Juicy, ripe heirloom tomatoes that have that sublime balance of sweet and salty are a delicacy all on their own. Put them into this fresh Mediterranean Tomato Salad, and you will be reveling in summertime bliss.
Tomatoes revitalize the kidneys, liver, and spleen and strengthen the immune system. Tomatoes also help to push back viral growth, which means viruses have a difficult time proliferating. When viruses are stifled by antiviral phytochemical compounds in tomatoes, then thyroid hormones can level out.
