It may come as a surprise to learn that lactose intolerance isn’t actually a result of someone being intolerant to lactose. If you consume a dairy product and notice immediate discomfort—perhaps you are forced to rush to the bathroom—it’s likely due to the dairy products in your system hyper feeding a group of bugs in the colon and intestinal tract. Imagine these bugs like a pack of piranhas feeding. The bugs instantly tear into the dairy product, which stirs up immediate reactions in the body. (“Hyper feeding” is a term Spirit of Compassion taught me to describe scenarios like this).

When these bugs feed off lactose and other constituents in milk, they release a highly toxic poison that can trigger symptoms associated with lactose intolerance, including diarrhea, cramps, bloating, and more. If you take an allergy test but the results don’t mention dairy, you may still have a dairy allergy.

Wheat Allergy

What experts don’t know yet is that when someone has a wheat allergy or celiac disease, it’s not because of the wheat itself, it’s because the person has a pathogen in their body that’s feeding on the wheat. As the pathogen feasts on the wheat, it releases toxins, and that can create symptoms that last a few days or a few weeks. If someone has a wheat allergy or celiac disease, what they really need to do is start addressing the pathogens in their body by removing the foods that feed pathogens and bringing in antiviral and antibacterial foods and supplements. Pollen, Ragweed, and Hay Fever Allergies

If you have reactions to pollen, ragweed or hay fever, an underlying bacterial infection is the culprit. You can help knock down the bacteria by eliminating the following foods from your diet:

  • Wheat
  • Dairy
  • Eggs
  • Canola oil
  • Soy
  • Corn
  • MSG (Learn about the terms used to conceal the use of MSG in the “What Not to Eat” chapter in Medical Medium).

If you want even quicker healing results, remove:

  • Rye and other grains
  • Pork

Once you eliminate unproductive foods from your diet, any streptococcus or other pathogens in your system won’t have the fuel to proliferate and continue wreaking havoc.

Replace the foods you’ve eliminated from your diet with an abundance of fresh fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables, which can also speed up your healing process. Once you implement these recommendations, your seasonal allergy symptoms are likely to decrease and disappear completely after a period of time.

If major diet shifts seem overwhelming right now, start with one. Remove wheat from your diet, and you might see how even a single shift can ease your symptoms. Once you begin to notice the benefits of a small dietary modification, you may be more motivated to continue removing unproductive foods.

The Issue With Eggs

In the body, eggs can feed bugs and help grow cysts, nodules, fibroids, and tumors. I talk about this in Thyroid Healing. Again, due to the inaccuracy of food testing and so much misinformation, many people who are suffering from these issues or battling cancer believe it’s OK to eat eggs. Furthermore, their allergy testing may sadly lead them to avoid the very foods that could help them heal, such as blueberries or raspberries.

Anaphylactic Shock

Allergies that result in anaphylactic shock are a completely different issue than seasonal allergies or milder food allergies and sensitivities people experience. If you suffer from a severe allergic reaction to things such as peanuts, latex, paint, bee stings, or other foods and medications, it’s important you address these instances differently than seasonal allergies or milder food allergies.

Powerful Foods & Detox Reactions

There are certain incredibly powerful foods, such as fresh fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables, that you can eat to help kill off the pathogens that trigger allergic symptoms and wreak havoc in the system. These fresh, life-giving foods can help draw toxic heavy metals out of the body and eliminate other chemicals and toxins. As you read earlier, when certain beneficial foods are working to eliminate toxins in the body, these foods can trigger reactions in the body, such as a release of histamine. This may actually be a positive sign of the body detoxing and pushing unproductive substances out of the system. If you’ve had an IgG test or other allergy test done that suggests you avoid beneficial fruits and vegetables, it’s critical to reassess these suggestions.

Puzzling Detox Reactions

Do you or a loved one experience burning sensations around the mouth when you eat a piece of fruit, such as an apple? This peculiar feeling around the lips happens to a number of people. In the case of the apple, it may be that in the past you ate a conventional apple that was filled with pesticides or DDT, which is still in use in various parts of the world today. When you bit into the chemical-saturated apple, a reaction occurred. Following this, any subsequent apple you eat can trigger a similar physical reaction.

Fortunately, you can resolve this issue over time by implementing certain healing measures. To begin with, eliminate the main foods I recommend avoiding: corn, soy, canola oil, eggs, dairy, and pork. You can find the entire list in any of my books. Switch out these unproductive foods for meals and snacks that are filled with fresh fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables. Gradually, you’ll become less reactive, and issues such as burning sensations around the mouth will fade.

Oftentimes people who are suffering from chronic illness eat wheat, dairy, and eggs without realizing that these food choices are holding them back from healing. People may even blame a healing food for causing some of their issues because when they eat a celery stick, cucumber slice, or tomato, the healing properties of the food may temporarily cause some uncomfortable sensations while it draws toxins out of the body. If people don’t recognize these detox symptoms as beneficial, they may avoid foods that can actually help them heal and return to foods like bread, cheese, or butter, which don’t stir up detox symptoms, but stealthily exacerbate health issues over time.

When people are told they’re allergic or sensitive to healing foods such as celery, apples, oranges, and asparagus, it can be confusing and damaging misinformation. Changes to Consider

The IgG test and other allergy tests are faulty tools, and it’s important that you don’t let the misinformation they provide keep you from bringing healing fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables into your diet. If you’re surprised to learn that the IgG test suggests you’re allergic to pears, melons, raspberries or other fruits and vegetables you’ve never seemed to have a reaction to, talk to your practitioner and see if you could try incorporating these foods into your diet regardless of the test’s results. Removing foods because a faulty test suggests you may be sensitive can be detrimental to your health today and down the road.

Take your healing one day at a time and start by adding in some of the most powerful healing foods, such as celery juice, wild blueberries and sweet potatoes.

Healing Power of Parsley

Though it could technically be grouped with the other aromatic herbs, parsley is in a class of its own because of its skill at alkalizing all the body systems. You’ve no doubt heard of the concept of body acidity and alkalinity—that when the body becomes acidic, disease can occur. Well, wherever parsley is sold, it should come with a sign that says, “Fights acidosis more than anything else.” Normally, alkalizing foods only have the ability to promote alkalinity in one or two body systems, so other systems can remain acidic. Used appropriately and on a regular basis, parsley can alkalize the entire body, crossing body systems and driving out acidity across the board. (Note that pH strips don’t give you the feedback on body acidity that you may think they do. For more on this, see the “Harmful Health Fads and Trends” chapter.) Mineral salts are a large part of what makes parsley so alkalizing—parsley’s specialized mineral salts bind onto unproductive acids in the body to drive them out. This alkalizing skill makes parsley helpful for preventing and battling every type of cancer. 

