If you suffer with insomnia or sleep issues, you’ll know how debilitating it can be. Poor sleep over and over again can make you feel like you’re going to mentally and physically breakdown. You may even question how you will get through each day. I truly understand how hard it is to live with sleep issues. Even if you wouldn’t list insomnia or sleep disturbance as one of your chronic issues, learning how to harness sleep so it can be the most healing it can be is a critical part of looking after your health now and in the future. Thankfully, there are answers for you. You can heal and sleep soundly again.
If you look to conventional medicine with questions about your insomnia or other sleep issues, you may be told a number of possible reasons for why you can’t sleep. And some of them may carry some truth. Your doctor or health practitioner may say the cause of your sleep problems are grief, anger, anxiety, depression, worry, restless legs, or chronic pain or you may be told you have sleep apnea. All of these things can be a part of the challenges you are having. But there’s much more to understand. For example, what is truly the reason behind your restless legs, depression, anxiety, and aches and pains.
In the following article I will explain the truth behind chronic and mysterious sleep conditions. In my book Thyroid Healing, I have an entire section dedicated to this important topic because it’s so critical you and your loved ones get the answers and support you need so you can get the deep, healing sleep you deserve.
Mystery Sleep Conditions
When your anxiety and depression are not connected to your circumstances, it can be frustrating not to know or understand their causes. In addition, when you are having sleep issues and you cannot connect it to anything at all, it can be even more disheartening. Lying awake with no answers can create even more anxiety and make falling or staying asleep all the more elusive. At times, someone who is having sleep issues will get an answer from an expert, which will temporarily relieve the person from the confusion. Perhaps that person will even be able to sleep for a week or more because their sleep challenges feel like less of a riddle. However, many times the answers we get from conventional medicine and alternative health communities are not the right answers, and therefore don’t offer a true solution for healing. In many cases, the misinformation we may receive from well-meaning health practitioners may actually lead us further astray or result in even more struggle and confusion. The inability to sleep is still one of the greatest mysteries to modern medicine today.
For example, many people with sleep problems are told that they are having trouble with their thyroid, and that is what is keeping them awake. The truth is that a thyroid problem is not going to keep you from sleeping. But you can lose sleep if you’re worried about having a thyroid problem. Many people lose sleep when they first get their diagnosis of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, or hyperthyroidism because they’re told their body is attacking its own thyroid. But this is a great mistake by medical communities. Your body never attacks itself. It loves you unconditionally and is always working for you. I address this mistaken theory in detail in Thyroid Healing. Someone also may not sleep if they’re worried about having thyroid surgery. But your thyroid itself is never going to create insomnia. It’s not possible. Unfortunately, it is very common for people to be told their sleep disorder is because of their thyroid. This new, recent blame game on the thyroid is so prevalent right now that I address it extensively in Thyroid Healing, along with the true causes of insomnia and other sleep disorders. My goal is to cut through the misinformation and confusion which is preventing people from having the health and sleep they desire and bring the real truth to you. You deserve to know what’s really happening in your body.
Different Kinds of Sleep Disorders
It is critical to understand our sleep disorders and exactly what is happening in the body so we can begin to take steps toward healing. We have to locate the target before we can go after it. It’s almost impossible to effectively and fully heal a symptom or condition without understanding it. Even if you have healed a symptom or condition before without knowing it’s true cause, it’s possible it could come back later in life or the unknown root cause could be creating another symptom that you are unaware is actually related. This is why the answers to our health problems we receive from science and research are so lacking—they don’t know the true causes of chronic mystery illnesses like insomnia and other sleep disorders in most cases, so how could they know the correct treatment?
Everyone experiences sleep problems in vastly different ways. Read the following descriptions and take note if one or more of them apply to you.
1. You cannot fall asleep at first, then eventually you fall asleep after several hours. When you wake up in the morning, you do not feel well rested because you could not fall asleep right away.
2. You fall asleep right away, but you wake up in the very early morning unable to fall back asleep before it is time to get up. You get a racing mind as the sun starts to rise and anxiety because you are unable to fall asleep.
3. You initially fall asleep easily, but then you wake up in the middle of the night unable to fall back to sleep until the early morning when you fall asleep again.
4. You are in and out of a miserable sleep all night long because you never fall into a solid restful state. You keep getting the frequent urge to urinate, which gets you out of bed over and over.
5. You cannot sleep the entire night, and when morning comes, you feel completely exhausted and crash at various times throughout the day. You may or may not attempt a quick nap here and there. Then when it is time for bed, the whole thing starts over again.
6. All throughout the day you are exhausted and you struggle with all your tasks, and all you can think about is the next chance you get to lie down and close your eyes. All you want to do is go to bed. When nighttime hits, you are suddenly awake and it is difficult to wind down enough to get to sleep on time.
7. You are able to fall asleep and stay asleep for a full night, only you wake up feeling like you need another eight hours. Maybe your loved ones report that you snore or you have very shallow breathing throughout the night; they say you woke yourself up snoring, which makes you come to understand that your sleep is broken all night.
8. Just as you sink into deep sleep, a jerk happens. Either your arm, neck, head, or leg jerks and it wakes you up again. Sometimes you can bypass it and you can fall asleep. Or you wake up in the middle of the night to urinate and then you go back to bed and can’t fall asleep because the jerking occurs once again.
9. You are tired and ready to go to sleep, except there is a weird buzzing sound or another symptom keeping you awake. This can be either tinnitus, restless leg syndrome, itchy skin problems, or aches and pains.
The Potential Causes of Sleep Disorders
While many experts today will lump most of these sleep disorders under thyroid problems, this is a trendy trap that you need to be aware of so you don’t fall prey to it and start addressing an issue that isn’t even the cause. Sleep issues have nothing to do with the thyroid. Below I will explain the true reasons for insomnia and other sleep issues that medical science and research are unaware of. No two causes of sleep problems are the same, just as no two sleep disorders themselves are the same. While people’s sleep issues may be very similar to each other, they will never be identical. Keep this in mind as you learn about your own insomnia or other sleep challenges.
One possible cause stems from a liver that’s overheated, stagnant, or sluggish from toxins and a diet too high in fat or processed foods. The best way to have a full understanding of your liver and how to support it is to read Liver Rescue. The liver could also be inflamed because it is trying to fight one or more pathogens (viruses and bacteria) that have nested in the liver for many years, even decades, and they are releasing neurotoxins and dermatoxins. Research and science have not yet discovered that pathogens releasing these toxins are the cause of many symptoms and illnesses.
When you go to sleep for the night, your liver shuts down operation and runs on autopilot. By around three or four in the morning (it’s different for everyone), your liver starts to wake up again and once more begins to process poisons, viruses, and debris (such as dead cells, including dead red blood cells.). If you have a sluggish liver, then as the liver tries to do its job at this time, it goes into subtle spasm. Most of the time, it’s not anything you can feel, but for some people it’s enough to wake them up. This accounts for those nights when you fall asleep normally, then suddenly you’re up again in the early morning hours, and after a certain period of time, you’re able to nod off again. This can also explain those miserable nights of sleep where you drift in and out the whole time.
Sleep issues caused by something going on in the liver tend to be present in someone dealing with a thyroid issue, not because the thyroid is causing the problem but because thyroid issues are also caused by EBV. This is something I discuss at length in my book, Thyroid Healing.
Viral issues are one of the major causes of trouble with sleep. The Epstein-Barr virus, shingles, cytomegalovirus, HHV-6, and even some bacteria can poison our systems and keep us up at night. That’s because viruses such as Epstein-Barr excrete neurotoxins, which can create the issues of not being able to fall asleep for hours, or waking in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep. Viral-caused insomnia is often mistaken for a thyroid issue, because, as I said, it’s common to experience insomnia and thyroid trouble side by side. It’s not because an under or overactive thyroid causes sleep issues, despite what you may hear from other sources.
MSG and Toxic Heavy Metals in the Brain
If someone has MSG or toxic heavy metal deposits speckled throughout the brain, which is extremely common, these alone can keep a person from getting quality sleep. Mercury deposits are what cause OCD, Tourette’s, anxiety, depression, and much more, which, when coupled with a pathogen like Epstein-Barr Virus, can only make things worse because the virus is feeding off of the mercury and releasing more poisons, such as neurotoxins. Medical communities are unaware of just how prolific this virus is and the hundreds of symptoms and conditions it causes. I share the reasons why research and science have missed just how much EBV is responsible for in Thyroid Healing. They are also unaware that viruses feed off toxins like mercury, which allows them to strengthen and thrive and create further issues.
Digestive Tract Issues
Some people have digestive sensitivities, which are actually connected to the nervous system because nerves are attached to every part of the colon. As food moves through the intestines, it hits those sensitive nerves throughout the night. Sometimes it is so subtle it is barely noticeable but it can be enough to disrupt your sleep. Even if there is no pain or gas in your gut, these digestive tract sensitivities may be related to your sleep disorder and you simply are not aware of it.
Sleep apnea can occur if you have a sinus problem or a post nasal drip. It can also occur if you are overweight and lying down, which may put pressure on the chest and throat, prevents proper breathing from taking place during sleep. The third kind of sleep apnea is a mystery to modern medicine. In this case, it is a neurological sleep apnea where the brain is sending out incorrect messages to the vagus and phrenic nerves using electrical impulses and neurotransmitters that are being weakened or interrupted by toxic heavy metals or viral neurotoxins.
Another potential cause for sleep issues occurs because of a high stress lifestyle that pumps adrenaline into your bloodstream all day. Adrenaline keeps you up until very late and then by the time you wake up in the morning you are exhausted.
These are just some of the reasons why your sleep may be suffering. Other possible causes I address in detail in Thyroid Healing include anxiety, which is not as self-explanatory as you may think, emotional wounds, and other neurological issues.
Your Very Own Sleep Account
There is a common belief floating around that once you miss an hour of sleep, that sleep is gone and you can never make it up. You can never get it back. This is false. The truth is that we have a divine sleep account that is owed to us from the minute we are born. Every time you miss a minute, hour, day, or week of sleep, that time is automatically put into your sleep account to save for a later date. All is not lost. Those three hours of sleep you lost the night before are not gone forever. They are waiting for you in your very own sleep account, controlled and maintained by the Angels, and you will get them back some day. It is a misguided belief that you cannot catch up on sleep or gain your sleep back. Once you’re able to target your sleep issue and begin to heal by restoring your liver, detoxing the MSG and heavy metals, mending your digestive tract, healing your adrenals, or eliminating EBV, get ready. Because your sleep account is waiting for you and you are going to enjoy plenty of restorative, healing sleep. It’s your divine right and one of the unknown universal laws.
Foods for Sleep
There is so much we can do to heal viruses, work on our digestive and liver problems, and detox from heavy metals, MSG, and other toxins that could be contributing to your sleep issues. I go into further depth on what’s behind your sleep issues, how you can heal from them, why bad dreams are good, which foods and supplements are the most helpful for healing, and so much more in Thyroid Healing.
The Sacred Sleep Window
Sleep is so important for healing and yet it can be impossible to sleep when you have any of these issues. It can seem like a catch 22. That’s why it’s so critical to know about the Sacred Sleep Window. Between 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. your body does most of its healing. If you are able to sleep during that period, your body is healing at an accelerated rate. Even if you only catch 10 minutes, those 10 minutes will be potent. The restoration your body performs in that snippet of time will power you through on your path to healing. If you’re not able to sleep during this window, even lying down with your eyes closed will allow your body to continue healing. This is because even if you are still conscious, part of your brain is asleep. If you work night shifts or just have a lot of difficulty lying down in this window, you can nap or lie down with your eyes closed between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This four hour daytime window is the equivalent of the 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. for healing.
Angel of Sleep
The Angel of Sleep is always there for you if you need her. Whenever you’re seeking guidance or comfort, speak her name aloud and ask for her help. She’ll aid you in your path to a better night’s sleep, whether because of a health issue or an emotional trial. The Angel of Sleep will watch over you as you travel to the land of the subconscious.
I know how frustrating and debilitating sleep problems can be. We tend to beat ourselves up when we are unable to get restful sleep, and it is very easy to blame ourselves. Stay light-hearted and know that the answers are now here for you. The information here and in Thyroid Healing is here to help you move forward and finally get the sleep waiting for you.
It can take time to resolve a sleep issue. It will take time for your body to cleanse itself of toxins, heal, and rebuild, so in the meantime, remind yourself of the laws of sleep: that your sleep account is waiting for you no matter what and that you deserve healing sleep. Bell’s palsy is a relatively common condition that can show up in a myriad of ways. The face may droop in the eye, nose, or mouth area. It may droop on one side or on both sides. It can last only temporarily or for many years. At times it is very painful; other times there is no feeling at all. Sometimes Bell’s palsy affects more than just the face leaving doctors baffled. Oftentimes, when this happens, the person with the condition will be misdiagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Unfortunately, these labels are just names that have been given to a set of symptoms that are still a mystery to medical communities.
The true cause of both Bell’s palsy and MS are not known by medical science and research, and consequently, they do not know how to effectively address these health problems either. I was the first person to point out that Bell’s Palsy is a viral issue; in particular, Bell’s palsy is caused by a specific undiscovered strain of the shingles virus. Medical communities are not yet aware of this truth. If you or a loved one have suffered with or are currently suffering with Bell’s palsy, you now have the answer to what causes this condition and the information I am sharing with you here can help you take steps toward recovery or preventing further health problems caused by the same virus.
The Shingles Virus
In medical research and science, only one variety of the shingles virus is known. If someone contracts a rash that is red and painful and it’s considered a textbook shingles rash, this is very easily diagnosed. However, there are 31 undiscovered varieties of shingles that I’ve brought to light (see my book Medical Medium for more information) and sometimes the virus does not manifest itself as a rash at all. Or someone may have a variety that develops a rash but they may also have other mystery symptoms that medical communities aren’t aware are caused by the shingles virus also. In some cases, the virus won’t result in a rash, but will show itself as Bell’s palsy. It’s also possible in a small amount of cases that someone with Bell’s Palsy will also experience a shingles rash, but in the majority of cases no rash will be present.
