Who doesn't love hummus? It's one of the first foods to go at parties for good reason! Hummus is a delicious, creamy, and satisfying dip for veggies, crackers, wraps, sandwiches, or on top of salad. This recipe is oil free and low in fat, making it a great hummus option to support weight loss.

Sesame seeds are a high energy food that help to provide optimum health and wellness. They are an excellent source of high quality protein which is most beneficial for growth, especially in children. Sesame seeds are also high in minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, and copper. In fact, did you know that just a 1/4 cup of sesame seeds provides MORE calcium than 1 cup of milk? The copper in sesame seeds offers anti-inflammatory benefits which can help to relieve swelling in auto-immune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, and the niacin enhances GABA activity in the brain, reducing anxiety, and providing for a better night’s sleep. Sesame seeds nourish the nervous system, strengthen hormone production, support the cardiovascular system, benefit the digestive system, and reduce fatigue. 4 cups cooked garbanzo beans
1/2 cup tahini
4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tsp cumin
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup water
Optional: 1/8 tsp paprika
In a food processor, combine the garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin and sea salt. Process until roughly combined.
Continue processing while streaming in up to 1/2 cup of water until desired consistency is reached. If desired, served sprinkled with paprika. Enjoy!