The herb is an all-purpose pathogen-fighter; it keeps bacteria, parasites, and fungus at bay. Parsley is amazing for anything mouth-related such as gum disease, tooth decay, and dry mouth, as it impedes the growth of unproductive microorganisms there. It’s also a fantastic anti-DDT weapon—it has a great chelation effect that pulls out stores of herbicides and pesticides such as DDT that you never knew were hiding in your body and holding you back. Parsley is full of nutrition, including B vitamins such as folic acid, traces of B12 coenzymes, and vitamins A, C, and K. It’s also a highly remineralizing food, especially for those low in trace minerals; parsley provides magnesium, sulfur, iron, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, chromium, selenium, iodine, and calcium. 

Parsley is practically a wild food, as it doesn’t need much tending to fare well and provide for you; it can even handle some colder weather, meaning that it has an adaptogenic nature. When you eat it, parsley passes this will to survive and thrive along to you. Parsley is an excellent herb to replenish you when you’re depleted and exhausted. Like licorice root, though it doesn’t usually make the lists of top adrenal boosters, parsley most definitely should.

When a person gets enough of this herb, you’ll notice a more balanced state of mind and being.

SPIRITUAL LESSON

Too many people miss out on the health benefits of parsley because they’re not wild about the flavor. It’s not an allergy or an intolerance—they just decide to stick with what they know and love. When we don’t like something, even if we know it’s good for us, we tend to avoid it. What experiences, conversations, situations, responsibilities, and actions are you avoiding in your life that would ultimately help you? What valuable lessons are you missing out on? What benefits would you reap if you put aside your initial aversion and approached something you usually think of as unpleasant as an opportunity instead?

TIPS

* One excellent way to enjoy and benefit from parsley is to juice it with celery. The mineral salts in these related herbs work in tandem, with the parsley’s salts binding onto acids such as lactic acid in the body and driving them out while celery’s salts bind onto other sorts of toxins while also feeding and helping to form neurotransmitter chemicals (of which there are many varieties as yet undocumented by medical research).

* You can also make a tea from parsley, using the herb fresh or dried (though preferably fresh).The infusion process is a great way to extract the maximum amount of trace minerals and phytochemicals hidden deep within parsley, so that you can absorb these nutrients.

* For maximum benefit, seek out flat-leaf parsley. (Curly-leaf parsley still has great value, so don’t skip it if flat-leaf isn’t available.)

* Get into the habit of adding parsley to everything, whether you like the herb or not. At a certain point, habit will take over, and in the end, you’ll at least be using parsley in one meal a day. If you’re averse to parsley, experiment with it in various preparations (juiced, chopped and sprinkled on salad, blended into a smoothie, made into tea, and so on) until you find one you can tolerate. Then you can reap parsley’s nutritional benefits while it also pushes out what shouldn’t be in your system.

PARSLEY TABBOULEH

This salad is the perfect addition to a big meal eaten around the table with family and friends. It pairs perfectly with hummus and a platter of roasted cauliflower. Traditionally, tabbouleh is eaten inside tender lettuce leaves. Serve it in a huge bowl and use your hands to scoop it up with lettuce cups. Enjoy the tradition of gathering together around this beautiful meal.

  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 4 cups parsley, tightly packed
  • 1⁄8 cup mint, loosely packed
  • 2 cups quartered tomatoes
  • 2 cups quartered cucumber
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

Pulse 1/4 cup almonds in a food processor until roughly chopped. Set aside. Place 4 cups parsley in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Set aside. Place the remaining ingredients in a food processor and pulse until chopped and well combined. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl. Add in the parsley and almonds and mix together. Serve and enjoy!

Parasites: Myths & Truths

Have you been diagnosed with a parasite? If so, you are one of the many people who have encountered the rapidly growing trend of blaming long-standing health problems on parasites. In this article I begin to break apart these inaccurate, yet deep-rooted ideas that are quickly spreading and negatively impacting those who receive this misdiagnosis.

The parasite diagnosis is a trend that is quickly overtaking other trends that have been around for decades, such as the Candida diagnosis. To learn the truth about Candida, check out my radio show or read the chapter on Candida in my first book, Medical Medium. Instead of attributing patients’ health issues to Candida, many well-meaning doctors and health are beginning to shift the blame to parasites. Both of these diagnoses are usually incorrect and can keep you from learning the truth about how to fully recover your health. 

The Wrong Diagnosis 

Medical communities are still not aware of what is causing people to suffer from conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and SIBO. This lack of understanding often leads to incorrect diagnoses, like parasites, which are one of the current scapegoats for health issues such as these. When a person is handed this diagnosis, usually parasites are not actually the issue and something else in her or his body is triggering symptoms and conditions. Becoming infected with a parasite is vastly different to dealing with some some bloating, gastritis, constipation, tummy aches, stitches, and fatigue. 

The medical world has not reached a point yet where professionals can swiftly and accurately determine what is going on for someone internally. For example, the amount of byproduct the Epstein-Barr virus can expel in the liver and intestinal tract can lead a practitioner to believe that his or her patient is suffering from a parasitic infection. The problem with this diagnosis is that the person does not have a parasitic infection and is actually battling Epstein-Barr, a virus that can easily expel an abundance of byproduct and viral casings that get misdiagnosed as parasites because they’ve not yet been accurately identified. In my third book, Thyroid Healing, I go into great detail about the different mutated strains of Epstein-Barr that are able to adapt in order to enter various organs. During this process, certain strains of this virus can actually change their casings, and medical professionals may misidentify these viral casings as bacteria or a type of parasite.

Various types of bugs can show up in a person’s stool sample. Imagine mashing up a handful of insects and then trying to identify the different creepy-crawlers from the crushed pieces. It would be nearly impossible to tell which insects you were looking at from merely observing the smashed up bits. In a similar way, accurately identifying parasites in a stool sample is nearly impossible.

Rather than blaming parasitic activity for a patient’s chronic fatigue, aches and pains, or gut issues, the blame should be directed at the actual unproductive microorganisms that are creating these problems. If the symptoms and conditions you are battling have led you to be diagnosed with a parasitic infection, there is a high likelihood you have been misdiagnosed and are actually suffering from a low-grade bacterial or viral infection. If your particular troubles include gut issues and inflammation, it is likely that a bacterial infection is the culprit. Depending on your unique symptoms and conditions, a viral infection could be responsible as well. You may unknowingly have scar tissue and injuries in your intestinal tract and colon from old pockets of E. coli or streptococcus, or old viral deposits. Whether it be in your liver, spleen, pancreas, small intestine, or stomach lining, an abundance of scar tissue can trigger various issues. The health troubles you are fighting can be exacerbated by numerous variables including low hydrochloric acid, a sluggish liver, and food sensitivities. Fortunately, some of the healing steps health practitioners may have given you for a misdiagnosed parasitic infection, such as using herbs, may still have been helping you begin to heal the true cause of your health issues to some degree. 