The variety of the shingles virus that causes Bell’s palsy probably will not be discovered for another 30 to 40 years. And if the current trend of medicine and research focusing only on genes continues, then the cause of Bell’s Palsy may never be discovered—ever.This, plus the fact that shingles is still only identified by it’s signature rash in medical communities, is why patients do not hear about shingles when they visit their doctor or health practitioner with Bell’s palsy and many other symptoms. This particular variety of the virus tends to attack the trigeminal nerve or facial nerves, which are the nerves responsible for sensation in the face and motor functions such as biting and chewing, and the droopiness known as Bell’s palsy is not the only thing that the virus may cause.
Because the virus doesn't always hit its mark, it can also affect the gums, teeth, and mouth, and even cause pain in the ear. The virus often hits different parts of nerves or misses the nerves to the face altogether. Many people go to the dentist to find a solution to their mouth pain, which resulted in pulling out teeth, only to find the pain did not improve and the teeth did not need to removed at all. This is a classic example of how the shingles virus could be to blame. These days, dentists are being a bit more cautious when patients come in with gum, teeth, and mouth pain because they have learned from their past mistakes of disrupting the teeth when it was unnecessary.
When this variety of the shingles virus hits the nerves just right, it causes Bell’s palsy. These nerves are connected to the brain and there are so many of them that are very close together. When one nerve is affected, it can affect the ones neighboring it causing additional symptoms that can even resemble a stroke.
Healing From Bell’s Palsy
Below are some steps you can take not only to recover from Bell’s palsy, but also to prevent it from happening in the first place. Sometimes if you have Bell’s palsy once, it may come again because the virus in still active in a person’s system. It’s helpful to take these steps even if you aren’t experiencing Bell’s Palsy right now for this reason.
In addition, the shingles virus that causes Bell’s Palsy can cause many other symptoms and conditions if the virus is left unaddressed so if you are a loved one have had Bell’s Palsy or any of the symptoms and conditions listed below, it would be helpful to make the adjustments to your diet and supplements that I share in this article. Other symptoms shingles can cause include different kinds of rashes, neurological symptoms like twitching, tingling, burning, spasms, chronic migraines, and headaches, frozen shoulder, diabetic nerve pain, colitis, vaginal burning, TMJ, joint pain, muscle pain, neck pain, sciatic pain, sharp nerve pain, burning nerve pain, heart palpitations, and more. Medical communities are completely unaware that these symptoms are a result of one or more of the many varieties of the shingles virus.
To heal from shingles, there are certain foods that need to be avoided along with certain foods and supplements that help to inhibit and destroy the virus. Let’s look at some of these now. FOODS TO AVOID
Eggs are one of the most important foods to avoid because they are fuel for viruses. When you eat eggs, you are giving the shingles virus fuel to continue proliferating. Medical research is not yet aware that viruses eat, so you might hear health practitioners claim that viruses do not eat anything at all. This is a misconception and another classic medical blunder. Many trendy doctor diets of today tell you to avoid a potato, which is actually helpful for killing a shingles virus. Meanwhile they will recommend eating lots of eggs, which will actually feed the virus along with many other viruses responsible for so many different illnesses and symptoms. The truth is that eggs are the number one food that viruses feed on. If you want to heal Bell’s palsy, it would be helpful to stay away from eggs altogether.
Dairy and pork are other foods to stay away from, mainly because of their high fat content. I know high fat diets are popular these days, but this is detrimental to anyone with Bell’s palsy. When your diet is too fatty, the blood thickens and does not allow oxygen to get to the nerves. A fatty diet also inhibits the immune system from doing its job to fight the virus that's attacking the nerves. It’s helpful to lower your fat intake whether you eat a plant based diet or you include animal foods daily. If you eat a vegan diet, reducing the amount of oils, nuts, seeds, coconut and avocado you eat is important. And if you eat animal protein, try to limit it to once a day or a few times a week and choose the highest quality lean protein sources you can. I know chicken is generally considered to be a lean meat, however chicken is best limited because it’s too high in fat for someone who is trying to fight Bell’s palsy. If you live in a place where eating animal foods is your only option, try to decrease the size of your meat portions and increase your vegetable intake along with bringing in any fruits you can throughout the day. Since fruit is unfairly feared more than ever before today, a topic I address in my Fruit Fear chapter of my book Medical Medium, hearing this may go against a trendy diet belief system that you have adopted. If this is the case, please understand that it’s what will kill off the virus—the cause of Bell’s palsy—and help you to recover your health that matters. When you know the true cause of your symptoms and conditions, your diet should then be adjusted to address it, regardless of what kind of diet belief system you subscribe to.

FOODS TO INCLUDE
The good news is you have a lot of secret antiviral weapons in foods that will help you heal from and prevent Bell’s palsy. Fruit is the first food to focus on. Any fruit you eat will help fight the shingles virus because the phytochemicals in fruit are antiviral. Potatoes are another secret weapon to include in your diet. Potatoes are loaded with an extremely potent bioactive L-lysine that inhibits and reduces viral activity. It’s also helpful to include plenty of leafy greens like red leaf lettuce and romaine daily. Eat a cucumber and tomato salad with cilantro, parsley, sage, and rosemary. Yes, tomato. You should not be afraid of a fresh tomato no matter what you hear out there. If you believe that tomatoes are not healthy for you, you’re being misled. Garlic and onion are perfect antivirals to defend you against the shingles virus, as are cumin and turmeric. Drinking fresh pure celery juice is a great way to send healthy mineral salts to your nerve endings. Red clover blossom tea is a great tea to include because of its potent antiviral properties. It’s also important to remove the heavy metals from your body and brain when you have Bell’s palsy. The shingles virus, and all viruses, feed on heavy metals like copper, mercury, aluminum, lead, nickel, steel, and more. By reducing the amount of heavy metals in your body, the shingles virus will have less fuel to proliferate and cause symptoms like Bell’s palsy and others. Check out my recipe for a Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie. In this recipe, there are five specific foods meant to draw out heavy metals from the body. These foods are Spirulina, Barley Grass Juice Extract, Atlantic dulse, wild blueberries, and cilantro. Include these five foods within a 24 hour period of each other to safely and properly remove heavy metals from your body. This is the most effective heavy metal detox protocol that exists. While we are discussing heavy metals, I want to share an important truth about mercury fillings. Many people want to get their mercury amalgams removed, but you should know that if you get all your mercury fillings removed at once this could be dangerous because it will release mercury into your bloodstream that wasn’t causing a problem before. The shingles virus will then have a feeding frenzy on mercury and cause more issues. This could result in Bell’s palsy developing. If you are determined to take out your mercury fillings because one is broken or falling apart, be careful to take them out one at a time with many months or more between between each removal. This is the safest way to go about doing this. You can read more about this in Medical Medium.
SUPPLEMENTS TO HEAL BELL’S PALSY

L-lysine impairs the ability of shingles virus cells to move and reproduce.

Licorice root tea and tincture are very effective at impairing the ability of
virus cells to move and reproduce.
Lemon balm kills off and repels viruses.
Curcumin reduces nerve swelling caused by shingles neurotoxins.
Elderberry syrup strengthens the immune system.
Monolaurin kills viruses.
B12 with adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin repairs and strengthens the areas
of the nervous system that have been damaged by the virus.
Goldenseal strengthens the immune system.
Hawaiian Spirulina supports the health of the central nervous system and is critically important for removing heavy metals that viruses feed on.
Barley Grass Juice Extract Powder is also critical for heavy metal removal alongside spirulina which helps prevent viruses like shingles from proliferating.
Hyssop tea is a potent anti-bacterial herb that helps to combat the bacteria that typically companies shingles.
Thyme tea is a powerful antiviral tonic that is essential for shingles.

Immune Systems and Deficiencies
When thinking about children’s health, we need to consider two things. First, it is important to strengthen your child’s immune system so that it is ready to react appropriately when your child is exposed to a bug or toxin. Second, start working on eliminating deficiencies in your child’s diet. The health problems we have as adults partly stem from deficiencies we experienced in childhood, so it is important to work on these immediately to stave off any chronic illnesses that may crop up in the future.
Common Health Problems in Children
Why is it important to work on building up the immune system and eliminating deficiencies? There are so many common health problems children experience that make life harder for the child and the parents. Not only is it scary for families to go through illnesses, but it is not enjoyable to be at the doctor’s office every single week because of symptoms and illnesses that can be avoided. Many children experience ear infections, which are caused by the bacteria streptococcus as well as by certain viruses. Children pick up colds, flus, and fevers all year long, and they might get bronchitis, pneumonia, or sinus infections. It is also common for children to get mystery swollen glands and a fever which are very early signs of mono. Doctors try to avoid diagnosing younger children with mono because of training they receive in medical school that prohibits this. If the truth that children may have an Epstein-Barr virus infection very early on becomes known, there will be much greater awareness of the virus and it will need to become a focus of research and funding, which requires millions of dollars. This is the reason it’s prohibited. It's not the doctors’ faults. It has nothing to do with them. Even blood labs aren’t responsive to early EBV testing in children, toddlers and even babies for this very reason. This might sound controversial but it’s the truth. Another common ailment is tonsillitis. Medical research is still unaware of the true cause of tonsillitis. Medical science and research aren’t aware that the true cause is a form of EBV when it is in the tonsils, along with EBV’s cofactor—the bacteria streptococcus—and this can be healed by working on lowering your viral and bacterial load with the information I share in my books, radio shows, and articles. Other common health problems in children include issues that stem from liver stagnancies, like eczema, psoriasis, constipation, food allergies, and sleep issues. It’s possible to have a stagnant liver even as a child because our parents can pass down toxins, viruses, bacteria, radiation and more at conception and throughout pregnancy (and at any time in our youth or adulthood,) and they can affect the liver of a child even before birth. These ailments caused by a sluggish liver are often labeled as autoimmune diseases, when actually they can be healed by bringing in some foods to build up the child’s immune system. There are so many things out of our control when it comes to getting pregnant, having a healthy pregnancy and the health of our babies. Medical science and research don't have all the answers. Some women are told they can never get pregnant, then they do. These are miracles given to us by the divine and Angelic forces, who are always working with mothers and babies to support their health and development. Others, sadly, are unable to conceive and have no clear reason why. Fortunately, there's much women can do to support their health so that they can conceive, have a healthy pregnancy, and give birth to a healthy baby. In this article and the accompanying radio show I share with you some of the most important aspects of having a healthy conception and pregnancy.
What to Avoid When Pregnant
We are all aware of the the common things to avoid when pregnant, such as smoking and alcohol. But there are some other important things to keep in mind that may not be as obvious.
If you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, buy organic foods when you can. If you aren’t able to buy organic, I understand, that’s ok, just do what you can. If it comes down to buying some fruits and vegetables organic and others conventional, it’s best to buy foods with thick skins that can be removed for your conventional produce, like bananas, mangoes, melons, and avocados. When possible, try to get leafy greens, celery, cucumbers, apples, berries, and potatoes organic.
More importantly, however, is to avoid pesticides that are being sprayed in public places and even in your own home. At public parks and other places with big lawns like golf courses, trucks come on a regular basis to spray pesticides over all the grass and plants. Try to avoid exposure to these chemicals as much as possible when pregnant because these pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are not good for the baby’s development. They are also dangerous for young children and anyone who is around the sprays.
You can call the department that oversees the park and ask which days they spray, then avoid the park on those days. The same goes for any other big lawn you are visiting, like a golf course. Even if they say the lawn on the other side of the park is being sprayed that day, the wind can still carry the harmful chemicals to where you are. By calling ahead and avoiding the days that they spray, you will be protecting your baby’s health and your own health.
In your own home when you are pregnant or looking to conceive, avoid spraying pesticides at all costs. Even if there are bugs in your home, find another way to escort the bugs out of the house rather than automatically reaching for the spray. Try to avoid spraying outside of your home, as well, as this still puts your baby’s health at risk. If you live in a community like an apartment complex or condominium community, ask your landlord not to allow pesticides to be sprayed around your unit. People are typically open to accommodating pregnant women when it comes to protecting their baby’s health.
As a man, I’ve never been and never will be pregnant myself, but I understand that pregnancy food aversions are real and very challenging, especially in the first trimester. One thing I suggest avoiding, however, is chocolate in all forms, even the so-called healthy raw cacao. Cacao is too much of a stimulant for developing babies and it is not a health food when you are pregnant. While chocolate is not healthy, it can be a helpful tool in very specific circumstances, such as when overcoming a smoking addiction. You can learn more about that in my Addictions radio show and blog post. Chocolate is filled with alkaloids, which are toxic to the baby in the womb. That is why it’s helpful to keep all forms of chocolate out of the diet when you are pregnant or trying to conceive.
Sensitivities During Pregnancy
Although there are women who feel strong and healthy during pregnancy, it’s really a small fraction of women compared to the very large percentage of women who have pre-existing underlying health problems that show up or worsen when they are pregnant or after the birth of their baby. These women may have underlying conditions that aren’t yet causing too many symptoms, but then they get pregnant and suddenly they experience a lot of symptoms. For example, some conditions women deal with during pregnancy are preeclampsia, severe fatigue, gestational diabetes, eczema, depression, hair loss, aches and pains, anxiety, migraines, insomnia, thyroid problems, and more. In these cases, there was likely a low-grade viral issue that was already present and pregnancy triggered it into worsening.
What’s happening is the mother’s reserves go into the womb to protect the baby, leaving her more vulnerable to feeling existing health problems or sickness. This is very similar to why symptoms appear or worsen for women during menstruation. Eighty percent of a woman’s immune system is going into her reproductive cycle every month. And when you’re pregnant, you’re using that 80% almost all the time. My advice to is build up your immune system reserves before you get pregnant. Your immune system should be as strong as possible so that you can be in good health for your baby when you conceive. I realize it doesn’t always work this way and you may not have been expecting to become pregnant. If you are not able to work on your health before you conceive, you will still have every opportunity to support your health and your baby’s health during pregnancy and after delivery. You can do this by eating better and doing all the other things for your immunity that we talk about here and in my books.
