Swelling of your hands and feet happens for two reasons: (1) a histamine variety of edema, in which the body is reacting to EBV’s neurotoxins with elevated histamines that flood the lymphatic system and the bloodstream, and/or (2) liver and lymphatic sluggishness due to being overburdened with viral waste matter and other toxins, such as heavy metals. It’s very common for someone in this situation to receive a diagnosis of idiopathic (unknown cause) lupus or even Lyme disease.