Dealing with A True Parasite 

If you’ve been diagnosed with a parasitic infection in the past and are still alive today trying to manage the symptoms and conditions related to this supposed parasitic infection, there is a very likely chance that you were never actually dealing with a parasite. It is possible to become infected from an actual parasite, but when someone is suffering with a genuine parasite, either the person is able to knock the parasite out of her or his system, or the parasite can potentially end up killing the person. Bottom line, either you win or the parasite wins. There really isn’t an in between.

For example, a person can become infected with a parasite from eating raw pork. In this instance the person may end up in an intensive care unit with an incredibly high fever or in critical ailing pain feeling fearful for their life. Sadly, if their body is unable to eliminate the parasite, it could become devastating and life-threatening. The one certainty in this situation is that the parasite contracted from the pork will not be able to simply live in the person’s system for an extended period of time. The potentially fatal health consequences that can arise from undercooked pork is one reason to avoid this type of meat. 

If you’re eating raw or undercooked meat or chicken, you are putting yourself at risk for contracting the Toxoplasma gondii parasite. This parasite is so toxic it can give rise to hallucinations. Raw or undercooked meat may contain this parasite, but it can also be found on raw salads and raw vegetables prepared at restaurants that serve animal protein and animal products. Whether you are a meat eater, vegetarian, or vegan, avoiding raw salad and raw vegetables in restaurants that are not plant-based is a smart choice. Sticking with cooked food selections is a much safer option.

You could contract a dangerous parasite from drinking contaminated water in Mexico or from simply dining at a random bar and grill near your home. I’ve also known people who have almost died from eating street food in the Dominican Republic. So whether you are traveling internationally or just headed to a barbeque with friends, staying mindful of your food and drink choices is crucial. Malaria is another parasitic infection people can battle. Like all other parasites, someone cannot live with malaria in their system. A person is able to beat malaria, but if their body is unable to knock out the parasitic infection, the malaria can take their life. Amoebas and protozoan parasites are just the same. If your body cannot eliminate the parasite, the amoeba or protozoa can be life-threatening. You maybe wondering about Babesia, but is important to understand that this hybrid is mislabeled. It’s not entirely a parasite. In truth, three-quarters of this harmless hybrid is bacterial in nature. 

Medical research still does not fully understand the various microorganisms that linger on foods such as contaminated meat and chicken and in places such as swamps and still water. It’s a life or death situation when you’re dealing with a real parasitic infection. The truth is that if you aren’t able to beat these bugs, they can potentially beat you. If you have a parasitic infection you may experience violent vomiting or nonstop diarrhea. I’ve spoken with doctors and nurses who dread situations where people come into the hospital experiencing stomach problems related to a true parasitic infection. Often, professionals have to put the patient in a medically induced coma and hope that the patient is able to fight off the parasite over time. 

In certain cases, the body’s reaction is slightly more moderate than a usual instance involving parasites. If your body is able to quickly kill the parasite you may only endure a very brief stint of vomiting or diarrhea. In some instances, a person may feel ill for a few weeks while their body works to fight off the parasite. If this happens, the parasite might stir up less acute symptoms for slightly longer than a typical parasitical infection. But in the end, the parasite is killed. A true parasite can’t stay in the body long term.

Our bodies are amazing and they can beat a parasitical infection, and most of the time they do— there’s just a small percentage who are unable to beat them. If you ever have to endure contamination from a parasite try your best to keep a light heart through the agony and pain. Fiercely believe in your heart and soul that you will win because you definitely can! If you’re dealing with chronic health issues for an extended period of time, there is a significant chance those issues do not stem from parasites whatsoever. Likely something else is giving rise to these problems. 

The Bugs in Your Body 

It is important to understand that we all have an abundant variety of bugs in our bodies— some good bugs, some harmful bugs, and some that are neutral. Beneficial microorganisms contribute to your health and healing in a number of supportive ways. The neutral bacteria and other microorganisms in your system do not bolster your wellbeing, but they do not detract from your health either. Neutral bugs or even annoying, bothersome bugs that reside in you can actually push harmful parasites out of your system. Viruses like Epstein-Barr do not like when other invaders, such as parasites, are in the body, and these pathogens will actually help rid the body of other unwanted invaders. This is the reason that many people who suffer from autoimmune issues brought about by Epstein-Barr do not catch many colds or flus. If an invader gets into the system, Epstein-Barr will work to knock it out. There are some pathogens that may not provide you with any physical assistance, but contributes to your spiritual growth. When you go through an enormous trial that pushes you to your limits, like battling a chronic illness, and you finally learn the truth and are able to overcome and rise above whatever you were up against, you may experience radical transformation on a soul and spirit level. You may not realize this at the time, but the bacteria or virus you were battling and the trying circumstances it created actually helped bring about this soul transformation. In these instances, although the bacteria, virus, or other pathogen has caused you immense pain and suffering, it has also taught you something life-changing. By giving rise to this lesson, these bacteria, viruses, and similar pathogens distinguish themselves from true parasites that will ruthlessly take from you without giving you anything in return.

You maybe surprised to learn that Epstein-Barr was once an incredibly friendly virus that actually worked for you and not against you. I discuss Epstein-Barr indepth in my third book, Thyroid Healing. Sadly, agendas that drive conventional medicine and certain other industries have caused Epstein-Barr to become the troublesome virus we know today. However, as I mentioned earlier, Epstein-Barr and other viruses and bacteria can still give your body something, such as spiritual or emotional growth, that a real parasite cannot give you. 

Worms 

Alongside bugs, you may also have a number of worms in your system that do not affect your ability to live your life and do not give rise to noticeable symptoms or conditions. A few types of worms fall into the parasite category because they can grow quite large, work quickly, and can cause great harm if you do not remove them from your system. However, most worms are a different type of bug that should not be lumped into the same group with parasites. 

You maybe wondering about parasites that are protozoa-based and amoeba-based, but these types of parasites are not related to worms either. Unlike parasites, which can actually defeat their hosts, worms often live in humans without causing too many noticeable issues. It is not ideal to have worms in your body, but for the most part they do not cause nearly the destruction that true parasites can inflict. Although there are some rather harmful worms, most worms are almost neutral in their effect. Worms can actually help eat and eliminate unproductive garbage in the body from unhealthy foods and toxic debris, and the poison they release afterwards is neither highly neurotoxic nor dermatoxic. However, worms can strip your body of beneficial things as well. The majority of worms dwell in the organs and act in a slightly hostile manner. Fortunately, there are ways you can begin to draw worms out and clear them from your system.