Don’t let these things keep you in fear about getting pregnant or having babies. Rather, prepare and be mindful so you can do your best to prevent possible problems. For example, preeclampsia is caused by an underlying viral condition, a truth that is unknown to medical science and research. And rashes and fatigue occur after pregnancies because of viral conditions, as well. This is why focusing on strengthening your immune system and lowering your viral load would be helpful before conceiving.
Difficulty Getting Pregnant
Medical communities are now in the habit of blaming pregnancy issues on the thyroid, but we have to know and remember this truth: there is another underlying issue affecting the health of pregnant women, and it’s not their thyroid. As I share in my book, Life-Changing Foods, the Epstein-Barr virus is often what is keeping women from getting pregnant. I know many women who weren’t able to get pregnant but after working with the information I have shared to lower their Epstein-Barr viral load, they were soon able to become pregnant. There is so much misinformation around thyroid health today that is leading women to believe their thyroid can prevent them from becoming pregnant. This just isn’t true and this new trend isn’t helping women to truly understand their bodies or even their thyroid. You and your loved ones need to know the truth about what’s really happening with your thyroid, and that’s what I share in my book, Thyroid Healing.
Some women are unable to get pregnant and it’s a mystery because the reproductive system seems to be in working order with no obvious problems found by their doctor. The family’s doctor may do tests and conclude that everything should be normal for both the man and the woman. What could really be happening is that the woman has a viral issue that is preventing her from becoming pregnant. However, if it’s not a viral issue at all, it could simply be a matter of retraining the reproductive system.
Birth control, the pill, is not just a hormonal pill. It’s a mindset. It’s like a mantra that a woman who doesn’t want to get pregnant says over and over in her head, even if she doesn’t realize it. “I don’t want to get pregnant. God forbid if I ever get pregnant. I hope I’m not pregnant. It’s not a good time in my life right now to get pregnant.” These are just a few examples of the mantras that are common. There are endless possible mantras because of complicated relationships and situations. Someone could be in a relationship that they don’t feel is ready for a child to be brought into or they may feel they need to focus primarily on their career for a while longer before having a baby. Women who are not ready to have children have these mantras on repeat, even if it’s in the back of their minds nestled in there on autopilot. Their partner may also have it on repeat. This trains the reproductive system to be underactive, meaning it's running on low battery. Women are mentally telling their reproductive systems month after month and year after year to never get pregnant.
Then suddenly one day, a woman is ready to conceive but her reproductive system has been trained to be switched off for so long that it needs some time to charge up. A woman ready to conceive must now focus on firing her reproductive system back up and changing her program. You can create a new mantra to tell yourself such as, “It’s time to get pregnant.” Drinking plenty of raspberry leaf tea every single day, even six to eight cups a day, can also be extremely helpful for a woman who wants to get her reproductive system in the best shape possible for conception.
It’s also very helpful to take long walks and tell your reproductive system, “I’m sorry I told you not to get pregnant. But now it’s time and I need you. It’s time to get on board.” You need to reboot your ovaries and uterus; turn it all back on. You can even try this exercise: When you go to bed at night, pretend you’re plugging a wire into your reproductive system and charging it up, in the same way you charge your phone at night. Every night, put your hand on your reproductive system for half an hour and visualize light filling the area. Ask the Angel of Fertility out loud to put light into your womb. If you’ve been telling your body not to get pregnant over and over, even if it’s been for over a decade or more for many women, there’s hope to turn it around. You can tell your reproductive system to charge back up and get on board. You can tell it you’re ready now. I’ve watched women become pregnant from doing this exercise I shared with them countless times over the decades, especially when they also address any underlying health issues that may be contributing to difficulty conceiving, such as viral issues.
Foods That Improve Breast Milk
In order to understand the foods that aid in breast milk supply, we must first understand the makeup of breast milk itself. Breast milk is mostly sugar and on average it only has 1 to 1.5% protein. Some healthy women have breast milk that contains an even lower percentage of protein at 0.75% while others have up to 2.5% protein. Every woman’s body is different. It’s very low in fat and very high in carbohydrates. This is critical to understand because unfortunately women are often afraid of eating a piece of fruit because of what they’ve been told by well-meaning but misguided health professionals.
The reason breast milk is so high in sugar is for the baby’s development and growth. Surprised? Yes, baby’s development and growth. The glucose needs to be very high in order to develop the brain of the baby. The baby needs more carbohydrates than anything else in order to grow and develop properly.
The reason I’m so passionate about sharing this information is that mothers are sadly given the wrong information every day. Women are told to eat more protein and more fat, but too much protein and fat will actually decrease your supply of breast milk. High protein, low carb diets are actually bad for breast milk production and bad for babies. I can’t tell you how many mothers I have worked with who had a very low breast milk supply and they got their milk back by eating potatoes. If you don’t eat enough carbohydrates while pregnant, the baby won't be getting what the baby truly needs.
It is essential to focus on the good carbohydrates while pregnant and breastfeeding. Focus on potatoes, especially non-sweet potatoes, like russet and yukon gold. If you are going to eat grains, enjoy the highest quality grains like millet and quinoa. If you’re going to eat animal protein, don’t let it completely dominate the diet. Try to make room for other healthy options, such as important healthy carbohydrates. Don’t let it stop you from eating lots of fruit and potatoes. Some women are very lucky and don’t have problems with their breast milk supply even if they eat a very unhealthy diet that’s low in carbohydrates. This is because they already have a strong storage of glucose in their liver, but this is becoming less and less common. It’s helpful to read Liver Rescue to better understand how you can support your body, your breast milk supply and your baby.
Try not to be afraid of fruit. I highly recommend reading the chapter in my book, Medical Medium, titled Fruit Fear if you’re concerned about the sugar in fruit. It’s important to know that gestational diabetes does not occur from eating fruit or potatoes. It occurs from putting cheese on that potato or from eating ice cream, which is a bad fat and bad sugar combined. I also explain how the combination of too much sugar and fat in one meal or snack can lead to insulin resistance and diabetes in my book, Medical Medium.
The True Cause of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Medical science and research are unaware that the true cause of PCOS is an Epstein-Barr virus infection. This is something I talk about in great detail in my book, Thyroid Healing. Women with PCOS are usually told to eat lots of eggs. While this advice is given by all medical communities these days regarding PCOS, unfortunately it is the worst advice possible for someone who has PCOS. As I explain in Thyroid Healing, eggs feed EBV, which in turn worsens the PCOS. For women with PCOs, it’s critical to focus on healing the EBV infection with the foods and supplements I share in Thyroid Healing.
All women are recommended to take prenatal vitamins during pregnancy. However, I do not think it is necessary because most of the vitamins sold in stores are not high quality or effective. My recommendation is to take spirulina and barley grass juice extract powder. Take about one teaspoon of each every day. These healing foods do more for a woman and her baby than any prenatal vitamins do or can offer extra support while you’re on a recommended prenatal. If you are going to take a prenatal supplement, try to find one made of whole food ingredients which is as close to the original food source as possible. This is what will be most helpful for the baby. Some high quality prenatal supplements I like are Innate Response Prenatal and Mary Ruth’s Organic Liquid Multivitamin and Multimineral. It would still be helpful to also include the spirulina and barley grass juice extract powder along with one of these.
Also, taking one drop of nascent iodine daily, even if you don’t think you have a thyroid condition, can be very helpful. Just one drop a day supports a healthy pregnancy and protects the mom and the baby. In addition, take one milligram of methylfolate daily or every other day when you’re pregnant.
During pregnancy it’s best to stay away from taking any supplemental herbs, unless you are working with a trusted and knowledgeable practitioner that has you using herbs for a very specific reason. But for the most part, keep the herbs out of your routine or to an absolute minimum. A little bit of peppermint tea, nettle leaf tea, or lemon balm tea is generally fine. It’s more important to focus on high quality foods as your source of nutrition than too many supplements while pregnant.
If this is the first time you are hearing this information about eating enough carbohydrates while pregnant or that you can retrain your reproductive system in order to conceive, it’s because medical science and research and medical and alternative health communities are not yet aware of this information, nor how critical it is for the health of mothers and their babies. I have worked with countless mothers and their babies over the decades and the truths I have shared here are vitally important for this sacred stage of life. If you have already had one or more babies and you didn’t eat a high carbohydrate diet during your pregnancies or know to charge up your reproductive system, you can still consider incorporating this information into your next pregnancy. As I said, it means you already had sufficient glucose in your liver and your reproductive system was charged up enough to conceive and birth your babies. This article is here to provide helpful information for any woman who wishes to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy going forward. There is so much misinformation out there and I want to be there with you to help walk you through this special time of life with as much health and ease as possible.

Parkinson’s is an illness that is a complete mystery to medical communities. The real cause is still unknown and even the definition of the disease itself continues to change as more and more people come to their doctors with new unexplained symptoms. What is commonly thought of as Parkinson’s could really be called “unknown mystery symptoms” as there is so little understanding of what’s really behind this condition. In this article, I will share the true cause of the mystery symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease and how you and your loved ones can begin healing.
A Faulty Diagnosis
Originally, Parkinson’s was defined by tremors or shakes in the body, often in the head, the leg, or the hand. These tremors get in the way of everyday functioning and as time progresses, neurological meltdown occurs. This acute breakdown can happen years after the tremors first arise. Because people who suffer from Parkinson’s often suffer from other symptoms as well, the medical community has begun to add these ongoing symptoms to the definition of Parkinson’s, expanding the definition to include delusions, hallucinations, psychosis, and even aches and pains.
In truth, many of these symptoms are unrelated and the diagnosis of Parkinson’s was incorrect from the beginning. Well-respected clinics and medical communities have attempted to alter their Parkinson’s diagnosis by incorporating other mystery neurological symptoms into the definition as patients have reported new symptoms. But this has just led to more confusion and misinformation for those suffering. When we think of Parkinson’s, what we really need to think of is the symptom of mysterious and uncontrollable tremors. I’m going to explain to you in this article exactly what causes these tremors.
I understand that it can be comforting to have a diagnosis or a label for what’s going on in your body and even necessary at times when it comes to having the ability to receive help in the medical system, but when these diagnoses become limiting we need to at least let them go mentally and emotionally if possible. Sometimes it is far more helpful to describe something for what it truly is—a difficult and mysterious symptom that is unknown to medical science but has a specific cause in the body that I will share with you below.
Mystery Neurological Symptoms
In order to understand any mysterious neurological symptoms, we have to talk about what’s happening in the brain. Something is affecting the brain and causing these symptoms. Depending on what it is that is affecting the brain, these causes can result in different neurological conditions.
What are some of the different things that can affect our brain function? Well, it could be that you have a virus in your liver releasing neurotoxins. No one else is going to tell you that—that a virus in your liver could actually be affecting your brain—because this truth hasn’t been discovered by medical science and research. HHV-6 can be in the liver affecting the brain, shingles (which has non-rashing varieties I brought to light in my book Medical Medium, or even Epstein-Barr virus, which I cover in detail in my book Thyroid Healing. Furthermore, medical communities are unaware of the truth that viruses eat! Viruses eat and they eliminate waste. It is critical to understand this because when these viruses eliminate waste, that waste is a toxic byproduct that becomes a poison that can irritate the nervous system. This alone can cause aches and pains commonly associated with Parkinson’s, when it actually isn’t related to the cause of the tremors at all. It may come as a surprise to learn that a simple bug residing in your liver can bring about aches and pains. Epstein-Barr is particularly fond of nestling into the liver and releasing poisons which can lead to a number of symptoms including fatigue and stiffness in the body. Buzzing and humming which have been wrongfully attached to Parkinson’s are actually signs of an abundance of neurotoxins from a viral condition. Breaking apart a medical label and getting to the root causes of the symptoms that make up the condition can be an incredible turning point for individuals that can finally allow them to heal.
Beyond having a virus in your liver, another truth that’s vital to know is that it is possible to have a virus in your brain. HHV-6 can get in the brain and other viruses as well, even undiscovered ones that I brought to light in Medical Medium, such as HHV-10, HHV-11, and HHV-12. But again, this would be unrelated to the shaking symptom that defines Parkinson’s. This instead would create a whole other variety of symptoms that are everyday mysteries to anyone struggling with chronic illness.
What Causes Parkinson’s?
The true cause of the tremors that characterize Parkinson’s is toxic heavy metal deposits in the brain. Medical communities are never going to fully understand or even attempt to fully understand the position metals can take in the brain or how these metals interact, and this is just one reason why this information is crucial for those seeking health and healing. When there are heavy metals in the brain, these deposits can be made of many different kinds of metals: copper, lead, arsenic, aluminum, cadmium, mercury and metal alloys. The neurological symptoms that occur depend on where these metal deposits are located and what kinds of metals they are. In many cases with so many other neurological conditions, the electrical impulses and neurotransmitters firing off in the brain will hit these deposits and shoot off into other areas of brain tissue. This occurrence causes many of the most common neurological symptoms including ADHD, autism, OCD, and many more conditions. But in the case of Parkinson’s something very different occurs.
Parkinson’s is caused by a specific metal. This truth isn’t known by medical science or medical and alternative health communities. Parkinson’s comes from large mercury deposits in the brain. That’s what causes the Parkinson’s tremors. You can have a tremor without it being a serious Parkinson’s one. But when it is the severe Parkinson’s tremors and shakes that completely derail your ability to function it is coming from a mercury deposit in your brain.
Something that dentists understand about mercury, even if they don’t realize it, is the dangerous way that mercury spills and runs. Dentists are well aware that mercury tattoos exist in the gums from old amalgams. This is precisely because of the way that mercury bleeds and runs off into surrounding tissue as it ages and breaks down. The mercury deposits that can be found in the brain behave in this exact same way.
As mercury saturates brain tissue, the electrical impulses in the area begin to go crazy and run into one another. But in the terrible tremors and shakes of Parkinson’s, this occurs in a very specific way. The electrical impulse fires down a neuron on neurotransmitter fuel and runs into the mercury deposit as though it is a wall. Then, instead of going around the deposit and firing off into another area of the brain (which is the cause of other neurological, physical, emotional, and mental conditions), it shoots backwards in the exact same direction from which it came. The same neuron is already in the process of firing off another electrical impulse made out of neurotransmitter fuel and starting to descend down the neuron as it collides with the first one. At the exact same time, on exactly the opposite side of the mercury deposit, another neurotransmitter is doing the exact same thing. It will be decades and maybe even 50 to 75 years, if ever, before science and research discover this truth. One of the reasons for this is because mercury and its effects on the human body are still coveted because of the industries that use it.