If you’re working to eliminate worms, eating a diet that contains a larger amount of greens and green juices as well as a bit of fruit is an incredible way to start ridding your body of worms and worm eggs. If you are able to maintain a clean diet for an extended period of time, you will begin to draw worms out of your system. You may even notice worms turn up in the toilet over time as you continue to give your body what it needs to eliminate them. 

Garlic and onion are two foods that can be helpful to get rid of worms. Garlic especially, can be a fantastic weapon against worms. Alongside clean food choices with a significant focus on fruits, veggies and leafy greens, certain supplements can help with the removal of worms. You may want to try including an ample amount of olive leaf in your protocol for a period of time. Goldenseal can also be beneficial when taken every two weeks with a two week break in-between. If you’ve been told by a doctor or practitioner that you have a long-term parasitic infection, implementing this goldenseal routine will likely be helpful for you as well. It will help to lower the bacterial and viral load that is actually causing your symptoms because as you now know, you can’t have a long term true parasitic infection. There is something else behind your symptoms when it’s chronic.

Parasite Cleanses 

If you have been told you are experiencing a long-term parasitic infection, your practitioner may have suggested doing a parasite cleanse. If you have done one of these natural cleanses you may have even noticed some benefits. The reason for this is that when you attempt to address parasites through natural measures, you may have been unintentionally going after the true cause of your issues without realizing it. Natural cleanses advertised to help fight parasites can often begin to help knock down bacterial or viral loads in the body, which is why you might have experienced some improvement. 

Although some of the herbs in these cleanses can provide support, figuring out the unique pathogen you are up against and choosing the best foods, supplements, and herbs to combat your specific illness can allow proper healing. This post, as well as the other Medical Medium blog posts, radio shows, and books can help you figure out what you are truly up against and what steps you can take to begin moving forward. 

Steps to Take 

If you have been told you are dealing with a long-term parasitic infection, instead of immediately diving into a parasitic cleanse, I would first recommend eliminating any foods from your diet that could feed harmful bacteria and viruses in your body. As you now know, the reason to focus on eliminating bacteria and viruses rather than parasites is because most people diagnosed with a parasitic infection are actually battling a type of bacteria, or in some cases, a virus.

Ridding your diet of foods that can feed pathogens is a wonderfully beneficial action you can take. Try to eliminate eggs, dairy products such as milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt, as well as gluten and canola oil. If your diet includes animal protein or animal products, try to reduce the amount you consume while you work to heal your symptoms and conditions. If you’re an avid meat eater, reduce your intake of meat or chicken to once a day. This dietary change will allow you to incorporate a greater number of healing foods that can help kill off the bacteria in your system over time. If you eat a plant-based diet, being mindful of incorporating truly healing foods like fresh fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables is equally important. Certain vegan products like soy based products, most grains, processed cookies, cakes and other junk foods and more do not feed beneficial bacteria, and replacing some of these food items with foods that do can be a critical step. 

Supportive Foods

What people assume are parasite issues can often be bacteria-related, making it important to prioritize the health of your intestinal tract. Taking steps to feed the beneficial bugs in this part of your digestive system is crucial. Certain foods can help you accomplish this. Try incorporating dandelion greens and arugula, two powerful leafy greens. Cilantro and parsley are some other fantastic additions. Using a food processor to breakdown greens and bring more into your meals is a fantastic practice.

Juicing fennel bulbs, which are rich in vitamin C, can create a wonderfully healing drink. For another fantastic juice, run fennel bulbs, celery, and cucumber through the juicer. Drinking straight celery juice can be a game changer for your health. Raising hydrochloric acid levels, one of the celery juice’s many benefits, can support your body’s efforts to kill off bacteria. With adequate levels of hydrochloric acid in your body, you have a much better chance of killing off harmful invaders, including parasites. A second juice following your celery juice can be fantastic as well. You may want to include a mix of ingredients in this one. Some great vegetables to juice include kale, parsley, cilantro, and fennel. Aloe vera can be a powerful weapon for a number of issues. If you’re struggling with gut issues or even genuine parasite issues, regularly drinking coconut water can make an amazing difference. Lemon water and lime water are two other anti-parasitic drink options. 

Bringing in the top foods for detoxing heavy metals on a daily basis can be another highly supportive practice. By implementing the heavy metal detox, you can begin to draw out toxic metals such as mercury, aluminum, lead, and arsenic. You may feel like your parasitic issue is beginning to resolve, but what’s really happening is that a significant food source for the bacteria in your system is no longer available. 

Supportive Supplements & Teas 

If you have been told you have a long-term parasitic infection by a doctor or practitioner, and you aren’t willing to consider that this may not be an accurate diagnosis, I would still suggest bringing in an abundance of the healing foods mentioned above and discussing with your doctor some of the supplements and teas below that might support your situation. 

Oregano oil is fantastic for any kind of gut issue that stems from a bacterial infection. Lemon balm, olive leaf, and pau d’arco are three other great supplements to consider including in your protocol if you’re suffering from an issue that your doctor considers parasite-related. If you’re having issues in your gut or bloodstream, eyebright is a wonderful herb to include. Thyme tea and elderflower tea are excellent additions as well. Regularly sipping elderflower tea can help feed good bacteria in your gut— a protective measure to help you fend against any harmful parasites you may encounter. 

Cat’s claw can help with a multitude of pathogenic issues. This supplement can help knock down varieties of Epstein-Barr, HHV-6, shingles, and other viruses that fall within the herpes family. Cat’s claw can also help battle bacteria such as E. Coli and streptococcus as well as C. difficile. 

Doctors presently attempting to treat Lyme disease are beginning to avoid using antibiotics as a treatment option after watching forefathers in the world of Lyme disease inundate patients with antibiotics with little to no success. Gradually, the doses have been lowered and the time frame in which they are given has been extended. Presently, many doctors working with patients who have been diagnosed with Lyme avoid antibiotics altogether and opt for a more natural protocol that includes cat’s claw and intravenous vitamin therapy. Many have come to the realization that a more natural approach to healing which includes these and other supplements can actually move people towards recovery. I am not a proponent of misinformation or guessing games when it comes to a person’s health. Truth About Inflammation

Inflammation is a term you’ve probably heard a lot. “You’re inflamed,” a practitioner might say when you share you have joint pain, a rash, or strange pains. Or, “There’s inflammation in there,” a doctor may remark after reviewing MRI results. But inflammation is really a “lazy term” because inflammation only results from a deeper problem. Inflammation isn’t an answer—it’s an indicator that something else is going on in the body.