In order to picture this, imagine a large silver wall. Now, imagine two Olympic level athletes running at the wall at full speed from opposite sides. They collide into the wall with incredible force and then run back in the direction from which they came. But at the same time, two more revved up runners are sprinting full speed towards the wall and they collide with the first runners. Can you imagine the explosion that occurs? It’s the equivalent of a massive bomb going off on the earth but on a micro nano scale inside the brain. It causes brain surgeons to feel like they have to go in and move around brain tissue and nerves, which is actually an amazing feat of science. Brain surgeons are miracle workers who can remove aneurysms out of the brain and save lives, but in the case of Parkinson’s it’s not about surgery, it’s about detoxing heavy metals. Depending on where the mercury deposits are located in the brain, various parts of your body, whether it be the head, arm, leg, or hand will experience the tremors and shakes. This link between mercury and the ensuing neural activity will not be discovered by medical science for a long time.
The Lyme Label
Many people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s or exhibit Parkinson’s symptoms are being handed a Lyme disease label depending on the doctor they visit. Doctors who specialize in Lyme disease may tell these patients Lyme was the issue all along. This is true for many Multiple Sclerosis patients seeking second opinions on their diagnoses as well. Although a new diagnosis can be refreshing, what is tragic is the fact that the medical communities can offer no accurate answers and healing measures for these labels they pin on people’s conditions and symptoms. It would benefit patients to understand that these labels are merely catch-all terms for mystery symptoms and conditions that many professionals in conventional and alternative communities know very little about. In an attempt to revive the Parkinson’s label, the medical world has begun to place new symptoms into the Parkinson’s category, but this is ultimately to appease certain interest groups with agendas that are not in your best interests, and will not help doctors in truly getting to the root cause of this condition.
If you’re experiencing Parkinson’s, you may identify with many of the neurological symptoms that can occur beyond the severe shakes and tremors. These can include dementia, psychosis, body stiffness, restless legs, tingles, numbness, aches and pains. But these symptoms are born of separate causes than the tremors. The biggest step to take with Parkinson’s is the safe and proper removal of heavy metals from the body, which requires including five specific foods daily that I share on my blog. People suffering from Parkinson’s can have a number of metals in their system other than mercury that can be powerful fuel for viruses to feed off and lead to the emergence of other issues. Supportive Foods & Supplements
There are many supplements that can be supportive when healing from Parkinson’s. The most important is the heavy metal detox smoothie. Chaga mushroom is also extremely helpful to bring in. It can help kill off viruses such as Epstein-Barr deep in the liver. B12 with methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin is critical for any neurological issues. Coenzyme Q-10, glutathione, and L-glutamine can also be beneficial. Also consider bringing in Neuro-mag, OmegaAstin, PharmaGABA, Sam-E, methylfolate, and MSM.
Many of these supplements help nourish and support neurotransmitters, which is critical for Parkinson’s sufferers who have experienced severe neurotransmitter burnout. Siberian ginseng can also be wonderful because it supports the adrenals in a way that is particularly good for brain function. Antivirals, such as a high-quality zinc, licorice root, and cat’s claw can be supportive for anyone suffering from neurological issues. I’ve always championed cat’s claw for its phenomenal antiviral qualities. Spirulina is also great and can be easily incorporated through the heavy metal detox smoothie. So, whether you are working to heal Parkinson’s related issues or any kind of neurological symptom or condition try bringing in some of these powerful supplements. Fresh aloe vera leaf is another powerful way to flush heavy metals out of your body. You can enjoy the benefits of this plant by scooping the clear gel out of a palm-sized piece of aloe vera leaf and blending it into water or a smoothie. Apples are an important food to incorporate into your diet if you are healing from Parkinson’s.
Hydration is essential when the body is dealing with heavy metals. Try drinking a large glass of lemon water first thing in the morning. Make this by squeezing ½ of a lemon into a 16-ounce glass of water. The lemon juice enhances the water’s ability to eliminate toxins from the body and is incredibly effective at cleansing the organs.
The most important thing to remember when it comes to Parkinson’s is that it’s not hopeless with neurological conditions. It’s possible to begin to thrive again by taking the steps needed to support your body through this process. It’s really important to focus on what is causing the symptoms themselves and addressing this root cause. I’ve worked with many over the years who were suffering from terrible tremors and shakes who have either experienced complete freedom from these symptoms or greatly reduced their severity over time.
The ideas behind the treatment of Parkinson’s in the medical community need a total overhaul and that is why I’m sharing this information with you and what we’re trying to do here, all of us together. We have a lot of work to do to bring about change, but it’s possible. And it starts with giving our own bodies what they need in order to flourish. While conditions such as kidney disease, kidney stones, and kidney failure have names, for the most part kidney disease and other kidney health problems are a mystery to medical communities. Researchers are not yet aware of the true cause of kidney related illnesses. The following article demonstrates what is really behind various kidney issues and the steps to begin healing.
The Mystery of Kidney Disease
Medical research has yet to look fully into the true causes of kidney disease. When someone’s kidneys start failing and there wasn’t a blatant physical injury, medical doctors have no answer for their patients as to what the cause is. They may put the blame incorrectly on the patient’s genes because this is what they have learned from misguided theories and agendas in medical science and research. Sadly, putting the blame on the patient’s genes often leaves them feeling helpless, discouraged, and let down by their body. No patient should be told their genes created their illness because it’s simply not true. Genetics are not the cause of chronic illnesses, despite the fact that medical science and research and medical and alternative health communities are saying they are. This is misinformation driven by funding and it’s critical that you and your loved ones know that your genes are not to blame for your symptoms and illnesses. This truth is so vital to know and absorb that I covered it in-depth in my book Thyroid Healing. I also share in the book what is really causing the hundreds of symptoms and illnesses millions of people are suffering with. Until you and your loved ones understand the true causes of any symptoms and conditions you may have, it will be easy to mistakenly believe that your genes have let you down.
What Modern Medicine Says
Modern medicine says the causes of kidney disease are either high blood pressure, diabetes, or injury. Certainly high blood pressure and diabetes are not ideal environments for the kidneys, and of course these are things you want to do your best to avoid. However, those are not the reasons kidney disease exists.
The injury explanation is an obvious one and absolutely can be the cause of kidney failure. If someone’s kidney has been ruptured either by being in a fight, a car accident, or some other sort of incident, that organ will be weakened and lead to problems that can be critical either in the moment of the injury or many years later. There is another form of injury that is often looked over, though. And that is injury from medication.
Injury From Medication
Whether someone is addicted to prescribed medication and taking it recreationally, or they must rely on it for a chronic condition, medication can be harmful for the kidneys. I understand that some people must take medication because they aren’t given any other option and it can be helpful in some cases. However, when it comes to kidney health, it’s important to consult with your physician about avoiding or lowering medication that’s not prescribed for your kidneys and that may not be as important for you so you can lighten the burden on your kidneys. Oftentimes, people are overmedicated from going to multiple doctors who each prescribe more medications. You can bring in the healing steps I will share here and that I share in my books and you can work with a physician at the same time to lower your doses. You can ask your physician which medications are least important so you can assess together which ones you may be able to lower or stop to help protect your kidneys.
What Do Our Kidneys Do
The kidneys are essentially a filtration system. The liver first processes toxins and then passes them along to the kidneys and intestinal tract for elimination. The kidneys gather these processed poisons and moves them into the bladder where the toxins can then be excreted out of the system. Another way to look at the kidneys is as poison gathering containment systems. The kidneys do more than just filter poisons, so the filtration process isn’t as thorough as you might think. The kidneys have a thick skin on the outside and the inside so they are able to handle and hold a decent amount of poison, keeping it from harming you in other areas of the body.
The Unknown Causes of Kidney Disease
The HHV6 (Human Herpes Virus 6) was discovered in the mid-1980s. And then soon after they discovered HHV7. Unfortunately, funding was cut off at this point and no further viruses of its kind were studied appropriately or discovered. It’s unknown to medical science and research that HHV6 and HHV7 are directly responsible for many varieties of kidney disease, as are the undiscovered HHV10, HHV11, and HHV12, which I brought to light in my first book Medical Medium. These unknown viruses are possibly another 50 years away from being discovered. In truth, even HHV6 has multiple mutated strains that have yet to be discovered.
Medical science and research aren’t aware that these viruses play a role in kidney disease. These viruses attack and inflame the kidneys. Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), which I discuss in great detail in Thyroid Healing, is not responsible to kidney disease, but since it’s not helpful for the kidneys to have a viral load at any time, focusing on healing from EBV with the steps I share in my books will only help you support your kidneys during healing. It’s important to begin addressing the viral load in your body to heal and prevent kidney disease and other kidney health problems. What’s a viral load? A viral load is a virus in the body causing mystery symptoms such as fatigue, aches and pains, insomnia, restless legs, migraines, rashes, thyroid problems, anxiety, depression, brain fog, hot flashes, and so many more that I cover in Thyroid Healing.
If the kidneys are containment systems for toxins, you can look at them like barrels of crude oil. With any container of crude oil, there is a thick layer of sludge at the bottom. The sludge is concentrated and as thick as molasses. Over time as the kidney gathers and collects, the sludge can harden and produce kidney stones. The difference between kidneys that produce stones and those that do not depends on what exactly the kidneys are gathering and collecting. Kidney stones are created from excess protein in the diet, and even too much calcium, which I will discuss further in the following sections.
Protein and Fat
We have been told our whole lives that protein is one of the most important macronutrients to focus on. Unfortunately, this has lead to a society obsessed with protein in all forms, especially in the form of animal products. While protein has a role in our diets, most people these days consume far too much protein, as well as too much fat. High levels of protein are especially harmful for someone with kidney disease because it exhausts the kidneys and makes them weaker. The more protein a person eats, the more the kidneys have to work and struggle to filter out poisons. Burdening the kidney with excess protein and fat only allows a kidney virus such as HHV6 to continue pursuing its quest for kidney disease.
Since lowering your levels of protein is very helpful for recovery from kidney disease, try minimizing your protein while still making sure you are consuming enough calories and bringing in more healing fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables. Great sources of calories include foods like potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squashes, bananas, mangos, orange juice, figs, melons, apples, pears, quinoa, millet, black beans, and more. No matter what kind of diet you like to follow, whether it’s high in animal protein, vegan, or vegetarian, try to decrease the amount of protein you consume if you have kidney disease. This does not mean you need to stop eating animal products altogether, but try not to eat animal proteins three times a day. Instead eat it once a day while increasing the foods I mentioned above. If you’re a vegetarian, it’s helpful to stay away from too many nuts, and cutting out soy, dairy, and eggs entirely is extremely helpful for healing. I discuss why this is the case in Thyroid Healing. If you eat a vegan diet, it’s helpful to stay away from high-protein powders, too many nuts, and soy products. If you are in a region of the world or have a cultural diet that consumes a lot of animal protein, you can try to just decrease your portion and increase your fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables whenever you can. Once you can minimize heavy levels of protein in your diet, you should start to see improvements in your kidneys. Keep in mind there is an abundance of bioavailable protein in most fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables.
Bringing in some straight cucumber juice and straight celery juice every day can be very helpful for kidney health. It can also be helpful to consume berries and apples on a regular basis. A little bit of melon can help flush out the kidneys too. If you or a loved one already has kidney disease or is on dialysis, too much potassium can be hard on the kidneys, so it’s best not to eat too many of the fruits that are very high in potassium such as bananas, avocados, and figs. If you suspect you might have weakened kidney function or you want to prevent kidney disease, it’s fine to eat tese foods in higher quantities. Other foods that are helpful for the kidneys are lettuces, varieties of squash, and sweet potatoes. Drinking lemon water can be helpful as it flushes out toxins and supports the kidneys.
Avoiding diuretics, such as tea and coffee, can be helpful, as well. However, a little bit of herbal tea like lemon balm, peppermint, and nettle are safe to consume. It would be helpful to stay away from dairy products as these feed viruses. And eggs feed the HHV6 family in particular, so it would be safer to consume half of a steamed potato instead of an egg. Talk to your doctor about some gentle anti-virals you can take, such as lemon balm tincture, nettle tincture and L lysine. Lysine is great to combat HHV6 and HHV7, as well as some of the other HHVs that have not been discovered. Barley grass juice extract powder is also helpful for the kidneys because it has mild anti-viral properties. Be sure to communicate with your doctor about anti-viral supplements as the herbs may conflict with any medications you are taking.
The good news is that once you are aware of your kidney disease and realize it could be a viral issue, your body will be able to respond to this knowledge and begin healing. It’s amazing what your body can do once you consciously understand the causes of your chronic illness. Your body will jump into action, start cleaning things up, and go after that virus. Viruses lose power once you know they’re the issue.
All of the information I share with you is to help you move forward with your illness. Instead of blaming mystery kidney disease on genes or on the body attacking itself, I hope you now understand the true causes of kidney problems so that you can begin to make the changes needed for healing. Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a label mired in confusion and mystery, can be an earth-shattering diagnosis for many. MS sufferers experience a range of painful symptoms that can completely alter the life they once lived. Fortunately, this condition is not an incurable disease in which your immune system is attacking sections of the nerve sheath, as many well-intentioned medical experts believe. Rather, the truth is that aggressive viruses and their cofactors are often what trigger off many of the MS symptoms. To better understand how this disease came to be, it is important that we delve into the history behind MS. Once I share the true historical information, you will have a deeper understanding of how this diagnosis has come to be tethered to so much damaging misinformation. This will also give you the freedom to release any misinformation you’ve been told and take hold of the truths about multiple sclerosis so you can truly begin to heal.
The History of Multiple Sclerosis
After World War II, a shift in science took place as people began to explore new ideas and dive into novel projects. During this time, the beginnings of the hormone movement appeared as researchers began to manipulate hormones through pharmaceutical synthesis and knowledge acquired from research on animals.
Prior to 1940, people did not view perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause as related to the negative symptoms that many women now tend to associate with this phase of their life. Up until this point, women who stopped menstruating typically felt better, had increased energy, and a higher libido— outcomes that women rarely have the fortune of experiencing today. Medical science and research and medical and alternative health communities aren’t aware that there was a number of reasons for this shift, one of which was an escalation in viral issues.
Around the late 1940s, doctors' offices began to fill with women experiencing a range of symptoms like never before in women’s health history. Professionals did not know how to diagnose these mystery symptoms. Some of the symptoms women were experiencing included fatigue, feeling out of sorts, weakness in the legs, numbness, depression, fatigue, and anxiety. In that day in history it wasn’t unusual for a doctor to typically tell a wealthy woman that she was bored or unhappy and would encourage her to take on a new venture or charity project. A poor woman would be told she was lazy, crazy, attention seeking, or being dishonest. Sadly, most women, regardless of their socioeconomic status, were handed a completely inaccurate diagnosis.
The Viral Explosion
Many people picked up viruses around the turn of the 20th century, but these initially docile viruses needed time to root and strengthen themselves. By mid century in the 1940s and 1950s, for the first time people were not only feeling the effects of rooted viruses that were ready to make an appearance, but they likely felt the effects of increased exposure to radiation and DDT combined. This is information I brought to light in my books Medical Medium and Life-Changing Foods.
You may never link World War II and menopause in your head, but they actually have a connection worth noting. During the war, the atomic bomb released a tremendous amount of radioactive dust into the atmosphere. This dust began to fall out of the sky heavily by 1950 and has continued ever since. This increased radiation exposure around mid century was another unseen factor doctors and other health practitioners were unaware of and thus didn’t consider a factor when it came to diagnosing and supporting their patients and clients.
At this time in history, the use of DDT was rampant. It was being sprayed in parks, neighborhoods, and on the food people consumed. This damaging chemical quickly began affecting the health of those who were exposed and was just another piece of the puzzle contributing to the boom of hundreds of mystery illnesses, many of which I addressed in my book, Medical Medium. I share the truth about many more mystery illnesses in my book, Thyroid Healing, which contains a wealth of essential health information that can help and protect you and your loved ones.
Near the end of the 1950s, many doctors stopped calling their patients lazy, crazy, or bored. Instead, women’s hormones were blamed for these symptoms. Prescriptions were offered as a solution, but sadly, this supposed cure actually made many women much more sick.
True Birth of the MS Diagnosis
In the past, neurological conditions were often only taken seriously by medical professionals if the condition was able to be perceived by the doctor’s own eyes. For example, a doctor could easily see if someone was suffering from tremors or involuntary autonomic spasms and would deem these neurological issues. However, if a woman’s neurological problems, such as severe fatigue or increased blindness, were not visible, their symptoms were often not believed or taken seriously.
Although women vocalized their health struggles, it wasn’t until men began to complain of similar neurological issues that medical professionals began to take serious note of these symptoms. Women were wrongfully seen as liars and manipulators, so their cries that something was wrong were met with scorn and disbelief. Once men, who were deemed honest and trustworthy within the patriarchal society, complained of experiencing similar symptoms to women, doctors began to take these health issues seriously and invested into the label of multiple sclerosis. In the late 1800s an extremely rare sclerosis illness was discovered but it had no true resemblance to what we call multiple sclerosis today. It was a different brain illness that had a very different cause to what we know as multiple sclerosis. If someone was suffering from tingles and numbness, aches and pains, fatigue, neuropathy-like sensations in their hands and feet, blurry eyes, or constant, mild headaches, the medical world would now be able to give them a label that wasn’t an old, obscure theoretical discovery that only a few people were given for very different reasons back in the late 1800s.
When the first true MS diagnoses were delivered, suggested treatment options were limited and even inappropriate and led many people to suffer unnecessarily. It is important that you know what is actually happening inside the body when a MS label is given and how you can work to heal the true root cause.
The truth, which is unknown to medical science and research, is that almost every neurological symptom stems from one group of viruses— the herpes family. There are certain types of bacteria that can cause instant swelling and inflammation in the brain, but the problem that arises is strikingly different than the neurological symptoms that people with MS, ALS, lyme disease and more have to endure. Although a variety of the Epstein-Barr virus is often responsible for MS, other cofactors usually play a role also. The presence of toxic heavy metals such as mercury, copper, aluminum, lead, nickel, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, alloys, and steels, or dangerous chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, or DDT can help fuel and support the many strains of Epstein-Barr and other herpetic viruses that are triggering off neurological symptoms. Medical science and research aren’t yet aware that there are over 60 strains of Epstein-Barr viruses alone, a truth I discuss in detail in my book, Thyroid Healing.
Instead of handing people a MS label, doctors and health practitioners would be providing a better diagnosis if they told MS sufferers they have a variation of Guillain-Barré Syndrome since their neurological issues stem from a viral infection. It would be even better still to tell a patient that their condition and symptoms are viral so they can address the viral issue and allow the central nervous system to heal.
Oftentimes a brain lesion will be seen on the MRI or CAT scans of someone who has been diagnosed with MS. A lesion could be a number of things including a crystallization, calcification, or scar tissue from a knock on the head many years ago that may not be causing you any issues. It is important to note that millions of people who aren’t diagnosed with MS live their lives with harmless markings inside their brains that they are completely unaware of. However, if you’re struggling with stiffness, weakness, or numbness in various areas of the body, have started suffering from blurry vision, or have developed any other symptom associated with MS and a brain scan reveals a visible deposit in your brain, you may be given an inaccurate MS diagnosis. It is common to have unharmful markings on your brain and current MRIs are not even able to pick up on all of the markings that you may have. It will be twenty to thirty years before these machines will be able to scan the brain with the accuracy needed. If you ever have an MRI or CT scan with contrast make sure to stay hydrated and add a little bit more lemon or lime water into your routine for a period of time. The contrast contains heavy metals and it is important that you flush these toxins out of your bloodstream and organs. You may also wish to consider including the daily heavy metal detox smoothie for a while.
Even if you aren’t exhibiting symptoms, you may be incorrectly told that you have MS if a scan reveals noticeable markings on the brain. These markings, which you may have had from birth or childhood and could be deposits of heavy metals or MSG are seldom connected to MS. Although there are unique cases where viral inflammation leads to the creation of severe pockets and lesions in the brain along with damaged nerve sheaths and nerve endings that may trigger MS-related symptoms, these instances are rare. If you are suffering from MS symptoms what is much more likely to be happening is that a variety of the Epstein-Barr virus in your system is releasing an abundance of neurotoxins from the liver which are floating through the body, harming the nervous system, and triggering off MS-related symptoms. This can occur whether or not you have lesions or markings on your brain.
There are a number of reasons you may be suffering from MS symptoms, but a lesion in the brain is not the true culprit. It is far more likely that your symptoms are arising from a B-12 deficiency and methylation issue, along with one or more viruses releases a tremendous amount of neurotoxins into the body. Maybe you’re battling an Epstein-Barr virus and a shingles virus or you have an Epstein-Barr strain, shingles strain, and a HHV-6 variety. Regardless of the specific mix of viruses you are up against, it is likely that an abundance of neurotoxins are floating through your system and wreaking havoc. The Lyme Trend
Fewer people are being given an MS diagnosis today, or if they have been given an MS diagnosis in the past, it’s now getting changed to a different diagnosis. This is largely due to the fact that a wide array of symptoms are now being wrongfully funneled into a lyme disease diagnosis. The number of new MS diagnoses are falling as the number of lyme disease diagnoses continue to skyrocket, and this trend will continue for some time. Some doctors quickly place patients in the lyme disease category without even having blood work completed. Many people who have been labeled with MS for some time are now being handed a lyme disease label as well. As this wildly inaccurate lyme trend continues to grow, the MS label will become more obscure and outdated with each passing year. At this point in time, I would actually prefer someone to be diagnosed with MS over lyme because the information and confusion surrounding lyme is disastrously wrong. If you’re sensitive about the topic of lyme disease, please keep an open mind as you continue to read the rest of this article. There is so much misinformation around lyme disease that needs to be cleared up so it’s no longer holding back the many people who are wrongfully given this diagnosis.
Around the birth of the lyme disease diagnosis, a number of incredible doctors who were analyzing cases of this disease unanimously and accurately recognized it to be viral. However, In the early 1970s, there were no antiviral pharmaceuticals that could treat viruses. There were steroids and antibiotics available at this time, and once professionals latched onto the mistaken notion that lyme was bacterial, which I explain in detail in my book Medical Medium, patients began to receive prescriptions that weren't actually supporting the true cause behind this disease— viruses. The brilliant doctors who told their patients the truth— that lyme was viral— didn’t have any medications to offer them. If a patient had suggested to one of these doctors to treat their virus-based disease with antibiotics, the doctor would have most likely objected to this suggestion, asserting that treating a viral infection with an antibiotic would make the patient worse. This piece of information is still true today and is one reason why close to 85% of people suffering with lyme grow worse as they treat their viral condition with antibiotics. The other 15% of those suffering may improve, but this is likely due to alternative treatments they incorporate into their protocol such as IV vitamin C therapy and certain beneficial supplements like cat’s claw. I've espoused the value of supplements like cat’s claw to numerous lyme doctors over the past three decades, and finally this information is starting to circulate within the field. I’ve worked with numerous lyme sufferers whose lives were changed once they discontinued antibiotics and began a true anti-viral protocol. Because MS, like lyme disease, is caused by viruses wreaking havoc in the body, antibiotics should be avoided and an anti-viral protocol should be implemented instead.
The reason I am addressing lyme disease here is because of the complete lack of understanding surrounding this condition. Also, you may have received a lyme diagnosis if you have MS symptoms or you may in the future. Now you know there is much more to understand about lyme than what your doctor or health practitioner may tell you if you or a loved one receive a lyme disease diagnosis. Steps to Take
A tremendous amount of neurotoxins in your system, can lead to such severe nerve inflammation that the nerves can dry and crack. If someone’s nervous system is in a state of complete disarray and they aren’t providing their body with the foods and supplements that can help their body fight against the invaders and toxins causing the problems, they may sadly find themselves struggling and being prescribed immunosuppressive drugs by a doctor. Because immunosuppressive drugs break down the immune system, if they are taking certain medications it is critical that they bring in certain foods and supplements that serve to fortify the immune system. If they suffer from acute attacks, their doctor is likely to prescribe them a steroid to reduce inflammation, but he or she won’t be able to tell them the information that will allow them to overcome these attacks indefinitely. Medicine is behind and patients need to know the steps they can take to battle their disease today.
If you are suffering with MS, It is important to know that you can heal. There are countless neurological symptoms you may be battling, but hold on to the faith that you can move past them with the proper healing measures. If you are handed an MS label, you must recognize it for what it truly is. Being given this label does not mean it will be life-threatening. Over the past decades I’ve helped numerous people heal after they were given a MS diagnosis, and with the correct supplements and food choices you can move towards conquering MS too.
Supportive Supplements & Teas
When it comes to healing MS, there are a few supplements that are critical for every sufferer, two of which are B-12 with methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin and a high-quality zinc. Supplements that help fight back and eradicate the viruses in your system are crucial. Some recommended supplements include cat’s claw, lemon balm, silica, a little licorice, and a little olive leaf. Vitamin C is an essential supplement to add to your protocol and a little ALA can be beneficial as well. For neurological symptoms methylfolate and a b-complex can be valuable. Glutamine is incredible for supporting nerves in your brain and for helping break down pockets of MSG, calcium deposits, or other toxins in the brain that leave markings.
Additional supplements to consider are elderberry, lomatium root, propolis, nettle leaf, and a plant-based omega-3. Although vitamin D does not fix the problem and should not be taken in large doses, a certain amount of this supplement can be supportive. If you’re looking for additional healing ideas, try bringing rose hips tea into your daily routine. This drink is fantastic for helping combat Epstein-Barr related neurological symptoms. Bringing in supplements can be an incredibly powerful piece of the healing puzzle, but making sure your diet includes a plethora of life-giving, disease-fighting foods is another critical component.
Wild blueberries are a critical food to consume while healing from MS. They contain a number of health benefits including restoring and calming the nerves. Wild blueberries alongside spirulina and barley grass juice extract powder are three out of the five most powerful foods to help draw heavy metals out of the system. Regularly incorporating all five of the heavy metal detox foods can be unbelievably beneficial for anyone recovering from MS. Other helpful foods to incorporate include dandelion greens, spinach, mâche, and collard greens. Turmeric and burdock root can be helpful as well. Additional foods to incorporate include avocado, hemp seeds, and walnuts. Try munching on a handful of shelled, dried watermelon seeds ever so often for some powerful healing support. One tasty, nourishing meal might be guacamole wrapped up in collard greens, another simple, supportive option is potato or sweet potato soup. Add carrot, onion, garlic, celery, and any other tasty veggie or herbs you might like. You could receive an abundance of benefits from dining on this soup daily.

Foods to Avoid
Removing foods from your diet that feed viruses like Epstein-Barr can be a critical piece of fully healing from MS. Some of the most important foods to avoid include eggs, dairy products, and corn.
If you have been diagnosed with MS, your practitioner may recommend an abundance of protein to help support muscle strength. But it’s carbohydrates, not protein, that are more important and will actually help you build muscle. As you work to recover from MS, bring in an abundance of carbohydrate-rich fruits and veggies, as well as plenty of leafy greens, for healing and to help maintain strength. At the same time, keep your animal protein to once per day or less when possible. During a period where you're working to heal severe neurological symptoms, lowering animal protein and bringing in more of the healing fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables is ideal.