The Two Reasons for Inflammation

Inflammation never develops on its own, and it only emerges for two reasons. In the human body—where hundreds of millions of undiscovered chemical functions and chemical reactions are taking place per cubic inch—it might be surprising to learn that there are only two reasons behind inflammation. Medical communities are completely unaware of this fact.

The first reason is from a physical injury. Any damage to the body, whether it’s external or internal, may give rise to inflammation. Physicians are aware of this type of inflammation. But most providers aren’t aware of the second type of inflammation, which surfaces when there’s an invader—that is, any type of pathogen—in the body.

Injury

Have you ever sustained a sports- or exercise-related injury? In this instance, inflammation related to that injury likely emerged. This type of inflammation can also result from things like having dental work done, accidentally cutting yourself, slipping on ice, a sprained ankle, or a burn.

Invaders

There are hundreds of invaders that can stir up inflammation issues, including rashes, body aches, pains, and much more. How someone recovers from a knee replacement surgery is one example of how pathogens can create inflammation and impact the body’s ability to heal. Someone may have knee replacement surgery, recover quickly, and find him or herself walking soon after without issue. In this instance, the person likely didn’t have invaders triggering inflammation issues around the area where the surgery took place. However, if you have knee replacement surgery and the knee doesn’t seem to be calming down or healing properly, it’s likely an invader creating issues. This invader and the chronic inflammation it can provoke may have even been part of the reason the knee joint wore out initially. When it comes to knee and hip replacements, a slow, extended recovery is often partly related to the Epstein-Barr virus.

At present, some medical professionals blame inflammation on the body attacking itself, but this is a disastrously inaccurate theory and claim. As I’ve said so many times before and will continue to—the body does not attack itself. There are only two reasons someone will suffer from inflammation, neither of which is the body attacking itself. I brought this truth to light in Medical Medium and Life-Changing Foods. I go into even greater detail in Thyroid Healing. It’s critical that the faulty and damaging theory of autoimmune disease be rectified.

Types of Inflammation

Below are some common types of inflammation.

Brain inflammation. Many people suffer from different levels of brain inflammation. Nerves connected to the brain run throughout the body, branching out into various parts of the system. Neurological inflammation can occur when these nerves become inflamed. Numerous pathogenic invaders can play a part in the creation of this neurological inflammation, along with other factors, like heavy metal poisoning or MSG toxicity.

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), which has a number of other labels, including myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome, and systemic exertion intolerance disease, is often the result of mild brain inflammation from an Epstein-Barr virus. Even very mild brain inflammation can trigger a severe case of this condition.

If you have CFS, a specialist may be able to tell you that you have brain inflammation, but he or she will not be able to tell you the true reason why. In truth, it’s the Epstein-Barr and shingles viruses (many of which are undiscovered non-rashing varieties), or a combination of Epstein-Barr, shingles, and HHV-6. There are dozens of mutated strains of these viruses that haven’t been discovered yet by medical research and science.

Liver inflammation is an issue I see with extreme frequency. Liver inflammation is often the result of pathogens wreaking havoc in this organ. An invader can cause a number of problems, including triggering elevated liver enzymes. If particular damage is seen on an MRI or CT scan, someone may be handed a hepatitis C diagnosis. Although medical communities know that hepatitis A, B, C, and D stem from viral issues, what they don’t know is which virus is creating these issues. The cause of hepatitis C is Epstein-Barr creating damage in the liver for an extended period of time. If you have any symptom or condition at all, it means you have a burdened liver. It’s vital to learn how to take care of your liver, so I encourage you to read Liver Rescue.

The medical profession has to rely on on inflammatory markers in the blood or MRIs and CT scans to classify a hepatic liver at different stages of inflammation. But inflammation isn’t the answer! The true answer is that Epstein-Barr virus, sometimes along with other herpetic viruses, are creating the inflamed liver. A doctor might also try to pin mystery liver inflammation (as well as fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and other health problems) on autoimmune issues. But as I said earlier, inflammation never stems from the body attacking itself because the body never attacks itself.

Eye inflammation can arise from a number of different bacteria. You can pick up a stye, staph or come down with the flu just from touching door handles in public places and rubbing your eyes. Glaucoma stems from a mutated variety of the Epstein-Barr virus that triggers eye problems. (Learn more about Epstein-Barr in the EBV bible, Thyroid Healing).

Gut inflammation and colon inflammation are caused by invaders that enter the gut, wreak havoc, and trigger inflammation. For example, if you suffer from small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), you most likely have streptococcus in your system that’s creating inflammation and other gut issues. (Learn more about SIBO in Liver Rescue).

Other viruses and bacteria that can sit inside the colon and stir up major issues include mutated strains of shingles, Epstein-Barr, HHV-6 virus, cytomegalovirus, undiscovered HHV-10, HHV-11, HHV-12 or another of the many herpetic viruses in existence.

Conditions connected to colon inflammation can have a number of different instigators. If you suffer from colitis, a variety of the shingles virus is often the culprit. As I shared in Medical Medium, there are many varieties of undiscovered non-rashing shingles that cause a host of health problems. Inflammation can also occur if you catch a flu. If you’re only experiencing cold-like symptoms, you may think you have a rhinovirus, but these cold viruses no longer exist. I shared more on this topic in my radio show and article on Colds and Flus. The flu, which has taken over across the globe, now emerges all throughout the year. It can trigger inflammation in the sinuses, chest, lungs, and gut and may give rise to issues such as bronchitis, a serious cough, and severely weakened adrenals. Sinus inflammation can also occur because of streptococcus inside the sinus linings. Streptococcus can be nestled inside these linings since childhood and can create persistent mystery sinus inflammation.

The Effect of Food

Some health practitioners think certain foods, such as wheat, inflame certain individuals. This isn’t true. Gluten itself doesn’t inflame the body, but it does feed the invaders (pathogens) that are causing the inflammation.

For example, there’s a tremendous amount of misinformation surrounding celiac disease. Celiac isn’t hereditary. It’s an inflammatory illness where pathogens in the body are feverishly feeding on any gluten that’s consumed. Fueling these pathogens can lead to a host of negative reactions in the body, but the gluten isn’t directly responsible.

If you don’t have a pathogen in your system or only have an extremely dormant pathogen, then you’ll be able to eat all the gluten you desire without creating inflammation. Unproductive food choices may lead to other issues, such as the development of gallstones, which could lead to an internal injury if the gallstone gets stuck in the gallbladder duct. But any inflammation that arises from this issue would be injury-related, not pathogen-related.

The Role of Heavy Metals

Like the foods you choose to eat, heavy metals in the system don’t technically cause inflammation. However, heavy metals are a preferred food for the invaders in the body that cause inflammation and other issues. For this reason, it’s vital to safely remove heavy metals from the body.