Throughout the years I’ve helped many people overcome multiple sclerosis and neurological symptoms of all kinds. If you have been suffering, even if it has been for many, many years, it is critical that you hold onto faith in your body’s ability to heal. You can move past the chronic pain, the tremors, the weakness, the fatigue or whatever symptoms you are battling on a daily basis. As you take one day at a time and implement a protocol of healing, antiviral supplements and nourishing juices and meals, try your best to keep a light heart. Have you ever been to an allergist or gotten an allergy test done? Perhaps you’ve been told you’re allergic to certain healing fruits or vegetables, like celery or apples, but have never noticed any reactions from these nourishing foods. Or perhaps you haven’t been told you’re allergic to a fruit or vegetable, but you experience symptoms after consuming it like bloating, a stomach ache, headache, fatigue, itchiness, a burning sensation, or another symptom that makes you think you are sensitive.
At present, there are many tests available that claim to show if you’re allergic to certain foods. Unfortunately, these tests are not always accurate and often provide people with misinformation that can lead to confusion and frustration. This isn’t the fault of the practitioners who are giving you the tests. It’s that the tests themselves are inadequate and ineffective. Medical research and medical science have yet to figure out how the foods we eat act inside the body and all the ways they affect us. That makes it difficult for tests to accurately assess whether someone is sensitive to a specific food, is actually experiencing detox symptoms, or if the symptoms are caused by something else altogether. This article will address food allergies, certain seasonal allergies, and the main reasons behind the inaccuracies of today’s popular allergy tests. The Truth About the Digestive Process
Think about when you ate your breakfast this morning. You probably enjoyed the delicious taste of the food as you took a bite and chewed it up, but do you know exactly what happened to the food once it entered your stomach? No, you can’t know because medical research and medical science do not fully understand what happens either. Medical research and medical science are in the primitive stages of discovering what actually occurs in the digestive system when food is consumed. Terms such as ‘digestion’, ‘absorption’, ‘assimilation’, and ‘enzymes’ are used to describe the digestive process, but medical research and medical science have a very incomplete understanding of what actually takes place.
For instance, science has yet to discover that the digestive hydrochloric acid in your stomach is actually composed of a blend of seven different acids. I revealed this truth in my book Medical Medium. These seven acids carry out a number of tasks that no one in medical science or medical research has discovered. These important acids can be built up with help from particular foods such as celery. And, although medical research and medical science are aware that celery contains sodium, researchers have not yet identified the valuable subgroups of mineral salts this herb contains. These mineral salts actually work to change the chemistry inside the intestinal tract, which helps to support the liver and other organs in our body. If you juice celery, the drink can help kill off H. pylori, reduce inflammation and completely change your digestion for the better. These are just a few of the benefits. I recently heard from a mother that her son, who is attending college, stood up to a professor who wrongfully suggested that fruit is filled with bad sugar and is harmful for humans. Although the professor was partially right about the fact that fruit contains natural, life-enhancing sugars, he was completely incorrect that these sugars are bad and that fruit in general is bad and harmful for humans. A fruit fear has developed over the course of a decade and has sadly begun to permeate the belief system of highly intelligent individuals, such as university professors who then spread this misinformation to the attentive young minds in their classrooms. This could inevitably lead to students keeping fruits like apples, cherries, pears, berries, and bananas out of their diets when these are the very foods that are critical for maintaining a sharp mind and good health. In this particular instance, the boy who challenged the professor’s erroneous claim was attending a science class. You would think the professor would stick to scientific, evidence-based claims that were carefully weighed and measured, but this misinformation is just one of the many faulty claims made by people in medical research and medical science that was never weighed and measured. One of the greatest of these mistakes is the notion that autoimmune diseases stem from the body attacking itself. The Truth About Allergy Testing
Have you or a loved one ever had an IgG test done? Although this test claims to showcase the foods you are allergic to, it is oftentimes inaccurate and can provide you with information that negatively affects the dietary choices you make. It is vital that you do not let the inaccuracies of this test keep you from eating foods that offer wonderful support for your health. For example, when an IgG test reveals that you are allergic to celery, it is likely that the celery is killing off a pathogen and the pathogen is releasing a toxin that is creating a histamine reaction. Unfortunately, this may inaccurately appear as a celery allergy on the IgG test. In reality, the powerful celery juice in your system is destroying H. pylori, streptococcus, mold, and more. Unfortunately, patients who are not aware of this can sometimes feel panicked by the long list of foods that the test suggests they are allergic to, and they may dive into unnecessary elimination diets in an attempt to alleviate allergies that aren’t actually present. Hold onto the idea that you may be able to handle powerful, nourishing foods, like celery, just fine. This is extremely different to if someone has an extreme, immediate reaction after biting into a food that causes a restriction in the throat, restricts breathing, or swells the mouth and needs immediate medical care.
Other examples of incredibly powerful foods that may inaccurately trigger the IgG test include figs, which can help fight off E. coli and streptococcus, garlic, which can help eradicate H. pylori, C. diff, staph, streptococcus, E. coli, and mold, and bananas, which are incredibly antiviral. The reason these foods may trigger incorrect results on these type of tests is because when these foods enter the body, they kill off pathogens that explode and release poisons. Because experts do not realize this is taking place in the body, they associate negative results on the test with the foods that appear to elicit these reactions. Knowing the truth about the accuracy of these tests is critical.
If you are a practitioner who frequently uses the IgG test, try and stay open minded about what the test reveals and what might actually be going on with your patient. Hold onto the information from this article and accompanying radio show so that you see the benefits and downsides of this test in a new light and have a truer understanding of why the test results highlight the things that they do. As you develop a new way of understanding and interacting with this tool, you will be able to better assist your patients and support their healing through not only your experience but what you’ve learned here as well as your intuition and what your gut tells you.
Dairy Allergy & Lactose Intolerance
It may come as a surprise to learn that lactose intolerance is not a result of someone actually being intolerant to lactose. Science and research does not understand what is really happening with lactose intolerance and dairy allergies. If you consume a dairy product and notice immediate discomfort— perhaps you are forced to rush to the bathroom— it is likely due to the dairy products in your system hyper feeding a group of bugs in the colon and intestinal tract. Imagine these bugs like a pack of piranhas feeding. The bugs instantly tear into the dairy product which stirs up immediate reactions in the body. “Hyper feeding” is a term Spirit has taught me to describe a scenario such as this.
When these bugs feed off not only lactose, but other constituents found in milk, they eliminate a highly toxic poison that can trigger off symptoms that are associated with lactose intolerance including diarrhea, cramps, bloating, and more. If you have an allergy test done, and the results do not mention dairy, you may still have an allergy to dairy. At the same time, beneficial foods might show up on the test because they were effectively killing off pathogens and this activity can make these foods appear problematic in the test results, even though they are actually beneficial. This is another example of how allergy testing can produce flawed results and is another reason to remain open minded and curious if you choose to have these tests done.
What experts critically need to understand is that when someone has a wheat allergy or celiac disease, it is not because of the wheat itself, but because the person has a pathogen in their body that is feeding on the wheat. As the pathogen feasts on the wheat, it releases toxins, and this is what can produce a reaction of various symptoms that may last for a few days or a few weeks. This is not yet known by medical science and research or medical or alternative health communities. If someone has a wheat allergy or celiac disease, what they really need to do is start addressing the pathogens in their body with antiviral and antibacterial foods and supplements and removing the foods that feed pathogens. It is critical that this information begin to spread so that people who suffer from a wheat allergy or celiac disease know what’s really going on in their bodies.
Pollen, Ragweed, and Hay Fever Allergies
If you have reactions to pollen, ragweed or hay fever, try to eliminate wheat, dairy, eggs, canola oil, soy, corn, and MSG from your diet. To learn about the terms used to conceal the use of MSG in a product, check out the “What Not to Eat” chapter in my first book, Medical Medium. If you want even quicker healing results, remove rye and other grains from your diet. Pork can also feed bugs and it may be beneficial to remove this food as well. Once you eliminate unproductive foods from your diet, any streptococcus in your system as well as other pathogens will no longer be given fuel to continue to proliferate and wreak havoc. It’s these underlying bacterial infections that are behind these allergies. Replace the foods you’ve eliminated from your diet with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, which can also speed up your healing process. Once you implement these recommendations, your pollen, ragweed, and hay fever allergy symptoms are likely to decrease and disappear completely after a period of time.
If major diet shifts seem overwhelming right now, start with just removing wheat from your diet and see how even a single shift can ease your symptoms and ignite change. Once you begin to notice the benefits of a small dietary modification, you may be more motivated to continue removing unproductive foods. Any step towards healing is a victory!
The Issue With Eggs
In the body, eggs can feed bugs and help grow cysts, nodules, fibroids, and tumors. I talk about this in my book, Thyroid Healing. Sadly, people who have tumors, cysts, nodules, and fibroids, and are battling cancer, and have gotten an IgG test, are not always told they are allergic to eggs despite the fact that eggs can support the growth of cysts and tumors, feed viruses, and help create cancers. Instead, the test may wrongfully propose that these people are allergic to foods like blueberries or raspberries that actually help fight against cancers. Countless people leave doctors offices believing they should eliminate healing foods such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and watermelon from their diets while believing that they are okay to include foods like eggs which can trigger countless symptoms and illnesses. Allergies that result in anaphylactic shock are a completely different issue to the seasonal allergies and milder food allergies and sensitivities people experience. If you suffer from a severe allergic reaction to things such as peanut butter, latex, paint, bee stings, and a number of other food and medication triggers, it is important you address these instances differently than you would seasonal allergies or milder food allergies.
Powerful Foods & Detox Reactions
There are certain incredibly powerful foods, such as fresh fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables, that you can eat to help kill off pathogens that trigger allergic symptoms and wreak havoc in the system. These fresh, life-giving foods can help draw toxic heavy metals out of the body and eliminate other chemicals and toxins such as pesticides and DDT which can be present in our bodies. As you read earlier in this article, when certain beneficial foods are working to eliminate toxins in the body, these foods can trigger off reactions in the body, such as a release of histamine. This may actually be a positive sign of the body detoxing and pushing unproductive substances out of the system. If you’ve had an IgG test or other allergy test done, and you’ve been given a list of foods you need to avoid that includes beneficial fruits and vegetables, it is critical that you reassess these suggestions in light of the truths in this article and in my books.
Puzzling Detox Reactions
Do you or a loved one experience burning sensations around the mouth when you eat a piece of fruit, such as an apple? This peculiar feeling around the lips happens to a number of people. In the case of the apple, it may be that in the past you ate a conventional apple that was filled with pesticides or DDT, which is still in use in various parts of the world today. When you bit into the chemical-saturated apple, the toxic chemicals spread across the lips and around the inside of the mouth and triggered a reaction in the body because of the original association. Following this, any subsequent apple you eat can trigger off a similar physical reaction. Fortunately, you can resolve this issue over time by implementing certain healing measures. To begin with, eliminate the main foods Spirit recommends avoiding such as corn, soy, canola oil, eggs, dairy, and pork. You can find the entire list in my book, Thyroid Healing. Switch out these unproductive foods for meals and snacks that are filled with fresh fruits, leafy greens, and veggies. Gradually, you will grow less reactive and issues such as burning sensations around the mouth and other detox reactions that arise from eating certain healing foods will fade.
Oftentimes people who are suffering from chronic illness will eat a diet filled with wheat, dairy products, and eggs and not realize that these food choices are actually holding them back from healing their conditions or symptoms. People may even blame a healing food for causing some of their issues because when they eat a celery stick, cucumber slice, or tomato, the healing properties of the food may temporarily cause some uncomfortable sensations while drawing toxins out of the body. If people don’t recognize these detox symptoms as beneficial, they may avoid foods that can actually help them heal and return to foods like bread, cheese or butter, which don’t stir up detox symptoms, but stealthily exacerbate their health issues.
When people are told they are allergic or sensitive to healing foods such as celery, apples, oranges, and asparagus it can be incredibly confusing and damaging misinformation. The IgG test and other allergy tests are faulty tools, and it is important that you do not let the misinformation they provide effect the healing fruits and vegetables you choose to bring into your diet. If you are surprised to learn that the IgG test suggests you are allergic to pears, melons, raspberries or other fruits and vegetables you’ve never seemed to have a reaction to, talk to your practitioner and see if you could try incorporating these foods into your diet regardless of the test’s results. You can take it one day at a time and start by adding in some of the most powerful healing foods, such as celery juice and wild blueberries.
Sweet potatoes are another wonderful healing food. Sweet potatoes can help heal colitis, Crohn’s disease, various cancers, sleep disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, PCOS, alopecia, heart disease, and more. If you suffer from depression or anxiety, try eating sweet potatoes daily for ninety days and watch as these conditions begin to lift. Scar tissue, spasms, cramps, diarrhea, and anxiousness are just some of the many symptoms sweet potatoes can help eliminate. Following the truest information is especially essential when you are sixty and want to reach one hundred years of age, but it’s important for anyone of any age. It is important to realize that the food choices you make now will affect your health five years from now and even ten years from now, and taking out healing foods because a faulty test suggests you may have sensitivities can be detrimental to these efforts.

Have you been diagnosed with a parasite? If so, you are one of the many people who have encountered the rapidly growing trend of blaming long-standing health problems on parasites. In this article I begin to break apart these inaccurate, yet deep-rooted ideas that are quickly spreading and negatively impacting those who receive this misdiagnosis.
The parasite diagnosis is a trend that is quickly overtaking other trends that have been around for decades, such as the Candida diagnosis. To learn the truth about Candida, check out my radio show or read the chapter on Candida in my first book, Medical Medium. Instead of attributing patients’ health issues to Candida, many well-meaning doctors and health are beginning to shift the blame to parasites. Both of these diagnoses are usually incorrect and can keep you from learning the truth about how to fully recover your health.
The Wrong Diagnosis
Medical communities are still not aware of what is causing people to suffer from conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and SIBO. This lack of understanding often leads to incorrect diagnoses, like parasites, which are one of the current scapegoats for health issues such as these. When a person is handed this diagnosis, usually parasites are not actually the issue and something else in her or his body is triggering symptoms and conditions. Becoming infected with a parasite is vastly different to dealing with some some bloating, gastritis, constipation, tummy aches, stitches, and fatigue.