Inflammatory Tests

There are a number of inflammatory tests, but I refer to these as “guess tests” because they can only reveal so much information, and they don’t highlight the underlying cause or provide you with answers on how to move forward:

The C-reactive protein test and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR or sed rate) test simply lets doctors know there’s inflammation. Doctors may use these tests to establish that you have inflammation and hand you a label, but the tests cannot reveal why inflammation is present or provide sufficient answers to help you heal.

The plasma viscosity (PV) test, IgA and IgG tests, and the antinuclear antibody test (ANA), may help reveal inflammation in your body, but again they won’t provide insight into the true cause. This is because the tests aren’t advanced enough yet and because the true causes of chronic illnesses are unknown to medical communities.

The liver enzyme blood work test and other similar tests, some of which are still being developed, also only identify inflammation.

Supportive Foods & Supplements

When you’re working to reduce inflammation, the more anti-inflammatory foods you can bring into your diet the better. One f the key reaosns they are anti-inflammatory is because they kill off the pathogens responsible for so much inflammation. (Many of these anti-inflammatory foods are detailed in Life-Changing Foods).

  • Garlic helps kill pathogens and is an excellent anti-inflammatory food.
  • Figs can kill pathogens in the gut, making them an incredible anti-inflammatory option as well. If you have a number of pathogens in your system, it’s best to not eat too many figs in one sitting because of the strong detox reaction you may experience.
  • Kiwis work in the gut to help destroy pathogens.
  • Lemons and limes have powerful anti-pathogenic properties. Squeeze these citrus fruits in water, on salads, and in your favorite sauces and dressings.
  • Pears have incredibly beneficial anti-inflammatory attributes are are important to bring in if you think you may have a bacteria, parasite or virus.
  • Papaya can be a particularly powerful food if you suffer from gut inflammation.
  • Apples, wild blueberries, and leafy greens, such as lettuce, arugula, and kale, are wonderful, pathogen-fighting foods that consequently help lower inflammation.
  • Peaches, plums, nectarines, melons, mangos, and cherries are flavorful anti-inflammatory recommendations.
  • Herbs, including rosemary, thyme, sage, and oregano, destroy pathogens and are anti-inflammatory.
  • Aloe vera is helpful. Learn how to make aloe water on the blog, or try out the tasty aloe cooler recipe in Life-Changing Foods.
  • Nettle leaf and lemon balm are wonderful anti-pathogenic supplement options.
  • Licorice root, another anti-inflammatory choice, is especially good at fighting off herpetic viruses. Using a licorice root supplement or regularly drinking licorice root tea can be a powerful step.

Foods to Avoid

As you eat more life-giving, anti-inflammatory fruits, leafy greens, and veggies, it’s helpful to eliminate the foods that create problems while you heal:

  • Wheat
  • Gluten
  • Dairy (including milk, cheese, butter, kefir, and yogurt)
  • Eggs
  • Pork
  • Corn
  • Canola oil
  • Citric acid
  • MSG
  • Artificial and natural flavors

Medical communities are using inflammation as a catch-all term, but it’s important you know that inflammation is caused by more than just physical injuries—it’s also caused by invaders. Healing SIBO

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a widespread issue that has become a popular diagnosis recently. This article highlights the underlying cause of SIBO and reveals manageable steps you can take to heal.

The True Underlying Cause 

If you receive a SIBO diagnosis, your doctor is likely to suggest taking an antibiotic. Unfortunately, in many cases any antibiotic you use will only offer temporary relief. Although medical communities recognize that SIBO is bacterial, they’re not aware that SIBO actually originates from chronic streptococcus in the body.

For many people, streptococcus appears during childhood. It can be passed from a parent at conception so that an infant can enter the world with strep already in their system. Others may pick up strep in daycare, or at school, or other places. Strep is easily passed from one person to another, and there are many strains you can contract.

Throughout the years, medical professionals have tended to focus on group A strep and group B strep, which are two of the eight groups of strep science and research have publicly recognized at this time. However, groups A through H are just a fraction of the actual number of strep groups—there aren’t even enough letters in the alphabet to classify the number of strep groups. 

Conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTIs) and bacterial vaginosis are also a result of streptococcus, but these issues are often blamed on an unspecified bacterial infection or yeast infection. For more on candida, read Medical Medium. Even if some doctors were aware that these conditions are strep-related, they’d most likely have trouble observing the strep. If strep has been in your system for an extended period of time, it can become nearly impossible to identify its existence in the body with the testing that’s available today.

Nowadays, one of the few instances in which doctors and practitioners look for strep is when a woman is pregnant or looking to become pregnant. Although doctors and practitioners can occasionally detect strep through a vaginal strep test, these tests aren’t foolproof. 

SIBO in the Body

Presently, many experts are suggesting that SIBO is often just an issue in a person’s intestinal tract, but this is not the case. The truth is, SIBO can be present in the body from the mouth all the way to the rectum. That means SIBO can be found in your stomach, duodenum, small intestinal tract, large intestinal tract, rectal area, and esophagus.

Many medical professionals wrongfully conclude that bacteria mostly proliferate in the intestinal tract. They think this because of the pervasive but inaccurate belief that there’s no hydrochloric acid in this area. They may be skeptical that bacteria is able to create chaos in the stomach, because that’s where they believe the hydrochloric acid is. The assumption is this acid would break down and kill any bacteria, including streptococcus. 

The Truth About Hydrochloric Acid 

Medical communities still believe hydrochloric acid is a single acidic solution. The truth is, hydrochloric acid is a complex blend of seven acids. (I brought this information to light in Medical Medium and cover it even more in Liver Rescue). 

A doctor may tell you that you have ample or strong hydrochloric acid based off test results, but these tests don’t consider all seven components in a hydrochloric acid blend, because medical communities don’t realize this blend exists. 

Medical research and medical science are most familiar with one element of the seven elements that make up the blend. Consequently, if that element, along with three of the other elements that constitute part of the blend, are sufficiently present, then a test might indicate that you have adequate or even abundant hydrochloric acid even if the other three elements are severely depleted or completely absent. When just two or three of the components in the blend are low, bacteria won’t die when it enters your stomach. And that opens you up to the symptoms associated with SIBO and other gut health issues. 

You may know that bacteria can move and travel throughout the body. But what people don’t know yet is that bacteria can travel from the intestinal tract back up into the stomach, creating problems. For this reason, it’s critical to build up your hydrochloric acid blend so you can heal from SIBO or protect yourself from other gut health issues.

Some people who are told that they have ample hydrochloric acid still suffer from stomach ulcers. In this case, it’s likely because one or more critical elements are no longer present in their hydrochloric acid blend. Bacteria, which creates these ulcers, can proliferate when powerful hydrochloric acid isn’t present to maintain harmony in the gut. Whether you have an ulcer or just wish to prevent one, building up hydrochloric acid is critical. 

Building Up Your Hydrochloric Acid 

Many doctors recommend using antibiotics to treat SIBO, but this practice can strengthen streptococcus that’s already in the system. Plus, antibiotics can only suppress symptoms for so long. Streptococcus can quickly grow immune to antibiotics, and the frequent use of antibiotics can lead to an aggressive, mutated form. Overuse of antibiotics has led to the emergence of a number of different varieties of streptococcus. 

Decades ago, there were just two groups of strep with a small number of strains connected to each. Unfortunately, these groups of strep have grown increasingly antibiotic-resistant, and now groups A and B have turned into groups A through Z and beyond. Furthermore, each of these groups contains offshoots of mutated strains. Antibiotic-resistant strains can linger in the system for years, causing acne, sinus problems, UTIs, pneumonia, and even appendicitis. 

Don’t worry if you’ve taken antibiotics in the past for strep-related issues. Antibiotics can be necessary in certain situations, but the goal is to continue strengthening your immune system and knocking down the bacterial load in your body so they can be minimized where possible.

One of the ways you can begin to knock down the strep in your system is by building up your hydrochloric acid. This will help kill off the bacteria in your stomach and any bacteria that might be trying to get into your stomach. Hydrochloric acid works not only in the stomach, but also deep in the duodenum and small intestinal tract (though this is unknown to medical communities). Some of the six of the seven blends of hydrochloric acid that have not yet been studied are in charge of working with your immune system to protect places other than the stomach, such as deep inside the small intestinal tract, where certain elements of the hydrochloric acid blend work to kill off bacteria. 

One simple and powerful way to build up hydrochloric acid in your body is to drink 16 oz of straight celery juice on an empty stomach each morning. The mineral salts in celery help restore any missing elements in the blend of seven acids that comprise your hydrochloric acid. Redesigning Your Immune System 

When you’re working to overcome strep, it’s also important to restructure your immune system. Doing so gives your system the ability to create new chemical compounds—ones that streptococcus isn’t immune to—that can destroy the bacteria and remove it from the body. 

Once you know that a SIBO diagnosis means your body is fighting off strep, you may be able to recall periods in the past where this very same bacterium caused other issues over the years: strep throat, swollen tonsils, sinus infections, cystic acne or UTIs. It allows you to attack the underlying cause with confidence and precision you would not otherwise have. 

In addition, understanding the truth—that streptococcus is behind SIBO—actually starts to break down the bacteria that’s wreaking havoc in your system. You may know that your thoughts affect your immune system, but this intensifies considerably once you know the exact culprit causing your symptoms. Fruit Fear 

People are often incorrectly advised to avoid fruit if they’re trying to rid their bodies of yeast, mold, and bacteria, or heal from symptoms and conditions such as Candida and SIBO. Some people don’t feel the best when they start consuming fruit. They may think that it has too much sugar or fruit is not healthy for them. The real reason they might not feel their best is because fruit is highly detoxifying and helps to rid our bodies of toxins. This can cause some temporary discomfort. Acids naturally found in fruit dissolve bacteria, including streptococcus. Ripe, speckled bananas are particularly powerful for someone with SIBO, because they can suffocate bacteria and draw it out of the body. Supportive Foods 

Bringing some simple herbs into your diet can help rid your body of SIBO and destroy the underlying streptococcus. Some particularly powerful herbs are rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, parsley, and cilantro. There are many ways to use them:

  • Sprinkle fresh herbs onto whatever cooked or raw dishes you whip up, including guacamole, hummus, salsa, or another kind of dip.
  • Sip thyme tea every day. 
  • Oregano, either fresh or in capsule form, is a tremendous weapon against SIBO. 
  • Juice parsley and combine it with a celery juice base (away from your plain celery juice in the morning). The mineral salts in parsley help knock down SIBO.
  • Eat cilantro, which draws heavy metals out of the body and helps destroy SIBO as well.

Things to Avoid

If you suffer from SIBO, it’s critical to avoid chocolate until you’ve cleared the strep out of your system and are fully healed. If you have SIBO but adore chocolate and don’t see yourself giving it up, reduce your intake until you heal, and choose a cleaner option without dairy or processed sugars.

If the path towards healing feels overwhelming, know that you can take it one step at a time and one change at a time. Shifting your diet and lifestyle choices can be a challenge, so it’s important to extend compassion to yourself as you move through these changes. Throughout this process, never forget this essential truth: your body loves you and desperately wants you to heal. It’s doing everything it can to make that happen. Acne Misconceptions and Blaming Hormones

There are two prevalent misconceptions surrounding acne. One is that the body is overproducing sebum and dead skin cells, which can lead to clogged pores. Certain medical professionals suggest that if bacteria from the skin’s surface gets into these clogged pores, these areas will grow infected and inflamed. This is inaccurate. Acne is not made up of the naturally occurring oils in your body, and these oils in no way lead to cystic acne.

The second major misconception is that hormones cause acne. Hormones seem like a likely culprit because acne tends to worsen during puberty and for many women during certain times in the menstrual cycle. Some women, who may not have even suffered from acne as a teenager, may begin to struggle with acne later in life around their menstruation each month.

Medical communities are unaware that during a woman's menstrual cycle, 80% of the immune system is redirected towards assisting the reproductive system. That means that only 20% of the immune system is left to support any other health issues your body may be working to heal. As a result, if you normally suffer from acne, migraine headaches, eczema, fatigue, aches and pains, brain fog, depression, joint pain, or any other symptom or condition during your cycle, it may reappear or worsen.

Next time pimples pop up during menstruation, recognize that it’s not your hormones. There’s another underlying cause that was already present, and the shift in the focus of your immune system is affecting the severity of your breakout.

Acne & Antibiotics

If you’ve suffered from cystic acne, it’s likely your doctor has recommended antibiotics. One reason may be that antibiotics have been recommended for virtually every health issue over the years. A second reason is that antibiotics, when they were first used to treat severe cystic acne decades ago, actually seemed to help the patients' skin. Doctor’s didn’t know why, they just knew antibiotics were linked with improvement.

When doctors stumbled upon this supposed cure, it ignited the trend of using antibiotics of all kinds to treat acne. The reason antibiotics seemed to help is that acne and cystic acne are related to streptococcus and are bacterial in nature. However, that doesn’t mean antibiotics are a true or lasting solution.