The medical world has not reached a point yet where professionals can swiftly and accurately determine what is going on for someone internally. For example, the amount of byproduct the Epstein-Barr virus can expel in the liver and intestinal tract can lead a practitioner to believe that his or her patient is suffering from a parasitic infection. The problem with this diagnosis is that the person does not have a parasitic infection and is actually battling Epstein-Barr, a virus that can easily expel an abundance of byproduct and viral casings that get misdiagnosed as parasites because they’ve not yet been accurately identified. In my third book, Thyroid Healing, I go into great detail about the different mutated strains of Epstein-Barr that are able to adapt in order to enter various organs. During this process, certain strains of this virus can actually change their casings, and medical professionals may misidentify these viral casings as bacteria or a type of parasite.
Various types of bugs can show up in a person’s stool sample. Imagine mashing up a handful of insects and then trying to identify the different creepy-crawlers from the crushed pieces. It would be nearly impossible to tell which insects you were looking at from merely observing the smashed up bits. In a similar way, accurately identifying parasites in a stool sample is nearly impossible.
Rather than blaming parasitic activity for a patient’s chronic fatigue, aches and pains, or gut issues, the blame should be directed at the actual unproductive microorganisms that are creating these problems. If the symptoms and conditions you are battling have led you to be diagnosed with a parasitic infection, there is a high likelihood you have been misdiagnosed and are actually suffering from a low-grade bacterial or viral infection. If your particular troubles include gut issues and inflammation, it is likely that a bacterial infection is the culprit. Depending on your unique symptoms and conditions, a viral infection could be responsible as well. You may unknowingly have scar tissue and injuries in your intestinal tract and colon from old pockets of E. coli or streptococcus, or old viral deposits. Whether it be in your liver, spleen, pancreas, small intestine, or stomach lining, an abundance of scar tissue can trigger various issues. The health troubles you are fighting can be exacerbated by numerous variables including low hydrochloric acid, a sluggish liver, and food sensitivities. Fortunately, some of the healing steps health practitioners may have given you for a misdiagnosed parasitic infection, such as using herbs, may still have been helping you begin to heal the true cause of your health issues to some degree.
Dealing with A True Parasite
If you’ve been diagnosed with a parasitic infection in the past and are still alive today trying to manage the symptoms and conditions related to this supposed parasitic infection, there is a very likely chance that you were never actually dealing with a parasite. It is possible to become infected from an actual parasite, but when someone is suffering with a genuine parasite, either the person is able to knock the parasite out of her or his system, or the parasite can potentially end up killing the person. Bottom line, either you win or the parasite wins. There really isn’t an in between.
For example, a person can become infected with a parasite from eating raw pork. In this instance the person may end up in an intensive care unit with an incredibly high fever or in critical ailing pain feeling fearful for their life. Sadly, if their body is unable to eliminate the parasite, it could become devastating and life-threatening. The one certainty in this situation is that the parasite contracted from the pork will not be able to simply live in the person’s system for an extended period of time. The potentially fatal health consequences that can arise from undercooked pork is one reason to avoid this type of meat.
If you’re eating raw or undercooked meat or chicken, you are putting yourself at risk for contracting the Toxoplasma gondii parasite. This parasite is so toxic it can give rise to hallucinations. Raw or undercooked meat may contain this parasite, but it can also be found on raw salads and raw vegetables prepared at restaurants that serve animal protein and animal products. Whether you are a meat eater, vegetarian, or vegan, avoiding raw salad and raw vegetables in restaurants that are not plant-based is a smart choice. Sticking with cooked food selections is a much safer option.
You could contract a dangerous parasite from drinking contaminated water in Mexico or from simply dining at a random bar and grill near your home. I’ve also known people who have almost died from eating street food in the Dominican Republic. So whether you are traveling internationally or just headed to a barbeque with friends, staying mindful of your food and drink choices is crucial. Malaria is another parasitic infection people can battle. Like all other parasites, someone cannot live with malaria in their system. A person is able to beat malaria, but if their body is unable to knock out the parasitic infection, the malaria can take their life. Amoebas and protozoan parasites are just the same. If your body cannot eliminate the parasite, the amoeba or protozoa can be life-threatening. You maybe wondering about Babesia, but is important to understand that this hybrid is mislabeled. It’s not entirely a parasite. In truth, three-quarters of this harmless hybrid is bacterial in nature.
Medical research still does not fully understand the various microorganisms that linger on foods such as contaminated meat and chicken and in places such as swamps and still water. It’s a life or death situation when you’re dealing with a real parasitic infection. The truth is that if you aren’t able to beat these bugs, they can potentially beat you. If you have a parasitic infection you may experience violent vomiting or nonstop diarrhea. I’ve spoken with doctors and nurses who dread situations where people come into the hospital experiencing stomach problems related to a true parasitic infection. Often, professionals have to put the patient in a medically induced coma and hope that the patient is able to fight off the parasite over time.
In certain cases, the body’s reaction is slightly more moderate than a usual instance involving parasites. If your body is able to quickly kill the parasite you may only endure a very brief stint of vomiting or diarrhea. In some instances, a person may feel ill for a few weeks while their body works to fight off the parasite. If this happens, the parasite might stir up less acute symptoms for slightly longer than a typical parasitical infection. But in the end, the parasite is killed. A true parasite can’t stay in the body long term.
Our bodies are amazing and they can beat a parasitical infection, and most of the time they do— there’s just a small percentage who are unable to beat them. If you ever have to endure contamination from a parasite try your best to keep a light heart through the agony and pain. Fiercely believe in your heart and soul that you will win because you definitely can! If you’re dealing with chronic health issues for an extended period of time, there is a significant chance those issues do not stem from parasites whatsoever. Likely something else is giving rise to these problems.
The Bugs in Your Body
It is important to understand that we all have an abundant variety of bugs in our bodies— some good bugs, some harmful bugs, and some that are neutral. Beneficial microorganisms contribute to your health and healing in a number of supportive ways. The neutral bacteria and other microorganisms in your system do not bolster your wellbeing, but they do not detract from your health either. Neutral bugs or even annoying, bothersome bugs that reside in you can actually push harmful parasites out of your system. Viruses like Epstein-Barr do not like when other invaders, such as parasites, are in the body, and these pathogens will actually help rid the body of other unwanted invaders. This is the reason that many people who suffer from autoimmune issues brought about by Epstein-Barr do not catch many colds or flus. There are some pathogens that may not provide you with any physical assistance, but contributes to your spiritual growth. When you go through an enormous trial that pushes you to your limits, like battling a chronic illness, and you finally learn the truth and are able to overcome and rise above whatever you were up against, you may experience radical transformation on a soul and spirit level. You may not realize this at the time, but the bacteria or virus you were battling and the trying circumstances it created actually helped bring about this soul transformation. In these instances, although the bacteria, virus, or other pathogen has caused you immense pain and suffering, it has also taught you something life-changing. By giving rise to this lesson, these bacteria, viruses, and similar pathogens distinguish themselves from true parasites that will ruthlessly take from you without giving you anything in return.
You maybe surprised to learn that Epstein-Barr was once an incredibly friendly virus that actually worked for you and not against you. I discuss Epstein-Barr indepth in my third book, Thyroid Healing. Sadly, agendas that drive conventional medicine and certain other industries have caused Epstein-Barr to become the troublesome virus we know today. However, as I mentioned earlier, Epstein-Barr and other viruses and bacteria can still give your body something, such as spiritual or emotional growth, that a real parasite cannot give you.
Alongside bugs, you may also have a number of worms in your system that do not affect your ability to live your life and do not give rise to noticeable symptoms or conditions. A few types of worms fall into the parasite category because they can grow quite large, work quickly, and can cause great harm if you do not remove them from your system. However, most worms are a different type of bug that should not be lumped into the same group with parasites.
You maybe wondering about parasites that are protozoa-based and amoeba-based, but these types of parasites are not related to worms either. Unlike parasites, which can actually defeat their hosts, worms often live in humans without causing too many noticeable issues. It is not ideal to have worms in your body, but for the most part they do not cause nearly the destruction that true parasites can inflict. Although there are some rather harmful worms, most worms are almost neutral in their effect. Worms can actually help eat and eliminate unproductive garbage in the body from unhealthy foods and toxic debris, and the poison they release afterwards is neither highly neurotoxic nor dermatoxic. However, worms can strip your body of beneficial things as well. The majority of worms dwell in the organs and act in a slightly hostile manner. Fortunately, there are ways you can begin to draw worms out and clear them from your system.
If you’re working to eliminate worms, eating a diet that contains a larger amount of greens and green juices as well as a bit of fruit is an incredible way to start ridding your body of worms and worm eggs. If you are able to maintain a clean diet for an extended period of time, you will begin to draw worms out of your system. You may even notice worms turn up in the toilet over time as you continue to give your body what it needs to eliminate them.
Garlic and onion are two foods that can be helpful to get rid of worms. Garlic especially, can be a fantastic weapon against worms. Alongside clean food choices with a significant focus on fruits, veggies and leafy greens, certain supplements can help with the removal of worms. You may want to try including an ample amount of olive leaf in your protocol for a period of time. Goldenseal can also be beneficial when taken every two weeks with a two week break in-between. If you’ve been told by a doctor or practitioner that you have a long-term parasitic infection, implementing this goldenseal routine will likely be helpful for you as well. It will help to lower the bacterial and viral load that is actually causing your symptoms because as you now know, you can’t have a long term true parasitic infection. There is something else behind your symptoms when it’s chronic.
If you have been told you are experiencing a long-term parasitic infection, your practitioner may have suggested doing a parasite cleanse. If you have done one of these natural cleanses you may have even noticed some benefits. The reason for this is that when you attempt to address parasites through natural measures, you may have been unintentionally going after the true cause of your issues without realizing it. Natural cleanses advertised to help fight parasites can often begin to help knock down bacterial or viral loads in the body, which is why you might have experienced some improvement.
Although some of the herbs in these cleanses can provide support, figuring out the unique pathogen you are up against and choosing the best foods, supplements, and herbs to combat your specific illness can allow proper healing. Steps to Take
If you have been told you are dealing with a long-term parasitic infection, instead of immediately diving into a parasitic cleanse, I would first recommend eliminating any foods from your diet that could feed harmful bacteria and viruses in your body. As you now know, the reason to focus on eliminating bacteria and viruses rather than parasites is because most people diagnosed with a parasitic infection are actually battling a type of bacteria, or in some cases, a virus.
Ridding your diet of foods that can feed pathogens is a wonderfully beneficial action you can take. Try to eliminate eggs, dairy products such as milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt, as well as gluten and canola oil. If your diet includes animal protein or animal products, try to reduce the amount you consume while you work to heal your symptoms and conditions. If you’re an avid meat eater, reduce your intake of meat or chicken to once a day. This dietary change will allow you to incorporate a greater number of healing foods that can help kill off the bacteria in your system over time. If you eat a plant-based diet, being mindful of incorporating truly healing foods like fresh fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables is equally important. Certain vegan products like soy based products, most grains, processed cookies, cakes and other junk foods and more do not feed beneficial bacteria, and replacing some of these food items with foods that do can be a critical step.
What people assume are parasite issues can often be bacteria-related, making it important to prioritize the health of your intestinal tract. Taking steps to feed the beneficial bugs in this part of your digestive system is crucial. Certain foods can help you accomplish this. Try incorporating dandelion greens and arugula, two powerful leafy greens. Cilantro and parsley are some other fantastic additions. Using a food processor to breakdown greens and bring more into your meals is a fantastic practice.
Juicing fennel bulbs, which are rich in vitamin C, can create a wonderfully healing drink. For another fantastic juice, run fennel bulbs, celery, and cucumber through the juicer. Drinking straight celery juice can be a game changer for your health. Raising hydrochloric acid levels, one of the celery juice’s many benefits, can support your body’s efforts to kill off bacteria. With adequate levels of hydrochloric acid in your body, you have a much better chance of killing off harmful invaders, including parasites. A second juice following your celery juice can be fantastic as well. You may want to include a mix of ingredients in this one. Some great vegetables to juice include kale, parsley, cilantro, and fennel. Aloe vera can be a powerful weapon for a number of issues. If you’re struggling with gut issues or even genuine parasite issues, regularly drinking coconut water can make an amazing difference. Lemon water and lime water are two other anti-parasitic drink options.
Bringing in the top foods for detoxing heavy metals on a daily basis can be another highly supportive practice. By implementing the heavy metal detox, you can begin to draw out toxic metals such as mercury, aluminum, lead, and arsenic. You may feel like your parasitic issue is beginning to resolve, but what’s really happening is that a significant food source for the bacteria in your system is no longer available.
Supportive Supplements & Teas
If you have been told you have a long-term parasitic infection by a doctor or practitioner, and you aren’t willing to consider that this may not be an accurate diagnosis, I would still suggest bringing in an abundance of the healing foods mentioned above and discussing with your doctor some of the supplements and teas below that might support your situation.
Oregano oil is fantastic for any kind of gut issue that stems from a bacterial infection. Lemon balm, olive leaf, and pau d’arco are three other great supplements to consider including in your protocol if you’re suffering from an issue that your doctor considers parasite-related. If you’re having issues in your gut or bloodstream, eyebright is a wonderful herb to include. Thyme tea and elderflower tea are excellent additions as well. Regularly sipping elderflower tea can help feed good bacteria in your gut— a protective measure to help you fend against any harmful parasites you may encounter.
Cat’s claw can help with a multitude of pathogenic issues. This supplement can help knock down varieties of Epstein-Barr, HHV-6, shingles, and other viruses that fall within the herpes family. Cat’s claw can also help battle bacteria such as E. Coli and streptococcus as well as C. difficile.
Doctors presently attempting to treat Lyme disease are beginning to avoid using antibiotics as a treatment option after watching forefathers in the world of Lyme disease inundate patients with antibiotics with little to no success. Gradually, the doses have been lowered and the time frame in which they are given has been extended. Presently, many doctors working with patients who have been diagnosed with Lyme avoid antibiotics altogether and opt for a more natural protocol that includes cat’s claw and intravenous vitamin therapy. Many have come to the realization that a more natural approach to healing which includes these and other supplements can actually move people towards recovery. Inflammation—you’ve probably heard this term thrown around, and, whether you were aware of it or not, you’ve most likely experienced some type of inflammation during your lifetime. At present, the word inflammation is used liberally in medical communities. If you are suffering from pain in certain areas, a medical professional may deem it inflammation. “There’s inflammation in there,” a doctor may remark after reviewing MRI results. Or, “you’re inflamed,” a practitioner may say when you share you have joint pain, a rash, or strange pains. Really inflammation is a “lazy term,” because inflammation is the result of a deeper issue, it is never the answer itself. While I support medical professionals observing and attempting to relieve inflammation, I want these experts and you and your loved ones to know that inflammation is not the cause of any issue. Nor is it an independent issue. There is something else going on if you have inflammation— it doesn’t operate alone. This mistaken belief needs to be rectified.
Inflammation is a sign that there is a greater problem taking place in the body. If an individual is complaining of back pain, knee problems, or gut issues, his or her doctor or practitioner may suggest that inflammation is to blame. And, while inflammation may be present, it is never the answer. It is simply an indication that something else in the body needs to be addressed. The mistake here is not the medical communities wanting to address and relieve the inflammation— although the methods suggested to find relief are not always helpful— the great mistake is regarding the inflammation itself as the answer to someone’s symptoms and conditions. I delve far more deeply into this topic in my third book, Thyroid Healing.
The Two Reasons for Inflammation
Inflammation never develops on its own, and only emerges for two reasons. In the human body where hundreds of millions of undiscovered chemical functions and chemical reactions are taking place per cubic inch, it might be surprising to learn that there are only two reasons behind inflammation, but this is the irrefutable truth that I have to share with you. Medical communities are completely unaware of this fact. The first reason inflammation may appear is if you experience a physical injury. Physicians are aware of this type of inflammation. Any damage to the body, whether it be external or internal, may give rise to inflammation. What most doctors and health practitioners aren’t aware of is that an invader in the body is the second reason inflammation can surface. Invader refers to any type of pathogen in the body.
Have you ever sustained a sports or exercise-related injury? In this instance, inflammation related to that injury likely emerged. Other examples of injuring yourself that may result in inflammation include getting dental work done, accidentally cutting yourself, or slipping on ice in the wintertime. A movement as simple as tripping on a curb can lead to a serious sprained ankle and extensive inflammation. You can also sustain an injury from a chemical or burn. This is the type of inflammation most doctors and health practitioners are aware causes inflammation. If a physical injury is not to blame for your inflammation, than you will be dealing with an invader.
There are hundreds of invaders that can stir up inflammation issues in the body from rashes to body aches and pains and much more. Recovering from a knee replacement surgery is just one example of how pathogens can create inflammation and impact the body’s ability to heal. Someone may have knee replacement surgery, recover quickly and find him or herself walking soon after without issue. In this instance, the person is not likely to have had invaders triggering inflammation issues around the area where the surgery took place. However, if you have knee replacement surgery and the knee does not seem to be calming down or healing properly after an extended period of recovery, it is likely that an invader is creating issues. This invader and the chronic inflammation it can provoke may have even been part of the reason the knee joint wore out initially. When it comes to knee and hip replacements, often a slow, extended recovery, at least in part, is related to the Epstein-Barr virus in the body.
At present, some medical professionals blame inflammation on the body attacking itself, but this is a disastrously inaccurate theory and claim. As I’ve said so many times before and will continue to maintain— the body does not attack itself. There are only two reasons someone will suffer from inflammation— neither of which is the body attacking itself. I brought this truth to light in my first book, Medical Medium, and again in my second book, Life-Changing Foods. I go into even greater detail in my upcoming book, Thyroid Healing. It is critical that the faulty and damaging theory of autoimmune disease be rectified. This is just one of the many great mistakes I continuously work hard to shed light on in order to protect you and your loved ones.
Types of Inflammation
Below are some common types of inflammation. Through these examples, you can develop a better understanding of how invaders play a major role in the creation of inflammation in the body.
Many people suffer from different levels of brain inflammation. Nerves connected to the brain run throughout the body, branching out into various parts of the system. Neurological inflammation can occur when these nerves become inflamed. Numerous pathogenic invaders can play a part in the creation of this neurological inflammation, along with other factors like heavy metal poisoning or MSG toxicity.
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), which has a number of other labels including myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome, and systemic exertion intolerance disease, is often the result of mild brain inflammation from an Epstein-Barr virus. Even very mild brain inflammation can trigger a severe case of this condition. If you have CFS, a specialist may be able to tell you that you have brain inflammation, but he or she will not be able to tell you the pathogen responsible. For decades I’ve been able to tell people whether Epstein-Barr is the invader, or Epstein-Barr and shingles are the invaders, or whether it’s a combination of Epstein-Barr, shingles, and HHV-6, all thanks to Spirit’s advanced knowledge and guidance on the subject. Sadly, because many working with those who suffer from chronic illness aren’t yet aware of the information I share, patients are being incorrectly told that their bodies are attacking themselves. This not only serves to breakdown the immune system, but does not provide people with the answers they need to heal.
Inflammation in various organs can lead to major health issues, but it’s the pathogen or injury that is the true cause of these issues. Liver inflammation is an issue I see with extreme frequency. Liver inflammation is often the result of pathogens wreaking havoc in this organ. An invader can cause a number of problems including triggering elevated liver enzymes. If particular damage is seen on an MRI or CT scan, someone may be handed a hepatitis C diagnosis. Although medical communities know that hepatitis A, B, C, and D stem from viral issues, what medical research and medical science do not know is which virus is creating these issues. They have no clue that the cause of hepatitis C is Epstein-Barr creating damage in the liver for an extended period of time because they have yet to single out the particular bugs that are triggering these issues.
Instead, the medical profession has to rely on on inflammatory markers in the blood or MRIs and CT scans to classify a hepatic liver at different stages of inflammation. What they have not yet realized is that inflammation is not the answer! The true answer is that Epstein-Barr virus, sometimes along with other herpetic viruses, are creating the inflamed liver. A doctor might also try to pin mystery liver inflammation on autoimmune issues, but as I said earlier, inflammation never stems from the body attacking itself because the body never attacks itself. Do not let a medical professional convince you that your liver inflammation, your fibromyalgia, your rheumatoid arthritis, or any other health problem is because your body is attacking itself. This is never ever the case!
Eye inflammation can arise from a number of different bacteria getting into this organ. You can pick up a stye, staph or come down with the flu just from touching door handles in public places and rubbing your eyes. Glaucoma stems from a mutated variety of the Epstein-Barr virus that triggers eye problems. Other types of inflammation you may experience include skin inflammation, gut inflammation, or colon inflammation. A number of invaders can enter the gut, wreak havoc, and trigger inflammation. For example, if you suffer from small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) you most likely have streptococcus in your system that is creating inflammation and other issues in the gut. To learn more about SIBO, check out my “Healing SIBO” radio show. Various viruses and bacteria can sit inside the colon and stir up major issues. Some of the viruses you may be dealing with include a variety of the shingles, a strain of Epstein-Barr, a mutated HHV-6 virus, cytomegalovirus, undiscovered HHV-10, HHV-11, HHV-12 or another of the many herpetic viruses in existence. Conditions connected to colon inflammation can have a number of different instigators. If you suffer from colitis, a variety of the shingles virus is often the culprit. As I shared in my first book, Medical Medium, there are many varieties of undiscovered non-rashing shingles that cause a host of health problems. However, if you are suffering from irritable bowel, streptococcus may be to blame.
Inflammation can also occur if you catch a flu. If you are only experiencing cold-like symptoms you may think you have a rhinovirus, but these viruses no longer exist. I shared more on this topic in my radio show and article on Colds and Flus. The flu, which has globally taken over, now emerges approximately every two months, and can trigger severe inflammation. It can trigger inflammation in the sinuses, chest, lungs, and gut and may give rise to issues such as bronchitis, a serious cough, and severely weakened adrenals. Another reason for inflamed sinuses is the result of streptococcus inside the sinus linings. Streptococcus, which can be nestled inside these linings since childhood, can create persistent mystery sinus inflammation.
The Effect of Food
An alternative, conventional, or integrative doctor or practitioner is likely to balk at the fact that there are only two causes of inflammation— injuries and invaders. Some doctors or practitioners may respond with the inaccurate notion that certain foods, such as wheat, inflame certain individuals, but this is not accurate. Gluten itself does not inflame the body. What gluten does do is feed the invaders (pathogens) in your body that give rise to inflammation. I’ve worked tirelessly to get this information to medical communities and to the public, and I’ve happily noticed that this truth is starting to slowly ripple out into the health world.
For example, there is a tremendous amount of misinformation surrounding celiac disease. Celiac is not hereditary. It is an inflammatory illness where pathogens in the body are feverishly feeding on any gluten that’s consumed. Fueling these pathogens can lead to a host of negative reactions in the body, but the gluten is not directly responsible for any of these negative consequences.
If you do not have a pathogen in your system or only have an extremely dormant pathogen, then you will be able to eat all the gluten you desire without creating inflammation. Unproductive food choices may lead to other issues like the development of gallstones, which could lead to an internal injury if the gallstone gets stuck in the gallbladder duct, but any inflammation that arises from this issue would be injury- not pathogen-related.
I’ve known some seventy, eighty, and ninety-year-old men and women who have been able to eat some very unhealthy foods, including a tremendous amount of gluten, because they do not have invaders in their bodies that are feeding on these foods and creating inflammation. For many people in their seventies, eighties, and nineties this is not the case, but for a few anomalous individuals pathogen-related inflammation is nearly nonexistent.
The Role of Heavy Metals
Like the foods you choose to eat, heavy metals in the system do not technically cause inflammation. However, heavy metals are a preferred food for invaders in the body that do cause inflammation. Over a year ago, I discussed this exact concept with a practitioner who had at first suggested that heavy metals were the cause of inflammation. I told him what actually happens— that heavy metals feed pathogens that are then more likely to create inflammation and other issues in the body. It’s very important to remove heavy metals from the body for this reason. It is critical that both practitioners and patients begin to learn the truth about where inflammation stems from.
There are a number of inflammatory tests you can have done, but I like to refer to these tests as “guess tests” because they can only reveal so much information and do not highlight the underlying cause or provide you with answers on how to move forward. Let’s take a look as some of the available inflammatory “guess tests”.
The C-reactive protein test simply lets doctors know that there is inflammation, but the test cannot reveal why the inflammation is present. This is true of the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR or sed rate) test as well. Once doctors use these tests to establish that you have inflammation, they are likely to hand you a label, but will not be able to provide you with a cause or sufficient answers to help you heal. The plasma viscosity (PV) test, IgA and IgG tests, and the antinuclear antibody test (ANA), are some other tests that may help to reveal inflammation in your body, but will not provide you with any additional insight into the true cause. This is because the tests are not yet advanced enough and also because the true causes of chronic illnesses are unknown to medical communities. Like many of the others tests, the liver enzyme blood work test and other similar tests, some of which are still being developed, only identify inflammation.
One promising step in the Lyme disease world is that experts are starting to make a connection between inflammation and a pathogen wreaking havoc in the body. Although experts are currently suggesting the wrong pathogen as the cause of Lyme, the foundational idea that pathogens are one of the issues behind inflammation is a positive step forward. I believe that movement toward truth should be celebrated, no matter how small! Supportive Foods & Supplements
When you are working to reduce inflammation, the more anti-inflammatory foods you can bring into your diet the better. Garlic, which helps kill pathogens, is an excellent anti-inflammatory food. Figs can kill pathogens in the gut, making them an incredible anti-inflammatory option as well. If you have a number of pathogens in your system, it is best to not eat too many figs in one sitting because of the strong detox reaction you may experience.
Like figs, kiwis work in the gut to help destroy pathogens. The anti-pathogenic properties in lemons and limes are powerful, so make sure to squeeze these citrus fruits in water, on salads, and in your favorite sauces and dressings. If you are suffering with inflammation and think you may have a bacteria, parasite or virus of any kind, bring plenty of pears into your diet. Their anti-inflammatory attributes can be incredibly beneficial. Papaya can be a particularly powerful food if you are suffering from gut inflammation.
Apples, wild blueberries, and leafy greens such as lettuces, arugula, and kale are other wonderful, pathogen-fighting foods that consequently help lower inflammation. Peaches, plums, nectarines, melons, mangos, and cherries are even more, flavorful anti-inflammatory recommendations. Some pathogen-destroying, anti-inflammatory herbs to incorporate into your diet include rosemary, thyme, sage, and oregano. Another supportive food to bring in regularly is aloe vera. Many of these anti-inflammatory foods are detailed in my second book, Life-Changing Foods.
Nettle leaf and lemon balm are wonderful anti-pathogenic supplement options. Licorice root, another anti-inflammatory choice, is especially good at fighting off herpetic viruses. Bringing in a licorice root supplement or regularly drinking licorice root tea can be a powerful step. I frequently mention various herbal teas that can offer anti-inflammatory benefits on my radio show, in my books, and in other blog posts.
Foods to Avoid
As you bring more life-giving, anti-inflammatory fruits and veggies into your diet, it is beneficial to begin eliminating the foods that feed the pathogens that trigger an inflammatory response. Foods to remove from your diet while you heal include wheat, gluten, and dairy such as milk, cheese, butter, kefir, and yogurt. Other foods to exclude if you have inflammation or think you may be inflamed are eggs, pork, canola oil, and corn.
At present, medical communities are using inflammation as as a catch-all term, but it is important that experts begin to recognize inflammation is caused by more than just physical injuries—it’s also caused by invaders. And if some are aware that inflammation is caused by invaders, identifying which pathogen is impossible with today’s medical testing methods. People need answers that are not contaminated, attached to interest groups, medical funding, trendy theories, or botched research. People need pure, clean, truthful healing information.
I’ve seen people with heartbreakingly severe inflammation who haven’t been given the answers they need to heal. My hope is that this article and the other Medical Medium resources available help bring you new hope and renewed faith in your body’s ability to move past the inflammation and its underlying cause. You can overcome this! Trust your body, trust the accuracy of this information, and know that I will never stop rooting for you along the way!