Streptococcus

Medical communities aren’t aware that streptococcus is the cause a number of health issues, including acne, UTIs, pneumonia, SIBO, yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, migraines, styes, and sinus problems. Even if you don’t have any other streptococcus-related symptoms and feel fairly healthy overall, you may still have chronic, low-grade streptococcus sitting in different areas of your lymphatic system stirring up acne.

If you suffered from strep throat as a child, it’s likely you’ll notice acne arise as a teenager or adult. It may not be a severe case, and it may only appear every so often depending on the severity of streptococcus in your system.

If you frequently suffered from bronchitis or pneumonia as a child, you may end up battling severe acne later in life as well. Other health issues as a child that may be a sign for acne later in life include tonsillitis and/or frequent styes. Medical science and research aren’t aware that streptococcus is the cause or a factor in any of the conditions.

When streptococcus is in your body it can move from the liver to your lymphatic system. Your body may be able to keep the streptococcus under control for the most part, but there might be times where the bacteria reaches the derma and works underneath it, which can lead to cystic acne. For this reason, if you continuously run yourself down by making unproductive food choices, leading a stressful lifestyle, and lacking self-care practices, your immune system will have a difficult time managing any chronic strep in the lymphatic system. Because of this, the streptococcus is more likely to push through to the surface of the derma.

Lymphatic channels are all over the body, and consequently acne may arise in a number of places. You may notice acne appear on your chest, shoulders, neck, face, head (top, back, sides, or crown), hairline, breasts, armpits, legs, groin, and/or underneath and around the butt. If you suffer from both acne and eczema, you may not only have strep, but a heavy viral load in your liver as well. (The true cause of eczema is a complete mystery to medical communities. It’s challenging to truly eliminate streptococcus bacteria. Lymphocytes, which play the biggest role in managing and lowering strep in the system, need a sufficient amount of zinc, other supplements, and supportive foods to best control and fight back against strep. Without proper fuel, the lymphocytes won’t be able to prevent streptococcus from reaching the derma. I include recommended supplements and dosages in Liver Rescue.

Doctors prescribe antibiotics for some of their patients who suffer from cystic acne. What these doctors don’t realize is that their patients’ cystic acne is due to antibiotic-resistant streptococcus building up and creating scar tissue underneath the derma. In these instances, the body creates pus-filled cysts above the derma in an attempt to fight against the bacteria while lymphocytes underneath the derma are trying to hunt down rogue streptococcus bacteria.

The Growth of Streptococcus

Decades ago, there were just two groups of streptococcus with a small number of strains connected to each. Antibiotics at the time were able to knock down these basic strains of streptococcus (and therefore, improve acne). Unfortunately, these groups of streptococcus have grown increasingly antibiotic resistant, and now groups A and B have turned into groups A through Z with a number of mutated strains offshooting from each group. (Research and science are aware of groups A through H at this time).

Although antibiotics were useful for cystic acne sufferers in the past, that isn’t always the case today. Sometimes antibiotics are necessary, but frequent overuse of antibiotics has led to numerous antibiotic-resistant streptococcus strains.

Streptococcus strains can be picked up on doorknobs, on toilet seats, in restaurants, and other public places.

If you’re using a public restroom, flush the toilet prior to using it, even if the water looks clean, and place paper on the seat as well.

Wipe your hands with handi-wipes after touching public surfaces or doorknobs.

Note that streptococcus can be passed through kissing and sexual contact as well.

This information is not meant to make you more fearful of things in this world. Rather, I hope it brings you a sense of empowered awareness. If you pick up a strain of streptococcus or are battling chronic streptococcus from childhood, know that you can build up your immune system, fight off this bacteria, clear acne (or any other condition caused by streptococcus), and move forward.

Supportive Steps

The reason antibiotics are unlikely to work is because once you ingest antibiotics, they usually sit in your liver and can feed low levels of streptococcus. This is true even if your cystic acne seems to improve for a period of time. If you want to truly heal acne and eliminate the underlying cause, your best option is using natural antibacterials (refer to Liver Rescue).

Healing Foods

Fortunately, there are many things you can do to naturally fight off streptococcus and start to heal acne:

  • Garlic is incredible for killing streptococcus.
  • Onion can kill streptococcus and H. pylori. (People with certain strains of streptococcus usually have H. pylori as well).
  • Greens such as mâche, spinach, kale, chard, butter leaf lettuce, red leaf lettuce, and green leaf lettuce help kill streptococcus over time.
  • Cherries and all berries contain antibacterial properties that help fight streptococcus.
  • Bananas are fantastic for combatting strep.
  • Wild blueberries breakdown streptococcus and heal other strep-related issues, including SIBO, UTIs, pneumonia, styes, migraines, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, and sinus problems.
  • Peppermint, oregano, thyme, sage, ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon are some herbs and spices with strong antibacterial properties.
  • Cucumbers.
  • Tomatoes.
  • Red bell peppers.
  • Winter squash.
  • Sweet potatoes and other tuberous roots.

The more fresh fruits and vegetables you eat, the more fuel you’ll have to lower the levels of streptococcus in your liver and lymphatic system. Help make this dietary shift by lowering your intake of meat and animal foods if you eat them and lowering your intake of grains, seeds, and nuts if you’re a vegetarian or vegan. Foods To Avoid

Some foods fight against streptococcus, but others actually feed the bacteria. Here are a few of the most important foods to avoid while healing cystic acne:

Eggs: Eggs feed all different bugs, including streptococcus. This is the number one food to avoid if you’re battling strep. Streptococcus loves eating eggs. Also, when you eat eggs, your lymphatic system fills with mucus and is forced to try and clear this mucus out. If you put raw egg in a petri dish with any strain of streptococcus and observe it under a microscope, you’ll see a feeding frenzy take place.

Gluten: Gluten also feeds streptococcus.

Dairy Products: If you have streptococcus in your system, avoiding dairy products such as cow’s milk, goat’s milk, cheese, butter, ghee, kefir, and yogurt for an extended period of time can be highly beneficial and even essential. You have to eliminate these foods for a lengthy period of time because streptococcus can take a while to clear out of the system. If you’ve eaten dairy products up until now, it’s likely you have deposits of dairy products in your liver and other parts of your body. The streptococcus will eventually look for old deposits of dairy products that can be found in crevices of the intestinal tract and elsewhere in the body. But over time you can clear out these old, damaging deposits.

Canola Oil: It feeds streptococcus, and it’s highly inflammatory.

Corn Products: Corn feeds streptococcus in your system. Avoid corn and corn products.

It usually takes some time for acne to completely clear, but have patience and know you’re fighting off the true underlying cause.

Historically, people who lived in northern climates became extremely deficient in vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium during the winter.   • 6 oranges, any variety
  • 1/4 cup sliced green olives
